textbookoneParticipantDoes Maine have grandparents rights laws? PA has them. A parent cannot keep a child from their grandparents without just cause. I know a couple who recently sued their ex-DIL and got visitation rights. Can you imagine Snowing going to court 😛 Maybe Rumple will have to draw up the contracts since he was a lawyer. (Oh, I’m getting a wacko fanfic idea in a Bizzaro world of Storybrooke where everyone hates Emma for her choices 😛 )
I second Rainbow! Please write this!
The tent is portable; but hopping onto the train means crawling out from under my table in the corner and darn it I LIKE hiding here!! It is safe and warm, away from the hate and the drama that engulfs “out there.” The sky is falling, you know, or perhaps it has already fallen, but this hiding is my plan to survive through to the back end. Maybe we can reinforce the caboose, or move the darned table, right onto the train. Do y’all serve cocoa there? I do love a good conspiracy.
Don’t worry, we’ll tether the tent to the caboose as we pass you by. ALL ABOARD!
*Insane ramblings from girl who has worked far, far too many hours this week. Sleep? Astra & text stole all of my sleep, crazy wee-hours chatting :p Don’t mind the crazy coming from this corner!*

Who says that isn’t a stop on the Conspiracy Train (just maybe a little bit further down the line, through a long, dark tunnel. There may also be some pretty vicious vultures… let’s hope the bridge isn’t out…)? Maybe I should go back to hiding behind the bar with my cookies…

I have questions, actors. I have many questions.
All aboard the Conspiracy Train! Meet you at the bar RG?

textbookoneParticipantSadly I think what might happen is, because of the kiss curse, Hook starts keeping his distance from Emma, which makes her start to pursue him. Emma is already acting OOC, so why not make it worse!

textbookoneParticipantBefore 316 when Walsh was revealed to be the Wizard, I sorta thought that monkeys could fly between realms. But if Walsh is really just a man who was turned into a monkey, then maybe not.
It still speaks (to me) to a larger plan to keep Emma distracted and away from Storybrooke.
I just had a thought though, how did Zelena know about Emma at all? Maybe from Walsh’s magic video floor? Somehow she would have had to have know about The Savior and how dangerous Emma could be to her plan. I kind of sort of wonder if Maybe Zelena tortured it out of Neal if he and Rumple ever switched at some point back in her captivity in the EF. Doubtful, but it just came to my mind.

textbookoneParticipantIn related ponderings, I’m now wondering if maybe it WAS Zelena who sent Hook to get Emma (though Hook may not have been aware it was Zelena). That theory has never made much sense to me, and I still think she’s crazy to have wanted Emma to get her memories back and return to SB, but perhaps she decided that even Emma without her memories was a loose canon who might someday come after her, so better to draw her in and eliminate her. Also, the only way to get Neal and Rumple separated, to have Rumple’s mind clear and useful, was for Emma’s magic to be in town. And if Emma’s magic was around to separate them, then Neal would be eliminated once and for all, and that brings us back to Zelena wanting to curse Emma’s powers away and for there to be no way of that curse being broken.
I’m still confused by this whole thing (in the show). It seems like Zelena found a way to get to the LWM long before casting the new curse (maybe the silver slippers?), because Walsh and Emma were in a relationship for 8 months. It appears like Walsh’s purpose was to keep Emma distracted and away from Storybrooke, but I honestly don’t know with this show anymore. I really hope that we get this backstory at some point, but again me of little faith.

textbookoneParticipantOkay, so I wrote the following stuff in JANUARY. It was originally part of my ‘Shipping Meta, but I felt like it went on too much of a tangent to the original point of the meta. So I cut it, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to make it a standalone piece, especially since it’s old and outdated now anyway. But I think it’s a little relevant to this morning’s conversation (or maybe I’m stretching…). Anyway:
I have to wonder how difficult this (the shipping community and shipping wars) makes Eddy and Adam’s job? On one hand they have their intentions and long reaching plan for the characters in the series, and on the other they have to contend with a large and rowdy fanbase they wants to constantly be the uninvited peanut gallery. There will always be people to disagree with how certain events are unfolding, and there will always be the one who support it (though it always seems to be the negative voices who are the loudest, the ones that get remembered the most). Do I personally like everything that’s happened thus far? No. Will I like everything that will come in the future? Probably not. Have I read fanfiction that at times I’ve desperately wished was part of the actual series. … Yeah… sadly… But I would much MUCH rather have any OUaT than no OUaT. I’ve just gotten used to taking the good with the bad (though I will rage eternally about some episodes, like Selfless, Brave and True), because I have hope that the final outcome will outweigh all the mud we’ve had to trudge through to get there.
Can OUAT really afford to be making these kind of decisions these days? From all appearances the show seems to be bleeding viewers. Granted, this is something I can’t definitively prove, but when the ratings seem to come in lower and lower each week (or at least plateauing), especially for episodes that I’d honestly thought were some of the strongest of the entire season, well there has to be something to that. OUAT already has a large online fandom, and while I only lurk around the periphery of a very selected niche of said fandom, the anonymous confessions blogs I follow seem average at least one post per day along the lines of: “I can’t watch this show anymore! I just can’t!” or “X person used to watch this show, and now they don’t.”. While this could be the same person posting over and over again, it does create a perception within those of us who are hardcore enough to be all over the internet sharing our joint love of OUAT. Even in my real life I know at least a half dozen people who used to watch the show. Some are still vaguely interested in what is going on and I share enthusiastically, hoping to bring them back into the fold (but also for the selfish reason of having a real life person to share my obsession with), but most of them have this disdain for the show, as if there was just that one plot point, or that one scene that was the tipping point and now they will never forgive A&E for breaking their hearts (Selfless, Brave and True seems to be that point for a number of people I’ve talked to). I keep hoping to be able to coax them back with promises of character development and interesting plot points in season 3, but the more I try to convince them the more it feels like I’m trying to convince myself.
It’s my fear that I’m making empty promises and instead trying to make someone relapse on OUAT will only push them farther, because while I think there have definitely been some improvements this season, can I really call all the problems of season 2 fixed? No, not by a long shot. And because I can’t make that promise in good faith, is there really any point in trying to bring anyone back? I have so much unbelieveable hope for s3B, that the fairy tale flashbacks will finally serve a purpose again instead of being an often pointless analogy taking away from the real plot. And there will also be the mystery of what happened over that missing year! But I can’t help but feel like I’m getting my hopes up for no reason. Thus far A&E’s track record isn’t the most reliable, so that’s a bet I’m not willing to put money on.
Also, apparently I’m psychic about my own disillusionment with the show. *le sigh* Things I never expected, nor wanted to be right about. 🙁
