*Sniffle Sniffle* I always loved Pre-Dark One Rumpel. 😥 He was so sweet and humble. Like all of you, this episode is going to kill me. I like that he and Milha looked happy together. Even though I’m a Rumbelle shipper, I’m glad he and Milha were happy during the first stage of their marriage. But it really does contradict what we saw in The Crocodile. There didn’t seem to be any love between the two of them in that episode.
And where the heck is Hook’s hook? 😮 Did Cora give him a new hand? Hmmm.
Oh, and one more thing. Ehem ehem…DADDY RUMPEL!!! 😀 😀 😀
[adrotate group="5"]the fairestParticipantMidnight Dreary, A Chipped Cup and An Empty Heart, I agree with everything you guys just said. Belle has given up a lot to be with Rumpel and she’s behaved admirably throughout this whole ordeal. She knows about Rumpel’s terrible deeds and she’s still sticking around. She has accepted that her true love has done terrible things but she’s trying to help him recover from his darkness. She’s trying to help him become a better man. She doesn’t want to transform him into a different person, she simply wants to help become a better man. Even Rumpel has acknowledge this.
Rumpel was not evil. He used to be a humble single father with dreams of saving innocent children from the ogre wars. This is the true Rumpel. Kind, humble and fatherly. Belle simply wants to help Rumpel return to that. Baelfire wanted the same thing. He saw what the curse did to his father and desperately wanted to reverse it. So, Belle helping Rumpel become a better person is something Baelfire would have wanted. Baelfire would have appreciated that someone still had faith in his father and tried to help him become a better person. Belle and Baelfire were doing the right thing.

the fairestParticipantAww, Snow’s mother is a real beauty. 😀 It looks like she might have been poisoned in that photo though. 😥
the fairestParticipantGreat promo! 😀
I love seeing Snow with her bow again. She looks so awesome! And I hope Belle is put in Ruby and Granny’s care as well. She’ll be safe with them. But as far as Nurse Ratched goes…ugh…for the love of God, please don’t let her take care of Belle. She seemed to have some sort friendship or alliance with Regina, so I don’t think she’s qualified to offer the proper care and support Belle needs right now.
the fairestParticipantI’m praying to all the gods in heaven that this will be August’s big comeback episode. But there’s also the possibility that this will be an Emma or Snow centric episode as well. Baelfire is also a possibilty. Bae was always brave and selfless, so maybe this episode will show how he adapted to life in our world after he came through the vortex.
the fairestParticipantI’m torn between so many theories right now. My brain can’t take it anymore! 😯
I’m going to place my bet on this episode being about either Greg’s “Her,” Belle’s Storybrooke persona, Mother Superior (maybe her name in Storybrooke is Lacey), or possibly a town called Lacey.
I also like the theory of Lacey possibly being Mr Gold’s first name. The meaning behind the name describes Mr. Gold perfectly and the producers stated in an interview from last year that we would learn Mr. Gold’s first name in season 2. So, that would be cool. Maybe we’ll get a flashbak of Mr. Gold before Emma came to town.
the fairestParticipant488 ^Thanks! 😀
the fairestParticipantOMG! This episode sounds PHENOMENAL! I always wondered if the writers would revisit the ogre wars or not, so it’s good to know that they will.
I was sort of looking forward to more Emma and Neal then Rumpelstiltskin–they are the ones that might meet up in this episode after 11 years apart.
I disagree. Rumpel has been searching for Baelfire for the past 300 years, so of course this particular episode is going to focus on him. His origin story spawned the rest of the show’s storylines, so I think dedicating this episode to Rumpel is appropriate. And in my opinion, Rumpel and Bae’s possible reunion is more important that Emma and Neal’s possible reunion. Both are important, but at the moment, I think one kind of trumps the other.
the fairestParticipantYeah, I’m not sure if Rumpel would knowingly raise his daughter to be a monster. Even for the Dark One, that’s pretty cruel. He spent so much time obsessing over finding Baelfire and changing for him, so having him turn around and destroy his daughter’s life is just…it just doesn’t jive with what we know of Rumpel’s character. Yes, he’s a horrible example of a father and lover, but he does love them. He truly loves Belle and he truly loves Baelfire. He doesn’t always express his love in the proper way, but it’s there. I truly belive that Rumpel would have at least tried to protect Regina if he knew she was his daughter.
The writers need to be careful with this particular storyline. One wrong step and the whole is ruined.
