So, this is the face of evil, huh? But answer me this. Why does evil have to be so darn pretty? 😡

The characters felt a bit…off. I didn’t buy that Regina, knowing all the terrible things Cora has done to her, would just fall back into her trap. Mr. Gold threatening the Charming family was unnecessary. And since when is Dr. Whale suicidal? I understood Belle’s reaction to Rumpel. Poor thing doesn’t remember a thing, so naturally, anyone claiming to be her true love and putting the moves on her will scare her. But like others have said, smashing the cup was just too much. Overall, most of my enjoyment of this episode came from a few funny character moments. Mr. Gold/Rumpelstiltskin had some pretty funny lines. Grumpy was also pretty funny. I also really liked Regina’s line about “the two idiots.”

This was my favorite line too. 😆
the fairestParticipantI don’t mind there being a few bumps along the road, but having Belle and Rumpel hook up with other people would be a pretty big violation of the rules of true love. Yes, MM and David had separate love lives, but they were under a curse. And even though they both slept with other people, they never truly fell in love with those people. David was never truly in love with Kathryn (sure he loved her, but he was never in love with her.) And all MM could do was have a one night stand with Dr. Whale, but she herself admitted that it was a mistake. MM and David kept gravitating back to each other. They could barely stay away from each other. They knew they had something special, but they could never truly express it because of the curse. So having Belle legitimately fall for someone else would be ridiculous.

They really need to make Neal a regular. MRJ is awesome, and his character is pretty darned important. Hope we see lots more of him!
I agree. If he really is Baelfire, then he’s going to become vital to the main plot.

the fairestParticipantWhat?!?!? Since when did Ruby and Mr. Gold have a relationship together? Did I miss something? 😕
the fairestParticipantI’m not terribly symathetic towards Hook either.
the fairestParticipantOk, now that I’ve managed to get my emotions under control…WOW!!! This episode was AMAZING! 😀 I loved everything about it. Badass Belle, plenty of development for Rumbelle, a lot of tense moments with Hook, and some great flashbacks with Belle and Mulan.
Favorite moments:
-Belle being the one to rescue Archie. Belle is usually the one who’s always getting kidnapped, so it was cool to see her be the hero this time.
-Belle using her intellect to not only defeat the demon, but defeat Hook as well.
-The big reveal with Prince Philip. It was great seeing him again.
-Robert Carlyle and Emilie’s de Ravin’s performances. They were both stellar in this episode. Absolutely amazing.
-Belle fighting off Hook in the library.
-The final scene before everything fell apart. I liked the conversation between Belle and Mr. Gold in his car.
-Emma trying to cheer Henry up with a poptart. So cute. 😆
Least favorite moments:
-The ending. Why? WHYYYYYYYYYY?!?!?!?! Not only was she shot, but she also lost her memory. Belle finally gets some substantial character development and the writers take it away from us. Of course, Rumpel will find a way to cure, but it still sucks.
-I didn’t like how lightly Archie’s big reveal was handled. Emma and Henry didn’t seem all that shocked. It just came off as…odd.
the fairestParticipantGuys, I’m pretty sure it’s a spell.
…or at least I hope it is. 😕
