I agree. I think the main problems with Regina’s logic are these:
1) Like you said, no one has a definite happy ending.
2) She actually has her life pretty good. I mean, she has Henry that loves her and finally remembers her, she has Emma who is sort of her friend. She has the support of Snow and Charming, who she tried to kill a lot of times and yet somehow they forgave her and mostly trust her now. Speaking of which, 30 years ago she was almost excuted because of all the crimes she did and now not only she’s alive but also she’s not in prison and living in a giant mansion. But of course a guy she was dating for a couple of weeks left her so her life is completely miserable.
3) From what she said in 4×01 it seems like she only tried to be good because she thought good guys get happy endings. What she’s saying is “I only did good things because I thought it would bring me something. Now that I don’t get what I want screw other people or morallity I’ll just return to being bad.” I know that she decided not to kill Marian but it still tells me something about her redemption. She still feels like someone owns her something for not murdering people.
4) Does she seriously think the writer of the book made her a villain?!?

Oh come on don’t the writers have a better use for Will than ruining the CS date? I mean it’s like they have to put him in a number of episodes because he’s a regular and now they’re like “let’s put him in this episode for a few seconds without any real reason”.
Will deserves better writers! He deserves to be treated like a character with a plot and everything. We deserve to know what the hell is he doing in Storybrooke!

I like how The Snow Queen isn’t 100% evil. She’s cute and sort of wants to help Elsa and she gives ice cream to people! (You know, when she doesn’t curse them)

I really liked how a bit of Marian’s hair turned white like Anna’s in the movie.
They actually gave Marian a few sentences that showed she’s a living human being and not a wall in the shape of a human between Regina and Robin
Least favorites:
We got the Knave but we didn’t really get him. I mean. he wasn’t an actual character this episode, he was just a way to tell Emma about the Snow Queen and make her feel bad about herself.
Hans dying after one epsiode. I know he’s a villain and he’s not even the real villain of the story in OUAT but I really liked him.

Robin, honey, it’s great that you love Regina, but do you really have to tell her that RIGHT NEXT TO THE FORZEN BODY OF YOUR DYING WIFE?!?
Rumple being shaddy and ruining everything with Belle.
This “I’m framing you so you’ll see that everyone thinks you’re a monster” thing feels way to much like Cora.
Hook’s “I know we’re being attacked by a snow witch and everyone’s in danger but what about meeeeeee” attitude.

On one hand I’m glad they cut this scene. It’s completly illogical that Regina doesn’t want to see Henry for a few days so he decides that he wants to forget her and his entire life?!? I mean seriously?
On the other hand it seems like they’re cutting every scene that has deep conversations and character developement for the sake of PLOT. It just sucks.

I agree. The best actor in this show. He captured perfectly Frozen’s Sven’s spirit and sass.
