I’m expecting Season Two to be filled with the War between good and evil in SB made possible by Emma’s breaking the curse. I doubt Henry will move back in with Regina. So he’ll be on the run to avoid getting captured. There will be many “clash of the Titans” as Regina and Mr Gold face off. Sheriff Swan will have her hands full with crimes being committed with the use of magic (hopefully not degenerating into another Grimm-like cop drama with fairy tale characters).
The initial alliance of good characters called “Operation Cobra” will gain additional allies who all want Regina to pay a price for those 28 years of unhappy endings. Mr Gold may even team up with the Good Guys on occasion to find Bae, to torment Regina or win back Belle’s heart every time he gets consumed with the pursuit of power.
We may see Granny and Ruby morph into wolves in SB to help take out Regina. The Seven Dwarves may find a way to mine diamonds in SB to provide the fairies with the ingredient for their magic to work for good. Meanwhile Jefferson will be using his hat to move between worlds and possibly recruit fighters from those realms to show up in SB for a big showdown.
[adrotate group="5"]the wizParticipantI’d use magic to heal other’s emotional wounds like Regina’s “hole in her heart” from profound loneliness, Emma’s blockages from her “abandonment issues”, August’s guilt for being selfish and neglecting his commitment to Emma, Jefferson’s chronic anxiety or Rumple’s burden that turns him into a coward. It would be so cool to cast a spell that vanished all that pain in an instant for anyone I encountered.
the wizParticipantI voted for Emma and August. I think August has the most romantic/seductive eyes of any of the male leads. I’m waiting for Emma to look into them, instead of looking at those baby blues. Know that we know August’s backstory, he could fulfill his commitment if he become romantically involved with Emma. Sweeping her off her feet could get her believe in the curse and her savior role — much better than any conversation or bike ride.
the wizParticipantI’ve been getting so many new insights out of re-watching prior episodes, it appears to me like a treasure trove for more podcasts. In addition to catching lots of small details in the scenes, props and costumes, it’s been fun to see if my “theory du jour” holds up when I look back on earlier events.
This suggests a strategy of focusing a hiatus podcast on one theory or one character, and opening up the exploration to include all relevant Season One episodes.
the wizParticipantOn the Once podcast, Jenny is outnumbered by 3 guys. Could be with “us guys” so over-represented in the audio format, the print domain overcompensates for the imbalance.

??? huh??? That last scene with the hats is a flash back showing how he became the mad hatter, I dont think we know where Jefferson showed up when he teleported out of SB….
When we last left Jefferson in FTL, he was beheaded and stuck in Wonderland. Before that he was living in poverty with his daughter and paying a visit to the EQ with his magical hat. I don’t see how his sitting in that sea of hats fits into the FTL timeline. So ???huh??? for me too ๐
the wizParticipantIt was obvious that Jefferson’s escape through the hat was cursed. He ended up in a sea of hats in a place that looks like an abandoned church sanctuary. I wonder if that location is merely a few blocks away in SB. If so, he won’t return through the hat. He’ll realize where he is and walk out the door and go back to his big house. Meanwhile the hat will continue to function magically if Emma believes in it and she will be able to use it to her advantage in breaking the curse.
the wizParticipantMy favorite theory has August with no backstory in FTL yet. He was born after the curse was broken, like Henry. He has come to SB to help Emma and Henry break the curse since he knows it has already happened in FTL. I suspect that “Alice in Wonderland” happened before the curse and “Through the Looking Glass” occurs after the curse was broken. Thus August can be The White Knight from Through the Looking Glass — that has not happened yet in FTL. He may also be capable of traveling back and forth between FTL and SB with ease.

Gepetto wanted to save his son, Pinocchio, from the curse, but only one person could go through the wardrobe, and that person was Emma. So, Pinn was somehow changed into the storybook. then, the 7-year-old boy who found Emma (I’m going to say this was August) found the book with her. He kept the book, and had previously been to SB, before we saw him a few weeks ago. This must have happened a few years ago in the show. He found a way to get the book to MM, knowing she’d give it to Henry, thus beginning the mission of helping Emma believe.Nice! It would be so cool if there was a scene before the end of Season One where August runs across Mary Margaret and then two starting talking like they have known each other for years ๐
the wizParticipantThe way Jefferson remembers is part of his particular aspect of the curse. It’s not an exception to the “only thing that can remember” in my opinion. In the Hat Trick episode, Jefferson said:
Itโs hard enough to live in a land where you donโt belong, but knowing it? Holding conflicting realities in your head? It will drive you mad.
