I remember posting on here about a month ago if we would see Rumpel’s first wife AND the fact that Bae may not even be his biological son. /flex haha
As for his wife, I think the leaked script from Skin Deep where Rumple says that “not even my own wife looked at me that way” says a lot about how his marriage with her was. Obviously she didn’t love him, and Belle IS Rumpel’s TRUE LOVE.
I’m curious as to who is HIS wife and if we have been introduced by her….. it’s curious because if he already knows this (has read the script) and there hasn’t been any new female casting.. I’m led to believe that it may be someone we already know… ALSO…. who would actually be alive for that long to be alive for when the curse struck. Rumpel was alive because of the dark curse, but what about his wife? Heck, how is Hook still alive (neverland?)

I can see Rumpel asking Belle what actually “happened” after she left his castle because he couldn’t find her anywhere.
True, they did a pretty quick cut scene of him crying over her, but who knows, perhaps he was actually looking for her before Regina broke the news, and it was enough to make him believe with him not being able to find her.
Like everyone else, I’m pretty anxious to see what happens between Rumpel/Belle/Regina/Moe.

Yea, the whole thing with Snow White not remembering she loved Charming in 01.16 and true love’s kiss not working almost frightens me, like, if Rumpel goes back to his old ways and Belle falls out of love with him, making it so she can’t break his curse anymore. 🙁
That’s why I hope you can only have one “true” romantic love. The way Regina talks about how she can never love again because Daniel died makes me believe that you can’t have another “true” love.
I also wonder if Henry has always been a part of the equation and if that will have any repercussions when it comes to the final battle?
As much as I love Rumpel, I think if this actually happened to his wife that it would make for a better love story between him and Belle.
It would show the viewers how hard it was to accept Belle’s love because of everything that had happened to him.
Haha, I’m the one that posted this in the Desperate Souls tag.
At this point of time, I’m not quite sure if Rumpel is Bae’s biological father, I mean, the original story of Rumpelstilskin has him asking for people’s first borns. Not that that makes Rumpel any less of a father because I think we can all agree that he truly loves Bae.
I actual think that Bae might be a bastard child of an affair that Rumpel’s wife had with another man while he was away. Rumpel never really denies the fact that Bae is a bastard’s child, and I really don’t see Rumpel having any type of romantic relationship before marriage, so I think that excludes him. I also think that Rumpel had an arranged marriage to his wife and never truly loved her, making Belle his true love.
I love Emma’s character, in fact, she is my favorite character in the series.
I think what really won me over was in 1.08 Desperate Souls where she does the right thing by stating that Gold was the one that set the fire, despite how the town and Henry would look at her.
I love how she is a complicated character with many flaws, but still wants to do the “right” thing for her son, to show Henry that good can win sometimes.
I can’t wait to see the reunion with her and her family now that the curse is broken, I mean, she can’t really blame her parents for transporting her into another world…..
I also think that the Blue Fairy is up to NO good…
Between separating all the people that you’ve mentioned, not telling Bae about True Love’s kiss, and lying to Prince Charming and Snow White about the wardrobe, well, I personally don’t trust her!
She’s suppose to be a “good” fairy, and she’s portrayed as a nun…. yet she withholds important information like the wardrobe and true love’s kiss.
I don’t know, as people have mentioned it might be because getting rid of “dark” magic is the “right” thing to do, but at the end of the day it’s going back to the original question of “do the ends justify the means?”

The things that happen to you is what makes you who you are. A man that takes on, protects and loves the child of another man, is a REAL MAN. I feel that regardless of who fathered Bae, Rumple is his father in every sense of the word.
The story will unravel in time. I think it will be an interesting story to follow.

Trust me, I believe that Rumpel is as much as a father to Bae as any father, but I mean’t biologically. 🙂
This might sound selfish for Rumpel’s character, but I kind of wish that Rumpel didn’t love his first wife because I feel like it would somewhat diminish the love he has for Belle. Like, he wouldn’t be with her if his first wife never ran away.
