That could be an excellent analogy! Regina and Cora stole hearts to have control; and the same could be for Peter, who by taking shadows could control the boys!
We know magic works differently in different lands, so absolutely. Maybe the heart trick is really just localized to FTL.
Perhaps a shadow is what is needed to revive the dead?
ETA: In that maybe that’s why Frankenstein’s experiment in LWC didn’t work.

ParticipantMaybe Maleficent is the way the dagger found its way to FTL. Maybe she cursed the mermaids and stole the dagger from them after they stole it from Tink. Hence Ariel could come into play here. Maybe Maleficent is also Ursula? She wanted the dagger, so she tricked Ariel into giving her the dagger and she cursed those “poor unfortunate souls”.

ParticipantAnd I see now that a lot of you are thinking in the direction I am. After I posted, I went back and read the other threads and some of these ideas have popped up there too. Shame on me for taking so long to write it, LOL.
Those theories don’t necessarily ALL go together, it could be some, all or none of them as I know 4 and 5 kinda contradict each other a little. I think Peter is still alive and is Felix, his shadow is Pan.

ParticipantNever considered Tink as being bad. Could be. Maybe Tink created the Dark One’s curse and was banished to Neverland and she cast it on Peter Pan , hence why Blue Fairy knows the Dark One’s powers do not belong in FTL. OR maybe Tink is really Nova. We know that their love affair made Dreamy become Grumpy. Not sure how the timing works on her being Nova. But I believe the shadow is akin to the dagger in FTL. Whoever controls the shadow controls the DO. In this case, I think Tink is controlling the “Pan.” I don’t think there is an actual “Peter Pan” anymore, just “Pan.”

Yeah, totally not expecting PP = HO. That was crazy! And I definitely got the impression that Rumple knew about the shadow. But did he always know who they were after?
I think Rumple (wrongly) assumed that Home Office was after HIM as the Dark One. I agree with (can’t remember whose!)’s theory that PP is the original Dark One or some version of it.

Then there’s also the question of our own bias about what we perceive in the first place. So if someone simply types out something trying to be factual (such as, Neal left Emma and she went to jail for his crime or Hook shot Belle and she lost all her memories) fans of that character might start to feel the character is being maligned in some way, even if no judgement is really being implied there.
Yes. The best example of this in ONCE is likely “Neal left Emma because he wanted to avoid Rumple”, which is total fan interpretation that has no basis on what is presented to us both in the show and in Adam and Eddy’s comments about Neal’s motivations. 🙄
Exactly. Neal left Emma because August told him to. August told him that he was standing in the way of Emma fulfilling her destiny. Not saying it makes him leaving her right, but it IS a reason. Besides, had Neal known about Henry, I highly doubt he would have left. It’s bittersweet irony that Emma was pregnant. But it all comes down to we wouldn’t have a show had Neal and Emma ran off to Tallahassee together and had their happily ever after.

What I want to know, though, since we have an idea that Neal is most likely still alive is how are they going to find him. As far as Emma and everyone else is concerned, he’s dead. The show cant just do that after the epic portal scene (saw that somewhere and love calling it that). Maybe that will be a part of the cliff hanger is them finding out Neal is alive.
That’s a really good question. Before last night’s episode some of us speculated that there would have to be some sort of sign that Neal was still alive somewhere, but there wasn’t. Emma and co really believe him to be dead.
I don’t know if they believe he’s dead persay. Emma said he’s “gone”. Although I do believe they at least think it’s possible for him to be dead, I think there’s still hope he isn’t.
I guess that IS blood all over MRJ's hands in the spoiler pics on the beach with MAP. Seeing as how he was shot and all before going through the portal to what I think is FTL or some shadow land where he finds Mulan and Aurora searching for Phillip's soul. Netherworld perhaps?

ParticipantI’m new to this theory game for Once, but here’s my stab at it. I think Hook is going to flip back once he finds out what happened to Bae. I think he will help Emma and the Charmings get to NL/FTL/wherever Bae went to redeem himself. I mean, Hook is the reason Tamara and Greg got their hands on the trigger in the first place, even though he didn’t know about it. And we could clearly see during Regina’s torture that Hook wasn’t down with destroying SB. He has allied himself with people who want to destroy SB (Cora, Tamara/Greg, Regina) but his endgame has always been to “skin the crocodile.” Maybe this will be his redemption? I dunno.
1. Does Hook know that Neal is Bae? If he does, does he know Henry is Nealfire’s son? I think the answer right now to both of these is “no” unless my fuzzy head (3 sick babies and now I’m catching it) is betraying me here. I think he has yet to find out, although I am fairly certain he will find out in the finale.
This could go one of three ways:
A. Hook sees this is his perfect opportunity to completely destroy Rumple and he goes after Henry too.
B. Hook goes to Bae’s rescue. I’m leaning towards this one because there are spoiler pictures of the Charmings/Emma/Rumple onboard the Jolly Roger. I think there is a falling out between Bae and Hook over something. But I think Hook will protect young Bae in NL because he is all that is left of Milah and he does it in Milah’s memory. It doesn’t mean the happiness will last forever, but I do think Bae will be happy with a “normal”-ish father-figure for a while until he finds out that Hook is hellbent on destroying his father. Perhaps Bae will find out the truth about Rumple killing Milah and realize that Hook means to kill Rumple.
C. Hook doesn’t play a pivotal role in the new adventure and the Jolly Roger is simply stolen from him by the Charmings/Emma/Rumple to find Henry after Tamara/Greg go through the portal with him (presumably to NL).We know there were 3 beans. Tamara used 1 to get rid of Nealfire. Tamara and Greg use 1 to take Henry to FTL/NL/Unknown Land. Where is the 3rd bean going to be used? I am guessing by Hook to steer the Jolly Roger to NL. So that’s all 3 beans being used.
As far as SwanFire, I do think it’s the endgame, but it might be a LONG time before we see a reunion. Maybe Season 3 finale even. However, above is my theory on Hook’s role in Emma’s life.
