I guess my only comment would be that in the Disney story, Hook was always overcome and beat by Peter Pan, but he never gave up scheming and coming after him. If you consider that, he is actually playing that character quite well, only I don’t think he is a codfish.
I think the point is that there is higher ground the writers could be reaching for, and they’re not. Yeah, a character’s story is what it is, but I think they’re wasting a chance to make his story (and the character) meaningful and socially productive.
[adrotate group="5"]thebeeParticipantDaniel you surprise me. I got on to some other people on the board for bullying a poster. How is what you did any different? You eliminated everything abourt Colin O’Donoghue. Why did you do that?

And Bee, you thought this board was dead. Problem solved. Bring Hook up, stand back, and watch the fur fly.
Yeah, thanks Once! 😆
thebeeParticipantEver since Hook came on the scene, I’ve been in anticipation for a love story. That’s what I want. I want my love story!!!!
thebeeParticipantOk. Thanks for answering my question, everybody.
I agree. Robin Hood would be awesome!

They didn’t offer it to a show veteran because Jaime Dornan was playing Graham. That would confuse the audience if suddenly he’s a new character that has no ties to the Huntsman or Graham. It wouldn’t make any sense. At all.
So you think people would have noticed the difference?

so you want Jamie to be The Huntsman and Hook?
No, not the character. Just the actor. Jaime’s a really good actor, and I can see him doing great in either role. I’m just saying I thought it would have been nice if they’d casted him instead of Colin O’Donoghue since fans were so mad over Graham. Hook wouldn’t be Graham, but Jaime would still be there.
Of course the point is moot now since there’s somebody else in that role (for now), but I’m just wondering why they offered it to somebody new instead of a show veteran.
If Colin ever has to leave the show, Jaime Dornan would do every bit as good a job as Hook (if not better).

thebeeParticipantOr maybe in the future, a different kind of Captain could be a candidate for that position…. 😉

SwanHook wouldn’t that be awesome! I would love him with Emma. 😀
Swanning-Off 😆 😆 😆 “ZOMG!!!!! Iz Hook dedz?!?!?!?!” That was me until I realized the same thing that SwanHook has mentioned and what you said. It is all about the perspective. But I was fine after I found out that Peter Pan is one of the creators favorite story tales, so I can’t see them getting rid of one of their favorite characters. 😀
I don’t think the question is about whether Hook is ok. I think Toothfairy was asking about the actor.

On Colin’s fan page someone asked how his leg was doing as well today, so maybe he got hurt?
Do you have a link to that?
