I feel like Zelena talks a big talk about her magic but other then poof-ing she doesn’t really use it that much.

I was a HUGE RumBelle shipper. I was certain I was going to go down with that ship, but, his consistent lying and promises to get “better” and not lie/use magic just reminded me too much of the cycle of abuse. I feel like her being strong in the past few seasons (pushing him over the town line and not getting back together with him in this episode) is awesome and as painful as it is to see these two that I loved SOOOOO much break up, I think it would be worse to see the continuation of an abusive relationship.

Now, it’s not abusive in that he hits her or steals her money or verbally assaults her or anything like that, but he is abusing her trust, kindness and heart. The cycle goes like this: Tension Builds (something doesn’t add up to Belle), Incident (She finds out he used magic, went back on his word, lied etc), Reconciliation (He promises not to do it again), Calm (All is well and they are working at the Pawn Shoppe), Tension Builds etc.

I suppose you could say this is all for story, but, just like some people were upset that Hook and Emma were going to move in together without getting married I’m upset that for a minute there I felt like OUAT was romanticizing an abusive relationship. Anyway, I hope he can change and they can get back together but in the meantime I’m so happy Belle was strong enough to walk away.
