Black Fairy….they work for the Black Fairy. It had been the Black Fairy who had told them all of the stories that they wrote, of course she told them her version of all of the tales. And now they’re returning to find a way to either resurrect or free her.
Black Fairy…man in black…like seriously are they even trying to be original here? And yet, I still want it so bad.
I thought Hugo Strange was intriguing. B.D. Wong was an interesting casting, but I think it might actually work. It’s basically his SVU role, but more screen time and crazier haha. Mr Freeze was fine. I agree the special affects for everything were generally solid. The Riddler has always been my favorite batman villain, so Nygma has been my favorite character from the start, and I think that actor has done very well with the role so far. I also read that Clayface would be coming this season so I’m really looking forward to that. But overall, I thought it was solid mid-season premiere. This season has definitely corrected some of the mistakes in season 1.
This is very intriguing, and dare I say, a very LOST direction to go in. I would love to see their spin on the Lion King. But I agree, Brothers Grimm seems more likely. And I think this all but confirms that we will get at least an abbreviated season 6 for the final season.
Yeah, when Jennifer says things like this you know she doesn’t really like Emma and Hook together, in my opinion. She just doesn’t know what to say about it and there is no in depth analysis to have. She has to say they are in love with each other, but she knows it doesn’t really make sense, but she can’t say that either.
I think she commented on it just fine. It’s hard, they work at it, it’s not easy. Like when couples go to therapy to fix things. They are just constantly fixing things haha. She’s saying it’s real because it isn’t easy, because it’s never easy. Whether you agree with it or not, that is what she’s saying. It’s not like she froze and said no comment…. Just trolling trying to find instances where the actors don’t even believe in what the show is telling us. There are much better examples of this than this in my opinion. This seemed fine to me.
Matt and I have been talking about this quite a bit as well. We’re not sure what it means. We both still think that we’re getting a season 6 but that it is being made clear that it’s the final seasons and I’m starting to wonder it’s not going to be an abbreviated one. With that said the lack of 100th episode promotion is *strange.*
I would be happy with an abbreviated one honestly. Keep it shorter, concise. And finish it strong.
This makes me happy. And although it is the final episode of the season, it is the same season they were introduced. So as long as we get some closure, this is a win for me.
I love how Robbie was able to bring out this vulnerability in Bobby when they were on the show together like no other character (except, perhaps, Neal/Bae, but he never abused the privilege the way Pan did, lol.) Like, you really felt in the scenes they had together–I’ve rewatched pretty much all of them–that Pan knew EXACTLY how to push his son’s buttons like no one else. And that Rumple was intimidated by him/he got in his head like no one else. I hope they have a few scenes together in this arc (Pan strong-arming his son into a team-up to get him out of the Underworld is all I hope and dream for from Bae-less Once.)
I always thought Robbie was surprisingly going toe-to-toe with Bobbie on the screen, which made their scenes so great.
I agree. I don’t think that’s her. Hard to tell who it is though. It doesn’t sound like any of them.
Well, it hasn’t been that long since the season aired, but NO. This arc was by far the worst OUAT arc thus far. It was sloppy, illogical, ruined a lot of characters and mythology. The ending was painful (and not a good painful) because it didn’t seem to jive with anything set up in the beginning and several of the story lines were never resolved! OUAT has fallen into a lot of cliche writing and has begun self-plagerizing: killing the PoC, rape and wonky consent storylines, pointless fluff characters (Merida), and too much focus on ships made 5A a really bad experience.
Agree on all of this.
Favorite Episode: Tie between The Dark Swan, Dreamcatcher, Nimue, and Birth.
Favorite New Character: Merlin as well. However I will say that I enjoyed Arthur being rather evil more than most did.
Favorite Moment: When Emma rejects Nimue and doesn’t kill Merlin.
Worst half of a season for OUAT by far. Which is too bad because after the first three episodes, I was thinking it was the best since 3a. But then they blew it. Next half season can’t get any worse right?
