ONCE - Once Upon a Time podcast
Reviews, theories, and talk about ABC's Once Upon a Time TV show
I swear to heaven…if Belle is pregnant and they use her child as a means to have Rumple *finally* turn over a new leaf and be a good man thereby making Neal *not enough* there won’t be enough tables in the world for me to flip.
But I think it is entirely possibly to have Rumple feel remorse for not being there for Baelfire, so when he has this new baby with Belle, he wants to do it right this time, and be a better father. That would make a ton of sense, and would still honor his love for Baelfire, and possibly redeem him as a character. I wonder sometimes if you just can’t let go of Baelfire dying on the show…..Neil is gone. Rumple needs to move on, and if another child reminds him of what he did to his first son, and helps him become a better father and person now, I think that’s a realistic way to end his arc.

*watches new Sneak Peek* guys, I’m so glad Emma’s entire hero journey as been reduced to be all about her male love interest. I mean, it’s great. This season wasn’t really about Emma at all, not her her individual self as she stands on her own, but really it’s about her boyfriend’s man pain and how Emma’s has a magical *mumbles vulgar things* that will cure him of his darkness. It’s so great. (this message is brought to you by SARCASM) (keep telling yourself that you write Strong Woman, boys!) (Good morning)
You can be a strong woman and still care about whether or not you lose the man you love. Putting his life first over yours doesn’t mean she’s weak. I think it’s a little bit of an overreaction. I mean sure, it is slightly annoying that the end of this arc is starting to become more about Hook than Emma, but I think her character is still as strongly written as ever.
