ParticipantIt’s alright, second proposal will be better, and he won’t be drunk this time.
That’s what I’m hoping for as well. Emma is going to think that Hook left her. She is going to be devastated. And then Hook is going to come back and save the day somehow (Gideon seems to think that’s a possibility), and save her life and then propose properly and tell Charming himself after he breaks the Snowing curse. The only reason for the writers to squander this moment for him to come clean himself and own up to it is because they are planning a much bigger moment for Hook. Emma saved him in the UW and now he’s going to save the Savior. That’s my prediction and the reason why Hook hasn’t had his “moment” yet. It’s coming…

ParticipantYeah if it’s simply bc Hook can break something with TLK than he would need to send Henry out of town too. Maybe he will! Who knows. But based on this so far, my guess is that Hook is important to Emma’s survival in a different way. TLK seems too obvious and again, Gideon would have to get Henry out as well.

ParticipantOverall: 6/10….very mixed on this one.
Liked:
– Regina hating herself and taking some of her light and putting it into EQ’s heart. And then taking some of EQ’s darkness and putting it into her own heart. Regina acted her butt off in this episode.
– Emma not freaking out over Hook killing Charming’s dad. But being mad that he didn’t tell her. And then giving the ring back. Let’s start over with this. Let’s do it right. Give her the ring when she doesn’t expect it and perhaps do it not drunk. Great, thanks.
– Snow talking to Hook on the docks. We never get these two together in a scene just by themselves. It was nice.
Mixed:
– Captain Nemo is all of a sudden an important part of Hook’s life. And they couldn’t get Liam back on the show clearly and that was what was missing here. It should have been Liam giving him the advice.
– The flashback. I love the final reveal that the EQ hates herself the most. But a random door in the forest leading to cupid’s arrow which then can be manipulated to find the person you hate most instead of the person you love the most? Ehh. And the whole first part of the flashback was so boring bc we have seen EQ look for Snow and terrorizing villages a bazillion times.
– Uhh when is Charming going to find out? Is he going to be the last one to know that Hook killed his dad? Is it possible that he just never finds out and Emma and Hook think it’s best that he doesn’t know? That he doesn’t need to know? That would suck. I just don’t get what the writers are saving that scene for. Especially now that Emma knows.
Disliked:
– The damn Sheers of Destiny and being able to cut the EQ from Regina for good. Thank God I liked how the rest of the scene played out bc this was annoying. She shouldn’t have been able to do that.
– How did she know that was Charming’s dad in the dreamcatcher?
– Tinkerbell…..useless.
– EQ getting a fresh start. Don’t get me wrong, I liked that. I really did. What I didn’t like was that they sent her to the Wish Realm where everyone hates her. How on Earth is that a fresh start? And how did nobody freak out when they saw her in the tavern or on the streets? Regina goes to the Wish Realm and practically gets killed for looking like the EQ but EQ goes back and nobody notices? It’s like the writers forgot about that. Also, they let her leave without fixing the Snowing curse. I know Regina said EQ told her all she knew about how to potentially break it but come on…..My biggest issue is that there is still a barrier on the town line that the EQ put up. And now they let her leave and the barrier is still up!!!!! Idiots.

ParticipantUhh talk about confusing…..well given what Rumple’s Girl laid out, is there still a timeline error? If the First Ogres War lasted a while, then there should be no issues right?
thedarkonedearie
ParticipantSo kind of like the Cold War? So if that’s the case, the timeline wasn’t affected.

ParticipantI have a feeling I’m not going to like this episode. EQ and Regina shouldn’t even be fighting. It’s pointless. They will both die if one dies. The EQ knows that. Why would she seek Regina out to end it. The flashback sounds nauseating and super vague and retconnish. And the fact Hook hasn’t gone to Charming yet is alarming.
thedarkonedearie
ParticipantI’m so confused. So the EQ is still around in the penultimate?

ParticipantThat is not calling you out, that is point it out something, in fact i could have said something to anyone on this thread and in fact i even say that to my friends and even sometimes happen to me, in fact my friends already said that to me, regarding somethings, maybe i forgot to add the world “understand”, but that is something that we human beings do, when we love something or someone we dont see or refuse to see the flaws on the things or persons we love, that is one of the traits of loving something, in fact, there is a wording here in my country that say” Eyes that dont see, heart that doesn`t suffer”, that is something everyone does, so like i said is not calling you out, was pointing a human characteristic.
Saying it is difficult for me to accept the show’s flaws is not only an assumption, but a criticism…..and a snide remark. Maybe you can pull that with someone who didn’t study English in college but I could detect your tone a mile away. If I have never said that I have trouble accepting a show’s flaws, then when you say something like, “I know you find it difficult accepting a show’s flaws, but……blah blah,” it is not genuine. It’s sarcasm because you are basically making fun of me for NOT being able to recognize the show’s flaws or refusing to do so bc I love it so much.
No, Bae was not even born when Rumple served at the Second Ogre War, after he broke his leg he returned home Bae was just born, then 14 years have passed until now, so if this episode is set on the First Ogre war, how is that Rumple was already DO and Bae is already 14 years, if he was not even born at the 1st OW? So this show that was a mistake and proves the writers have no knowledge of their own timeline and is their job to know this, to have a set timeline.
I was under the impression that this was the second Ogres War in this episode. The first was when he deserted and broke his leg when Bae was an infant. The second is when he was the DO and killed all the Ogres. Why are you assuming the war we saw this episode was the first Ogres War and not the second. If it was the first, then it makes literally zero sense and you are right. But I think it’s supposed to be the second which would make the timeline fine. Bae should look younger but other than that, it should be fine.
thedarkonedearie
ParticipantBae was just a baby if not a newborn when Rump broke his leg. I think at the end of the episode is when they name him so he must not have been that old. No where close to 14. It’s a definitely a continuity error.
So maybe not necessarily a timeline error but at the very least, a miscast error. Should have been someone that looked a little younger. But for all we know, the writers may want us to think he’s actually younger than the actor’s age suggests. After all, that’s what they have been doing with Henry right? lols.

ParticipantAbout the threads, there are individual character threads or at least there were in the past, one for each important characters, and i believe there is one for baelfire or Neal, or maybe is Nealfire, there is even one i think for Rumple and Bae relation, if i`m not mistaken, of course all depends if they they still exist, since people stopped using them long time ago, once people used to talk about the characters in their own threads during hiatus, but after, people left and others simply get tired of posting stuff.
I only responded bc someone in this thread said Neal was OOC. So I responded and said I didn’t think he was and I was generally interested and confused why people thought he was. So it’s not like this has only been about specifically the SF ship. It’s been about specific characters, Neal, and Emma, sometimes separately, like in this case. So everything I have said has been relevant to this thread.
Also, i was giving my opinion, just like you were giving your, i didn´t call you out
Also, @darkonederie, i get that you love the show and so is difficult for you to admit the show flaws
That’s not calling me out? That’s the definition of passive aggression.
The timeline of the show, how is that Rumple served in the 2nd OW as a younger self and was in the 1st OW with Bae, as a 14 year old. And you can see all Rumple and bae epis/flashbacks in S1 and S2.
Was Bae supposed to be 14 in the first Ogre War when Rumple fled and broke his leg? I thought Bae was younger and in this episode for the second Ogre War when Rumple is the DO and kills all the Ogres, Bae was a little older. Correct me if I’m wrong. And I’ve seen all of the flashbacks from the first couple seasons. I was asking the thread if anyone could remember a specific flashback where Bae was younger than in this flashback from this episode where he was vehemently against magic. This episode made it seem like the flashbacks were shortly after Rumple became the DO and I don’t recall Bae being super against magic until Rumple started abusing it. So if that’s the case, the timeline was not affected. It’s why I was asking.
“more negativity than the Trump campaign” is a bit far. I’ve tried my best over six years. This entire fandom is a wasteland.
True. Nothing is as negative as that.
