I agree.  Because they didn’t try true love’s kiss right away, it would be such a cop out if that’s what broke the curse now.

Has Emma ever even said she loves them? I don’t think she has even though she does.

Season 5, episode 11 (Swan Song), Snow says that she loves Emma.  Emma responds that she loves her too.

Put me in the camp of this episode being Zelena’s send off and her happy ending.  It also wouldn’t surprise me if the Olympian Crystal made a comeback.  Her happy ending should be with Hades ruling Oz as a GOOD power couple.  They already said that Hades could have been wrong about the crystal in regards to Robin being obliterated.  Maybe Hades isn’t obliterated and is actually in the UW.  Maybe Zelena goes back to the UW to be with him.

I am beyond excited for this.  Good for them for trying to pull this off.  And all original songs too.  I’m nervous but extremely excited for this.

“My mom is Emma and my dad is Neal. He is also called Baelfire; he originally came from the Enchanted Forest but left when his dad–my grandpa, Rumplestiltskin–became the Dark One. Grandpa did this after his wife, my grandma Milah, left him to run off with the pirate, Captain Hook. He’s dating my mom now. Hook, my kinda sorta step-grandfather, not my grandpa, Rumplestiltskin. Though both are equally weird and incestuous. Fun fact! My kinda sorta step-grandfather Hook sold my father Baelfire to Peter Pan in Neverland. Turns out…Peter Pan? Totally my great grandfather. Isn’t that neat? Peter Pan was once called Malcolm and he had some sort of relationship with the Black Fairy. She’s my great grandmother. I’m part fairy! My grandpa Rumple got re married to a nice girl named Belle; they have a new son. His name is Gideon and he’s my…uncle? Step uncle? Now on the other side of my family tree, my mom’s dad is David. He was a farmer. He had a twin but the twin got sold by my Great Grandma Ruth and my other (non step) great grandfather. I don’t know his name. He died in a drunk wagon accident. The twin, my great uncle, was named James. He was raised by King George who is sort of my great grandfather? Who knows, really. Continuing on….my mom’s mom is Snow White. She was born to my other great grandparents Leo and Ava. Ava died when grandma Snow was little and Great Grandpa married Regina. Here’s another really super duper fun fact! Regina’s mom Cora, my non-biological grandma and step Great Great Grandma (more on that in a second!) almost married my Great-Great Grandpa Leo! They like totally made out and stuff. Leo didn’t like her that much in the end and she ended up marrying Henry who is both my grandpa and my step great great grandpa! I’m named after him. Neat, right? Oh. I almost forgot. My step great grandma, Regina? She’s my other mom!”

This is too amazing to even adequately respond to.

Pretty sure I did some sort of jump-up-and-down screamy thing. Basically the last bits of 3B are going to be @thedarkonedearie and I losing our minds every Monday.

Oh man I can’t even……….. I have not been this pumped for the back half of a season in a long time.

And can I just say I loved this midseason finale too.  Jerome is just amazing and the actor is amazing.  Also, big shout out to David Mazouz.  I thought he was so good in this episode.  Loved the little fight between Jerome and him in the house of mirrors.  Loved the clown makeup on Bruce.  Loved everything at the circus basically.  The writers really laid it on thick with the differences between Jerome and Bruce and how they view the world and their view on killing.

Also glad Jerome wasn’t killed.  They have to bring him back right?  I’m sure they will when they are ready.  I still really can’t get invested in The Court of Owls but whatever.  The rest of this episode I loved.  And letting Ed go full Riddler in the back half, and giving him his suit…….oh man I am giddy just thinking about it.

There’s no way Penguin is dead right?  They like, can’t do that right bc of canon?  So not sure how they will bring him back, but nonetheless, it was a good jumping off point for Ed’s character to now go full evil mode.

Also I love how whenever someone needs to get murdered in cold blood they go to the river haha.

Side note, there were some pretty funny lines that I’m sure @RumplesGirl will pick out.  Lines from Jerome, Barbara, Butch, etc that really play into Gotham’s style (dark and creepy but not taking itself too seriously).  That’s when Gotham is at its best.

    Now the wait til April….

Well now the conversation is slipping into the other problem the show has……and that’s the ridiculous family tree.  It was fun and cute at first, but if everyone is related somehow, it presents challenges when they need characters to have civilized conversations.  They forget the past just to get through the conversation A&E need to build the current storyline.  Still, doesn’t mean they didn’t do a better job this year than past years in regards to character moments and slowing down the plot a bit.  There are still problems, but at least it wasn’t all of them going to a new realm, having a goal of taking down the bad guy of that realm, taking them down, and returning.

With that argument, means that Emma dying a hero to give everyone their happy endings, is also ok. The show already showed several times that in death you can get your happy ending, what guarantees you that if Emma dies, she won`t move on to a better place, because she did what she was born to do, be a savior. And if people, going to say Hook and Henry and snowing wont get their happy ending, the same applies to neal, Henry also lost his father( the real one), Rumple lost his son, so if saying that Emma dying means not all characters get their happy ending, means in this case no matter how the show ends, Henry and Rumple at least already dont have their happy ending, becaus ethey lost a father and son. The thing is romantic loves you can get others, family you only get one. The same also applies to Robin, what happy ending will get Roland without both parents, or the new baby without her father. The argument of people die can´t be use to some characters and not others.

Right, but I’m not talking about happy endings.  Not everyone can get a happy ending.  There are villains who kill people and take those happy endings away.  It doesn’t always work out.  But that’s different than the idea of hope.  As Snow says, believing in just the possibility of hope is a very powerful thing.  It’s powerful because we all know not everyone gets a happy ending, but if you have hope, it makes the time you still have living in this world worth living.

Why is it that the good guys die without getting their happy ending, but bad people who have committed murder or rape (like Regina, Zelena, Rumple and Hook) gets to have their happy ending? Is it because they really deserve one or is it because they are fan favorites who have a very loud fanbase?

And again, getting a happy ending is different from hope.   Not everyone can get a happy ending.  That’s not how the world works.  No one would die on the show if that was the case.  But just because some people die does not mean the show is not still about hope.  The idea of hope no matter what awful things present themselves, including death, is something I believe they have kept consistent.  In fact, having terrible deaths to beloved characters only further emphasizes why having hope is so important for the characters that are still around.  And as far as people like Zelena, and Rumple, and Hook getting happy endings…well yeah sure they are fan favorites and important to the show so of course they will likely get them.  But I think the show, as much as it is about hope, it’s also about redemption and forgiveness.  Some characters don’t get that opportunity.  But the characters you listed might.  THESE characters have HOPE that they can turn their life around and get the ending they deserve.  If anything, the show showed that you need to be a good person and have hope in order to potentially get that happy ending (see season 4b when the villains didn’t end up getting what they wanted).  But to me, that doesn’t send the wrong message about hope since other characters who haven’t killed anybody died and didn’t get their happy ending.  Hope is for everyone.  Someone who has been horrible in the past, like Regina, can have hope that she can have the strength to turn her life around, become close with her family and Henry, and find true love again.  That’s her happy ending and she deserves to have hope for that, no matter what happened in the past.
