ParticipantIn general, there’s clearly a very big ugly double standard in this fandom. If Hook was the one with three hours of screentime this season while everyone else was at the other levels the amount of bashing and hate flung at the writers would be consistent. But since it’s Regina, there’s not even a peep from the crowd. Do you know what that is called? It’s called, being a hypocrite.
Man do I agree with this. And I don’t even love Hook anymore. But that guy gets ridiculed more than anyone else it feels. Some of it is warranted. Much of it is an overreaction due to the nature of the character and him offending easily offended people.

ParticipantI’d also place some cookies on a Gideon/Black Fairy centric before the finale.
We better get this. I don’t want another villain like Hades where we don’t get one.

ParticipantThat’s so cool.

ParticipantSome fun news for @thedarkonedearie and I –episode 3×15 is titled “How the Riddler Got His Name” and is apparently heavily Ed centric. I actually clapped.
OH MY GOD YES. Although, they did something similiar to this in season 1 when they had an episode titled “Penguin’s Umbrella,” and I thought we were going to get the backstory to his umbrella with all the gadgets in it and how he came to possess it. But then we didn’t. So hopefully, this isn’t a trick and we actually get an amazing Nygma episode.

ParticipantWell that sucks. Annoying actor availability.

ParticipantI think this is the biggest missed opportunity this season. Emma batting her Savior self and all the emotional turmoil that would cause is meaty as heck while being incredibly cohesive to who Emma’s journey all along.
See I just never liked this idea. Not that I’m in love with it being Gideon at the moment either, but I did not want it to Be Emma herself under the hood. How exactly would that have worked? Would it be figurative? Like it’s just a figment of Emma’s imagination? Like how could she be battling herself? I don’t get it. The only thing would be if she took some of Hyde’s serum and she was battling her dark self but we already say Dark Swan and she wasn’t very dark at all. She already proved that she could handle the darkness pretty well. She overcame it, especially in the episode, Nimue. So even then, I wouldn’t have liked it. In the first scene this season with Jafar and Aladdin, I believe Jafar said that all Saviors have an enemy, or a villain, so I was always expecting it to be an actual person under the hood. And then the writers drove that point home again when Emma needed Regina to be the EQ in order for her to realize she was in fact the Savior. She needed an enemy to trigger her Saviorhood. Also something about Emma battling herself in the dream just seems so incredibly cheesy to me. So while I don’t like that her biggest threat under the hood is someone we just met, who we no very little about, I am glad it is not Emma herself.

ParticipantJafar did turn someone into a snake (staff) so…interesting.
Yeah the snake could represent a couple things here. One is that Charming called her a snake earlier in the episode. And the other is the fact that Jafar turned someone into a snake and molded them to be his staff and in the Aladdin movie, Jafar turns into a snake.

ParticipantMy favorite since season 3A….
1) What was your favorite episode of S6A? Runner up?
This goes to Heartless. Runner up: Changelings and Strange Case.
2) What was your least favorite episode of S6A? Runner up?
Wish You Were Here. Runner up: Street Rats
3) We had a lot of new characters crop up this year. Who was your favorite and who was your least favorite?
Favorite: Hyde and Black Fairy. Least Favorite: Jekyll and Gideon
4) What storyline fascinated you the most? And which one frustrated you the most?
Fascinated: Someone murdered charming’s dad. Snowing’s new curse. Oh, and the Savior mythology. Oh and black fairy. And the person under the hood. Least fascinated: This AU world. No interest in things that aren’t actually real.
5) What do you hope to see more of in S6B?
Two words: Black Fairy. And Agrabah and Jafar. Need to see answers to charming’s dad, what’s up with Jafar and Agrabah, more Savior mythology, a resolution to Emma’s death sentence.
6) Final grade and thoughts on S6A?
Final Grade: B+. This is based on the intriguing storylines and the overall feeling of a season 1 vibe that I think they definitely accomplished. For the first time, I’m intrigued with all the open storylines and I hope they deliver on all the answers in the back half.

ParticipantNo idea….but I forgot Charming called her a snake….so that can’t be a coincidence.
thedarkonedearie
ParticipantYes, it looked like there was some sparkly stuff in his magic…similar to that of a fairy. Also, could he have learned it from Jafar too? I mean, who turns somebody into a snake? Perhaps he just wanted to see how very snake-like she can be!
