So what you are saying is that two wrongs make a right? They are both to blame for the inconsistencies. We must be seeing this from a completely different angles because I see it as Belle being inconsistent and Rumple reacting to those  inconsistencies.  Still does  not make it right just means they are both to blame. Belle is not just an innocent victim in all this she is an active member of the abuse.

Yes we must be seeing it differently which is interesting.  I don’t view it as two wrongs because I view it as Belle behaving and reacting to Rumple’s inconsistencies.  So when she says he can possibly see the child, it’s usually when he’s saying something nicer or does something nicer.  And then she freaks out and says you’re a beast and you will never see our son when he locks her on a ship or puts a cuff on her and threatens to steal her baby.  To me, she’s just reacting to what Rumple is doing.  Rumple is always the aggressor and then she acts accordingly, or at least that’s how I perceive it.  Now it comes off as Belle being wishy washy and inconsistent but that’s only because Rumple can’t make up his damn mind on what he wants to be!

Put me in the camp of the magic aging dust used on one of the fairies in the last episode will be the cause of Gideon aging.  It seems oh too convenient that popped up last episode.  It didn’t need to.  It was used for canon purposes when they do it to Gideon.

Put me in the Belle camp.  We all know Rumple is abusive.  That has been well documented this season.  Has Belle been inconsistent with what she tells Rumple?  Yup, she has.  But has Rumple been inconsistent with what he’s told Belle?  Yup, he most certainly has.  So I can’t blame Belle for being inconsistent when it seems she’s only reacting to the inconsistencies of Rumple.  One day he’s nicer and wants to change, the next he can’t change but would try and be different, the next he’s locking her on a ship, the next he just doesn’t want to lose another son, the next he wants to accelerate her pregnancy and use the shears on Gideon, the next he doesn’t want to lose Belle so he doesn’t accelerate the pregnancy, the next he’s threatening to steal her child because that’s what Rumpelstiltskin does.  Anyone who says Belle is doing the abuse, in my opinion, is entirely off-base with this one.

I just popped in to say I agree with you thedarkonedearie So you’r not the only one. I love the seaon and I think that, overall, the storyline/lines work. Offcourse there are small bits and pieces that weirds me out as well, but thats to be expected.

Oh man, like Rumple and EQ making out.  No thanks…. But I’m glad someone else thinks this way.  If they don’t flush out all the threads they’ve brought in through these first 9 episodes, then yes we can complain.  But they have a whole season to address Jafar and Agrabah and how it relates to Emma as the Savior.  They have all season to put a climax to the EQ story line and get rid of her once and for all, even if that means putting her back into Regina.  They have all season to address Charming’s Dad and who murdered him.  They have all season to address Black Fairy.  They have all season to address Emma’s dream and death sentence.  Let’s just see what happens…..It’s certainly been awhile since I’ve been intrigued by this many story lines.  Usually it’s just “how do we get out of this land” or “how do we defeat insert villain here.”  But they actually have many threads going on here and until they fail to flesh them out, I cannot condemn them.

Ed in his green suit. Yeah, the crush is real.

My favorite villain coming to life.  Yes.

“Did you just fake-cough Penguin?” The entire Barbara/Ed scene was fantastic. The show did good when they made Barbara a crazy nut job.

Agreed.  When they are together in a scene it’s pretty great.

The Mad Hatter got himself a paper mache hat to go with his Arkham jumpsuit. Bless.

Also loved this.  Although the convenient truth telling via riddles was well…..convenient

sually I’m very blah on Jim and Lee but the “please don’t marry him” moment was actually quite sad/sweet/moving. There was actually some chemistry and heart there.

I too enjoyed the church scene.

Will Lee actually believe that Jim was protecting her? The knife going into the river seems like a sign we’re not done with Jim/Lee drama. That’s not exactly a good thing.

What a horrible  ending.  This drama needed to end.  Now we are going to go through more episodes of Lee thinking Gordon just murdered Mario.  Of course the knife fell in the water.  Of course Mario was behind her and fell off when he was shot.  Of course Gordon had the perfect shot at him but Lee couldn’t see what happened.  Yuck all around.

Holy anticlimactic storyline, Baby!Batman. The magic safe opens and reveals…a statue?

ever since they introduced The Court of Owls, that story has blown.  What a dumb anticlimactic end to their little quest.  And Selina’s mom?  Uhhh who the heck cares.

But ok that promo…..YESSSSSSSS.  And I will say I liked that Selina gave Bruce a kiss on the cheek before tight roping and I’m glad Alfred was the one to kill the Talon guy.  I also enjoyed seeing Bruce wield some gadgets.  But overall, really wasn’t that impressed.  I guess everything was cohesive in the sense that everything really came back to Alice’s blood but I guess I just didn’t like the story they were telling.  I hate the whole Court of Owls thing and I hate the Gordon/Lee drama.  So naturally I didn’t love the episode even though there were parts that I liked.

I agree – people seem to be more impatient than usual this season for some reason.  Why do Jasmine and Aladdin have to be front and center from the second they introduce them?  Why is Jafar being “sidelined” just because we haven’t seen any more of him yet? It could easily be the intention of Adam and Eddy that this is a slow-burner that is setting up events for later in the season.  They are juggling quite a lot of threads at the moment and not everything can take centre stage at once. Surely it feels more organic to have Aladdin and Jasmine there earlier and not just conveniently rocking up when one plotline ends to fill the gap?

This is pretty much how I feel.  Let’s not condemn them til the season is over.

She DID speed up Belle’s pregnancy and indirectly caused Blue to abscond with Gideon…

It’s true, she has created havoc among many people.  It’s not like she’s doing nothing like people are saying.

Honestly, i am still on the edge about whether or not i believe that Gideon and Morpheus are the same person. If the writers hadn’t said it explicitly, there is no way i would think it was true. Even if it is true, then Morpheus is being manipulated by someone, somehow.

Yeah like how on Earth is Gideon going to be older by the next episode?  I get they are doing the AU thing, but huh?  I’m not sure I understand how that happens unless someone magically makes it happen.  But Blue wouldn’t do that.  Belle wouldn’t do that.  Rumple certainly doesn’t want that.  Neverland makes people not age……is there a place that makes people age that Blue could have taken Gideon?  Is there a magical macguffin that happens to DO babies?  Perhaps the child is already magically gifted (we saw Zelena move a tree)  that he is able to age himself?

Yeah, but they shouldn’t spend a bunch of episodes on Jafar either. That is the problem with the show. They spend too much time on things. I think everyone has gotten sick of the Evil Queen because she has been hanging around for ten episodes doing nothing but making empty threats and killing people that don’t matter. Her cursing Snow and Charming was the most interesting thing she has done. It doesn’t help that the characters don’t react to things either. What is Charming doing about the information about his father? There is just all sorts of random things brought up and we are still waiting around for something to happen.

We have a whole season.  Let’s see if and when they play out.  It was my understanding that Charming just kept the letter and didn’t burn it.  Doesn’t mean he’s actively searching for answers right now.  Since then him and his wife have been put under a sleeping curse so it’s not exactly on the front burner.  And as you said EQ has done something.  She got her revenge on Snowing.  Now as far as everything else, she hasn’t done much.  She has tried things, but failed.  She tried to trap Emma and Regina in the mirror world, but failed.  She tried to get Henry to choose her, but failed.  She tried to get Gold on her side but ultimately failed.  She tried to get Zelena on her side, but failed.  She tried to get Hyde on her side but he died.  And correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t believe she actually has killed anyone right?  She can’t kill anyone I thought.  Magic can’t harm her but she can’t kill.  I thought that was why she used The Count to do her bidding.

Unfortunately, I think the answer won’t be as exciting.  So Belle gave birth at the nunnery right?  Not the hospital for some odd reason….or was it the hospital?  Anyway, my guess is Blue just took him somewhere else in Storybrooke.  If we are supposed to potentially see Blue again in the next episode, I doubt she went outside Storybrooke.  I reaaaaalllly hope it’s somewhere we haven’t seen before that only Blue knows about, even if it is still in Storybrooke but I really don’t trust the writers to pull that off.

Places that quickly come to mind:

    – The well.  It hasn’t been used in awhile but we know it’s magical and can be used as a portal.

    – Agrabah.  Perhaps she got the sorcerer’s wand from Zelena and went to another realm not knowing what it would be.  And it turns out it’s Agrabah.

    – The nunnery.  If Belle gave birth in the hospital, Blue could have just taken Gideon to her house.

    – The cave where they found the true love sapling.  Perhaps she takes Gideon there (we know she knows where it is bc she located it for Snowing and Regina already) and Rumple can only pass and get in if he truly loves his son and wants the best for him.

    – The caves below the clock tower.  Seems like a good place to hide out.

    – Rumple cuts them off mid flight and takes the child before they can hide.

    – Black Fairy’s residence.  Blue, knowing Rumple is after the child, and knowing Black Fairy is Rumple’s mother, may use the Black Fairy to manipulate Rumple and to protect the child.

    – The mines.  Perhaps she enlists the help of the dwarves.  Dumb but who knows.

    – Granny’s.  Bc why not?

    – The docks….grasping at straws now.  Maybe on Hook’s ship.

    – Boston or New York…someplace outside of Storybrooke.  I would say to go see the dragon but he be stuck in Mirror Land.
