Ummm yeah, she wouldn’t say one more time unless that was really the case. This is it for her.

Right? Give me something to sink my teeth into. I new version of Cinderella just doesn’t do it for me at all. Give me the big bad villain at least. Something. Anything.

thedarkonedearieParticipantHyperion Heights is the the name of the town. As someone else said, it sounds like a gated community. What town sounds like that?
thedarkonedearieParticipantVoted.
Sad to see the pilot go for me. The pilot was better than A Land Without Magic. At least, that’s how I felt.
thedarkonedearieParticipantAll of mine were safe too. Voted.
thedarkonedearieParticipantThe dark one arc would actually be about the dark one. I think Emma being the dark one was an interesting way of going about it, but Hook would not be part of it. Neal would still be there and it would be about how Neal knew what it was like to have a father as the dark one and now Henry’s mother is the dark one. That Belle knew what it was like to have a love interest as the dark one and Neal’s love interest is now the dark one. Emma would have said all the things she has ever said about the parents that abandoned her to Snow and Charming. Emma would state all of the mistrust she initially felt towards Regina at her. It would be about Emma talking to actual Rumpel about being the dark one and what he has lost from that and how his desire for power has messed up his life. It would not be Emma talking to a fake Rumpel in her head. Oh yeah, i forgot. Rumpel would no longer be the dark one, so we would see him interacting with Neal, Belle, and Henry as not the dark one and they would be talking about all that. The dark one mythology, for me, is easily the biggest like plot point mistake that was made.
Season 5 started out so strong. I agree, they really botched the dark one mythology. It could have been so cool, so incredible. Should have left Hook out of it. Should have actually made Emma evil. Loved introducing Merlin. I even liked Arthur being an antagonist. When he forced that guy to kill himself in the storybrooke jail cell….my goodness. It had so much potential. And they ruined most of it. The storybrooke part of season 5A was so bad especially. Like Emma keeping the sword in her basement. Not being able to pull it…and Merida training Rumple to be a hero to pull it……it was disgustingly awful.
thedarkonedearieParticipantRumpelstiltskin is DEFINITELY my FAVORITE character on the show.
Yeah, for me, it’s Rumple and Emma is a close second. I never did get that big fight I wanted between the two of them though. Regina came on really strong toward the end though mainly bc she was the best written character from start to finish in my opinion.
I also think Henry is a decent actor as a kid. He’s a smart kid for sure.
Not to bash on kid actors here, but I thought as a young kid, Jared Gilmore was good. He was cute, passionate, convincing, driven. And I thought in the final season, he was better, even good with some scenes with Emma and Regina. But from seasons 3-5, I thought he was really bad. Like really bad.
I also like David. David is probably my 2nd factory character on the show. He’s cool.
I also grew to really not like Snowing. David separated himself a bit in toward the end when the story of his father came out and he was all hot and bothered. I also always enjoyed his scenes with Hook. But many times, from seasons 2-5, David was so incredibly one-note and boring.
Rumple had the coolest most original backstory of anyone on the show. Like can you guys imagine them coming up with something as original as the dark one? Like, look at how important Desperate Souls was for the show. The dagger, the power, how to become the dark one. Even if Emma and Hook became one. Cora tried to become one, Arthur wanted the power to control the dark one. Rumple’s lust for it and it affecting his relationship with Belle. It shaped a huge chunk of the show. And the concept was completely original. After that great story, we got Olympian Crystals, magic swords, shears of destiny etc etc etc. Nothing that quite had the same impact as the dark one mythology. It’s a shame they kind of botched the mythology when they went a little deeper in season 5, but the original concept of it, was cool as heck. What the dark one powers did to Rumple and shaped his life alone makes him the best character for me. He was cool to look at and fun on screen. Season 1 was incredible for Rumple. I seriously remember thinking that Robert Carlyle should get nominated for playing Rumple/Mr. Gold. It was so original and so crazy and Robbie did it perfectly.
thedarkonedearieParticipantRIP Sympathy for the De Vil. Also 7:15 A.M. I think many of you guys forget about good that episode was. Sad to see Queen of Hearts go as well.
thedarkonedearieParticipantThis was the hardest cut. Voted.
