ParticipantI loved this episode. This is probably the best I’ve seen in a while.
Liked:
– The Mad Hatter. He’s a little too over the top and loopy in some of the comics for my liking. But this felt like a darker more realistic version. Something Christopher Nolan would have done if he had Tetch in one of his batman movies. Great casting, costume looks good.
– The scene where Tetch has that guy kill his wife……so creepy. That was so good.
– Yay, Falcone is back. Lee is an idiot for not thinking twice about A. coming back to gotham, B. working at the GCPD again with Jim running around, and C. Marrying Falcone’s son. But I don’t care how dumb she is. I loved Falcone in season 1. Calculated, but not over the top, has a soft human side, but also can be your worst nightmare. Love him.
– No Fish Mooney….I used to love her. She’s way too over the top now and I lost interest as soon as she gained her magical power. She should have died when she took that tumble from Penguin. So yay for her not being in this.
– The way Penguin popped out of the window. Oh man, I did the same thing RG. Giggled with glee. Hooray for Penguin and Riddler teaming up again.
– Valerie and Jim do have great chemistry. Valerie really did have a good time…..you could see it in her face, although she tried to cover it up. Mulan, I want your happy ending but I’m not sure I want you to get it with a stressed out bounty hunter.
– The scene where Bruce grabs Selina’s hand. Awww..
Mixed:
– Penguin running for mayor. Isn’t this the Batman Returns plot with Danny Devito? I don’t hate it, but it just makes me think they have nothing for Penguin to do.
– Bruce’s clone. I mean, this is whatever. The actor is doing well with it but I’m just not sure where they are going with this. What is Clone Bruce going to try and cop a feel in the car or something? Like I don’t know what the point of it is.

ParticipantI also thought it was really strange that he would be in a Land of Untold Stories. I don’t understand how no one seems to have heard of The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas.
I believe they gave their “ouat spin” on it as they would say. He was in the land of untold stories because it was the only way to save the hand maiden he became fond of. So Rumple sent him there and he explained his story stopped right then when he left. So as the writers said about all the other characters, you think you know the story but that’s not exactly what happened. So this is just another example of that.

ParticipantAlso, a nurse ratched appearance. She’ll probably just be in the background when Mr. Hyde breaks out of the institution, or when they take him out for information or something.

ParticipantNope, but let’s face it: if you’re gonna have talking animals, Cinderella is the best place to start.
Very true. I’m inclined to think we would just see him on the screen in mouse form. But then why cast the actor…..hmm a talking mouse would look kinda funny but as you said if they’re gonna do it, the Cinderella story is the time.

ParticipantTo be fair, I’m not thrilled about the idea of Savior Emma killing off Non-Savior Emma because that’s basically the same as Regina killing the EQ–it doesn’t work that way because Regina will always be the EQ but it’s about temperament and restraint. For Emma, she’ll always have that “orphan” part of her, but it’s about accepting herself and those who love her and her place among them.
Precisely why I am not rooting for this.

ParticipantLooks like we’re going to see Gus-Gus as a mouse for the first time ever.
And that’s amazing.

ParticipantBlack fairy…one time. You don’t just bring something up like that if you don’t have a plan to work them in at some point. Well, this could be the final season, and there are untold stories everywhere. Now is as good a time as anything. Maybe the black fair was actually the good fairy? What if blue stole the black fairy’s wand and got all her power. There are just so many ways they could do this. One time.

ParticipantSee I feel like if it end up being Rumple who killed Charming’s father, that would cause a ton if internal strife. It brings Charming into the equation and he specifically has never had any huge quarrels with Rumple on a personal level. And obviously since it has to do with Charming, Snow would get brought into it as well. It would be interesting if many of these untold stories with the main characters revolved around Rumple secretly doing something. Then every turns on Rumple. But like, to tear each other apart, man there better be some seriously secret stuff other than Emma’s premonition and Charming’s Dad.

ParticipantTher’es obviously an untold story with Charming’s father. But other than that…geez who knows. This is just a way for the writers to justify tell us new information on all these characters and calling it an “untold story.” It’s basically fotgotten character island land and new stories for main characters land. I hope they actually reveal some shocking stuff and this isn’t just all build up from the EQ. Please don’t be like season 5a when Emma said everyone would pay for what they did to her in Camelot.
