ParticipantI thought he was boring. He fell in love with a hand-maiden we had never heard of until now and basically serves as the hunter for Regina. She hires someone to kill Snow White, they back out in the last moment. He was whatever but I sort of expected that. His fight with Regina was good and I’m glad it wasn’t the Count himself doing. I liked it was the EQ manipulating him.

ParticipantUhhhhhhh I want it to be Blue so bad. Like so incredibly bad. A classic villain hiding in the shadows but in plain site this whole time. It’s almost too good to not write it in, even if it wasn’t planned.
But I’m going to stick with it being Rumple. Second place vote goes to Jafar. I think this EQ thing is a red herring. They wouldn’t show us the answer this early. It’s meant to throw us off. And Emma having to kill herself just seems so corny for my liking. I believe it was Jafar (or the Oracle) who said every Savior has that villain who is their arch nemesis. Maybe that arch nemesis is herself, but I have always felt like it’s Emma and Rumple: Two powerhouses who up until this point, really have not had many physical magic quarrels, if any. Lot of chatter but to me it always felt they were saving the actual fighting for the end game. It would be quite poetic honestly. Emma isn’t going to die…she’s going to kill the person under the hood. I think Rumple will die this season, and it would be pretty poetic if the person Rumple basically created (with the help of Snowing) to help find his son, ends up terminating him before he can officially “meet” his new son.

ParticipantI’m also betting on it being Rumple. Dark horse is Jafar. But I’m going to continue with the theory that it’s Rumple behind the cloak in Emma’s dream so this season they are slowly going to make Rumple into the really evil person they love to make him out to be so they can then kill him. It starts with finding out it was him who actually murdered David’s father.

ParticipantThe Count’s ballroom was surprisingly pretty. Normally scenes like that scream “green screen!” with its poor rendering.
I too was very impressed with the ballroom. For a second, I didn’t think it was CGI.

ParticipantOverall: 6.5/10
This was a slight tick down for me from the premiere but there were some good moments and not so good moments. Some great character moments with Regina and the EQ, the Charmings and Regina, Emma and Archie, but this episode for me, was bogged down with lack luster flashbacks. But everything in present-day storybrooke for the most part was pretty great. But with no Mr. Hyde, this was all about the EQ. I just hope they both can work together or something. I’d rather that then see Zelena relapse.
Liked:
– Everything that is the EQ. Lana Parrilla is eating it up. Her costumes were great, her sing songy thing with Regina and the Charmings. Her interaction with Zelena and then Henry. All great. Even the awkward scene with Rumple was incredibly well acted by both Lana and Robert.
– Hook apologizing to Belle. It was sincere. But if I’m Belle, I’m not sure I’d want to stay in the underbelly’s of a ship belonging to a man who tricked me, and tried to kill me who’s also a rival of my current husband, and likely staying in one of Milah’s pirate sex slave dungeons.
– I like the idea of everyone having some secrets that need to be panned out and that the EQ is just going to watch them eat each other.
– Ok, who killed Charming’s father. My bet is on Jafar or Rumple. But this is already making David interesting again.
Mixed:
– I love Archie being back but I feel like Emma really needs to at least tell her parents about what she saw. I get she thinks it’s Regina behind the cloak so fine, don’t tell her. But tell your parents. Tell Hook.
– EQ seducing Rumple. Well acted and creepy as all hell, but the EQ never had that kind of relationship with Rumple so I reject the notion that she would do that.
– Rumple has a key to another land? Man, portals just are so easy now. It’s just frustrating when for 3 seasons you make it out to be this impossibly challenging thing to do and now it looks so easy.
– As much as I’d like to see EQ and Zelena team up, Zelena has come too far to revert back to her old ways. I sincerely hope she’s just playing with the EQ to get her to trust her only to help Regina defeat her in the end.
– The fight with the Count was good. And something about Regina fighting in her mayor attire with a sword just was fun to watch. Her putting her life on the line to save her family. She has come a long way. But please, don’t give me this “taste of darkness” bull again. She had to kill the Count. She had no choice. If this somehow spirals her down the path of Evil, I’m going to hurl.
Disliked:
– The handmaiden? Really? I couldn’t help myself from laughing uncontrollably at the screen. Like that was so bad for so many reasons.
– The Count’s flashbacks. It’s basically a rehashing of the hunter (graham). EQ hires someone to kill Snow White. They can’t go through with it. Flashbacks were pretty lame.
– The most underrated character on the show wasn’t in tonight’s episode. Mr. Hyde takes over Storybrooke for one half episode, and then gets thrown into lock up. I really hope this isn’t going to be like Arthur who starts out promising and then gets tossed aside until they are ready to kill him off. I’m hoping he has a much bigger connection to Jafar. He did know about the Oracle and to follow the red bird so if the Oracle is in fact Jafar, then Mr. Hyde knows more than he’s letting on.

ParticipantHook is not a fan favorite. He is easily the most disliked character on the show.
False. His character is divided in the fandom but the people that love him, LOVE him.

ParticipantArchie, Blue Fairy, Rumple, Charming, Zelena, Hook (3 times)… Sorry to tell you but death already means nothing on this show, especially after we know that they basically live the same life in a red Storybrooke after they die and it doesn’t help that resurrection has no post traumatic effect on them.
Only three of those are even comparable though. Rumple, Hook, and Blue Fairy. They all were dead for a longer period of time. Not just one episode. We found out in the same episode that Archie was fine, and you saw his “death” through a dog’s memories. A little different than getting obliterated by a crystal right in front of us. Zelena, although somewhat shocking that they brought her back, she turned into dust, floated away, and opened the portal, so it was sort of implied that she wasn’t completely dead. And Hook, well, he’s such a huge cast member and fan favorite…we all kinda knew he wasn’t completely dead. And Charming was dead for like 5 seconds before Snow shared her heart. Robin was obliterated into dust and we haven’t seen him since. And then his exit interviews were pretty brutal towards A&E. And he said he wouldn’t come back. I just don’t think some of the other characters are comparable. To me, death still means SOMETHING (barely) on this show. But if they actually bring back Robin Hood to life, it’s over for me, and I honestly may stop watching the show.

ParticipantMy guesses:
1. It’s about Jafar posing as the Oracle girl.
2. Sneaky Fairy

ParticipantOh I agree there’s a far greater chance he’s going to remain dead than come back to life. But I also thought there was next to no chance of seeing him again given death and Sean’s interviews
Also true.
thedarkonedearie
ParticipantWell, isn’t that the thing though? They could. They’ve already gone back on “he was obliterated” and if they really wanted to, they would. Have Zeus snap his fingers or have there be another magical object that can bring him back or have it be a reward for Regina for defeating her evil self.
I just think they can barely get away with bringing someone back from the dead once. If they do it again, death will literally mean nothing on this show. I will bet my life on it that Robin Hood will not be brought back to life.
