ParticipantI enjoyed episode 2 way more than episode 1. I liked the dynamic between Fish and Penguin. I like that Gordon can be a kickbutt and not have to worry about being a cop right now. Ivy is whatever. So cliche. I love the villain but I hope she’s not flat in this show. I liked the interaction between the Court of Owls and Bruce. Overall, not a bad episode. Oh and crazy Barbara continues to be amazing. No Nygma though 🙁

ParticipantI could also see Hook reach out to Belle, instead of the other way around if he knows she’s pissed at the guy he still hates. Could try to use her. But I hope not.

ParticipantThat’s probably right but I’m not sure how that fits with the theme of hope? It may in A and E ‘s head but…I’m not sold
I get their show they maintain has always been about hope and happy endings. But I hope that not everyone gets one. I’d like to see a big death and Rumple fits the bill.

ParticipantI would LOVE it if they brought the Seer’s prophecy from 2×14 back in. Explaining how Pan had the drawing of Henry in 2×22 would be awesome too, but I’m pretty sure that’s not going to happen.
The picture will never be explained. But the prophecy, I certainly hope so.

ParticipantUhhh, classic catering to the fandom. They just couldn’t let him go. This better be worth it. I’m thinking it’s an impostor. Perhaps Jafar. Although the whole I’ll be Your Mirror thing is just so obvious at this point. Perhaps Regina finally lets Sydney off the hook and let’s him be free. And Robin somehow willingly takes on the role bc he’s dead anyway? Who knows. I’m thinking impostor still. They can’t bring him back to life. And it’s a multi-episode arc. So it’s gotta be Jafar or the EQ.

ParticipantAs your bottom line quote says, “All magic comes with a price.” And his price for all the magic he’s used for evil, is his death.

ParticipantAbout the prophecy, I will not say they thought about this for now, bc they already said in the blu ray commentaries, that sometimes they mention things, move on, and later mentioned them again and they tell the fans that they planned which was not true, this was admitted by the writers. I think the prophecy was always meant to be about Henry, how we will never know, the thing is something changed closer to s3a finale that lead to all seasons of retcons, so I would praise them of bringing the prophecy to use, not by saying they always planed to use it for this, if rumple ends dying at the hand of his son or bc of his son.
Idk though. If this is how the story plays out, it’s hard not to think they had this planned all along. And even if they didn’t, they deserve props for deciding to keep Rumple alive after 3a, and switch the narrative on how the prophecy plays out but still having it make sense based on what the Seer said. It would be harder to do that than just sticking with what they originally planned.

ParticipantAlso theory thing fits, I even think some time ago they hinted that the prophecy could be mentioned again, wasn’t the prophecy saying that a boy would lead rumple to his son but that boy would be his undoing, or whatever was? So f they actually use that again, I may have to actual praise them for that, and at this point rumple dying, if that prediction is based on something real, is the only character I see going off. And if he dies at his son hand, is link to Star Wars and the theory on tumblr that Morpheus is like Kylo rhen. Also, maybe Morpheus is mr. gold first name and they said they have a specific time for belle to have the kid, means that probably btw winter finale and return may have a time jump.
I think all of this fits. There are reports that Robert Carlyle wants off the show. There was the prediction that a series regular would exit the show by the halfway point. A&E said we would see Morpheus again before it was revealed that it was their actual son. They also said that while there wouldn’t be a time jump to start the season, there could be later on. And then there’s the prophecy, which I have always said never really occurred in season 3a. All of this lends some strong evidence to the theory that Rumple will die around the midpoint of the season and the second half will be a time jump which will help with Henry’s aging but also age up their son to look like he did in Belle’s dream. And if the prophecy does come back into play and a “boy” leads him to his “son” but that boy will also be his “undoing,” then big props to the writers for having this planned all along.

ParticipantIt’s going to piss Rumple off so much if he knows she went to Hook for help. Maybe that’s her play here.
thedarkonedearie
ParticipantBut it would very logically complete Rumple’s story — he killed his father, it would be logical that his son kills him (or causes his death).
This would actually fulfill the prophecy that never really was fulfilled from season 3a. A boy would be Rumple’s undoing. Here we thought it would be Henry but maybe it’s his own son. I’m one of the people who still believe the prophecy has not come to fruition yet so this would make a lot of sense to me.
