As for The Apprentice… it is in my opinion the very best episode in season four. It’s certainly my favorite from four anyway.
I completely agree actually. I loved the Apprentice. But I loved Sympathy for the De Vil just a bit more.
Nimue was a terrible episode, in my opinion. Though people liked it because it was dark one back story. It seems to generally be regarded as inconsistent and a pretty anti climactic backstory. Though at the time, some people liked it just because it gave us some answers about the dark one and that it seemed like it would lead to some bigger mythology which did not happen because the arc just ending up not making sense and being about Hook being the dark one instead.
Disagree. I loved Nimue. It gave some of the best Emma moments of the season when she resisted Nimue’s allure and power. And although it was rushed, I enjoyed seeing Merlin and Nimue’s backstory.
I actually, don’t find the end of Season 6 to really be the ending or to really be all that important. Agree to disagree, but those episodes were boring for me.
You didn’t find the ending of season 6 to be important? Huh? With Gideon’s life on the line, Emma’s life on the line, Black Fairy’s life on the line, all the realms’ existence on the line, EQ’s life on the line…..Like say what you want, there were many flaws, but you can’t just sit there and say there was nothing on the line.
Quick thoughts:
– I was sad to see Strange Case and Heart of the Truest Believer Go. Also Heartless.
– I think every episode I deemed important and good from season 2 is still there. So congrats for everyone getting that right. Season 2 had some serious clunkers but it also had some incredible ones.
– I too am surprised The Other Shoe and Devil’s Due are still there. I enjoyed both of those episodes but I liked others that got voted off way more.
– I was so sad to see Our Decay go last round. RIP Zades
– I will stand by The Song in Your Heart. It was my favorite of the season. I will vote for it every time. Everyone can admit they did such a better job with the musical than anyone thought they would. The music was actually fun and catchy and the actors did such a good job with it. Also, CS wedding.
– I think Going Home might be the biggest threat to a season 1 episode to take the crown here when it gets down to the final few. Just a prediction.
[adrotate group="5"]thedarkonedearieParticipantIt also says a lot for Sebastian Stan that his episode origin episode is so popular when he was only in 6 episodes total with only 2 of those being him in flashbacks.
For me, Sebastian Stan was a big loss for the show.
thedarkonedearieParticipantI voted yesterday. This is fun.
thedarkonedearieParticipant– Happy Beginnings
– A New Beginning
– A New Curse
– Lucy in the Sky With Darkness
thedarkonedearieParticipantAnyone else end up really enjoy that finale? It had its flaws but I think it was the best one yet for the show. And no Harley…..interesting. And Butch is Solomon Grundy? Babs is dead? Crazy fight though. Long time coming. Riddler is frozen. Iceberg lounge. Rha’s? Man this finale had everything except Harley Quinn haha.
thedarkonedearieParticipantHuh?
thedarkonedearieParticipant#shadytigerlily….or she’s just plain stupid.
thedarkonedearieParticipantIn Season 1 they had all of these weird cryptic moments where we didn’t know what was going on, like all the hints about who Red was or that weird scene where Rumpel was digging in the forest. There were tons of these things. Then in Season 3B when we meet Zelena we immediately know she is evil and we very quickly know who she is and yet the main characters interact with her like complete morons for half the season. That doesn’t work. It is like they have forgotten how to do mystery.
Oh man that is spot on. How about not knowing if Rumple remembered in season 1. And then he says “please.” Snow being framed by a mystery someone. They do need more mystery for sure. That’s what made season 1 so great, at least for me.
thedarkonedearieParticipantI personally have no issue with the curse or memory wipe so long as they can switch it up and make it interesting.
Yeah I mean they have to switch it up. If you’re going to do the same schtick every time, at least twist it a bit. And they’ve done it so many times now that they really need to switch it up A LOT. Like, serious question….why do they keep doing memory wipes? And I don’t want an answer like, “Well they are horrible unoriginal writers and can’t think of anything else.” That’s ridiculous. Do they really think that they can only do a full season of drama if there is a curse and everyone doesn’t remember stuff? Are they trying to just mirror season 1 on purpose? Bc there’s no way that a memory wipe is the only thing these writers can come up with. Was this the only way to be able to have their cake and eat it too (keep Regina, Hook and Rumple on the show but also keep their Enchanted Forest selves? Like, there has got to be better reasoning than just these writers don’t know what else to do. Do they think that curses and memory wipes are actually what the fans want? I just don’t get it.
thedarkonedearieParticipantSee I actually think seeing Regina and Rumple and Hook cursed away from their loved ones for a change could be fun to see….but only for a little bit. It has to be resolved by midseason.
