ParticipantWhich is rather shocking because while Anna could grate on my nerves, Lail was really great in the role. But she’s hard to watch here.
Yeah it’s funny you say that. My roommate was telling me how much he didn’t like her as Anna. I actually thought she did Anna quite well. But yeah, I’m glad you see it to. She just seems, well, not good here.
He’s not annoying at all so far. But he’s also had only 5 mins of screen time max
Also agree with this. Have barely seen him to form an opinion.

Participant(Also, whoa! Bobby’s hair!)
Is Rumple going to have short hair this season?

ParticipantI actually enjoyed this episode and thought it was much better than the pilot. Instead of random ghosts jumping around at people, we got a little more insight, or at least screen time, into the “tall man.” It just felt like instead of just random scares like last week, we got some creepy stuff that might actually mean something going forward. And I liked Alex’s story. He gets what he wants, but he does have a heart. Classic misunderstood jerk that plays both sides. And the addition of the campers was welcome because young kids in a creepy setting always work well in horror. Elizabeth Mitchell continues to thrive when her character always seems to have a secret and Elizabeth Lail continues to be the worst actor on the show.

ParticipantYay! I don’t know who the patient is, but I wish it were me. I could use some therapy to help me through S6. As for Emma in therapy, here’s how THAT might play out. ARCHIE: Emma, I’m so glad you’re seeking help for all your issues. EMMA: I don’t have issues. ARCHIE: Really? Since my last appearance, you became the dark one, heard voices in your head, ripped out a girl’s heart, killed your boyfriend, rescued him from hell, discovered your parents are baby kidnappers and started having disturbing prophetic dreams. Have I missed anything? EMMA: What’s your point? ARCHIE: My point is you could use some support. EMMA: My walls are my support! I have four, thick, load bearing ones all around me and I can lean on them as much as I want. How can you not know about my walls?!! ARCHIE: That’s not the kind of support I meant. You’ve been through a lot, you need help. EMMA: Archie, this whole town’s been through a lot. EVERYONE needs help. I’m the least of your worries. ARCHIE: But… EMMA: I’m the main character, so my happy ending’s guaranteed. Also, I’m immune to karma, my boyfriend’s harder to kill than a cockroach and our love story is by far the writers’ favourite. Even my leather jacket gets as much backstory as the only same sex couple and it’s still with us, unlike most of the PoC. Seriously Archie, there are others who need your help more. ARCHIE: Despite your low self awareness and negative EQ, you raise a very good point.
This is just amazing.
I think Emma has more reason than anyone
Yeah this has Emma written all over it. Or at least I hope so. It could be there way to get her back to the Emma we all loved. Plus bonus, we get Archie.

ParticipantOverall, I thought this episode was….pretty cliche.
Literally the first word I said to describe the pilot when my roommate asked how it was.

ParticipantMan, the more I think about it, the more I think I’m going to really enjoy this coming season. Ditch the villain of the arc, and bring back season 1 vibe in storybrooke. The untold story thing just opens up so many character avenues. I’ve enjoyed the speculation of pretty much all the characters listed in this thread from the genie to Dracula.

ParticipantYou don’t think “Morpheus” is going to be the sand man do you?
Funny enough, I would not hate this.

ParticipantThe issue is when Hook and Emma are on screen together because of how CS is written. The writers’ best bet would be to break Hook and Emma up temporarily, let them develop as characters separately (Have Hook spend time with Charming so there is still that link plus Hook and Charming are at their best when they are in scenes alone together), then once Emma and Hook have become more solid in their character foundation have them interact and build up from there.
Yeah I just think Hook could spend time with Charming now. The writer’s were just choosing not to. They can always change that. Hook doesn’t have to break up with Emma to make some of these things happen. But you’re right, season 1 Emma was closed off and a non believer so we won’t ever get that. But I am hoping for her feisty confident personality again.

ParticipantYes that’s it. Or if they do acknowledge the bad parts, they are quick to write a “good act” that somehow wipes away all the bad ones, no matter how minor or paltry the good one may be.
The problem is they killed Hook. And then they wrote themselves into a corner because they wanted to visit the UW and Hades, but they also wanted to bring Hook back. And the only way to do that, was to overemphasize the few good acts he does, and play down his bad acts. Here’s to hoping the morally grey Hook continues, but now since his life doesn’t hang in the balance, we’ll get some better writing.

ParticipantI refuse to believe that Emma can’t go back to her season 1 self just because she’s with Hook now. If the story isn’t all about Hook, then it is attainable. They will at least try I’m sure.
