ParticipantYeah I remember back when they had Hook actually love her as opposed to just taking her captive as a sex slave that I wanted to see how that relationship developed. Pity.

ParticipantNeed Jerome back too. I was thinking they would bring him back for the end of the season but it seems I was wrong. I do have to think Tetch will do something though before the season is out. While else would they keep him around? It seems silly to pay the actor to just rot in a cell and show up for a minute or two once every 5 episodes unless they are planning for him to escape.

ParticipantAm I the only one who didn’t want Narnia on OUAT? I confess I never read the books, but I didn’t really like the movies except for the first one. And even then, they already did a season about a snow queen. I don’t want to see another season where the villain is the white witch (basically another snow queen). I think the time to bring in Narnia and the white witch was season 4a when they brought Elsa on the show. But the last thing I want now is for OUAT to travel to Narnia.

ParticipantThere is a difference between disagreeing with someone’s opinion and calling the actual person themselves “bitter” for having that opinion. It would be like someone who hates CS calling CSers “rape apologists” just because they view CS as “rape culture” and Csers don’t.
Everything you say is fair and you’re right. People probably shouldn’t call other people anything. However, are you really comparing calling someone “bitter” to calling someone a “rape apologist?” That doesn’t seem very fair. I’m just saying calling someone bitter is an observation that I don’t find to be THAT rude on a tv show’s forum compared to other things I’ve seen.

ParticipantIt’s like when the CSers point to JMo saying how much she loves CS or how great she thinks the relationship is, but point blank ignore her talking about the positives of SQ relationship or whens she said “Neal was such a true love for Emma.” But at the same time we point to those quotes about Neal and try to find subtext behind the CS stuff. It’s a problem for both sides. I personally don’t believe JMo is as on board with CS as those shippers want to believe and that largely comes down to the way she plays Emma (including dress and makeup) in a CS scene vs in a non-CS scene. And often times the way an actor plays something will let you know how they really feel. (Bobby doing his best work all season with the actor playing his son, and sorta phoning it in elsewhere, as an example)
Fair point. We’ll probably never truly know her actual feelings. But count me in on the side where I believe what JMo is saying and not assuming she is lying. And if I’m being consistent, than I also have to believe her when she says Neal and Emma were true love. If she says Neal and Emma were true love, why would she lie about this? But yes, you can certainly tell when Bobby is phoning it in and when he’s actually acting his butt off. I guess I haven’t really been able to detect JMo’s performance differing in certain scenes, but I also suppose I wasn’t looking for it. But to me, that just means Bobby’s was more obvious.

ParticipantIs there a possibility that the ratings are so low that they just pull the season halfway through? It would really suck if we didn’t get to see the second half of it, especially if they end up doing some of stuff we think they are going to do.

ParticipantI love the way JMO talks about the show and CS. She understands the beauty of it and she’s always been for it. I think anyone that tries to suggest she hates it or the show is just bitter and projecting their feelings on to JMO. It’s honestly really pathetic seeing that from certain fandoms. Just cause you don’t like it doesn’t mean she needs to feel the way you do. Deal with it.
So I just addressed this in the SF thread not knowing you posted on here about it. I did find it odd that just bc JMo said something nice about Emma and the show, many SF fans believe she is actually not being truthful. Like, it is possible she actually did like Emma and the show haha. It comes off as SF fans searching for some sort of justification that the show lost it’s footing with Emma once Neal left the show.
You know @Michael, if you don’t like what you read in the Swanfire thread, then the simplest thing to do is NOT visit the Swanfire thread. You have your own opinions, that’s fine, but other people have theirs too. One is not more valid than the other. The fact that you visit the Swanfire thread then come here to complain about the opinions in the Swanfire thread, and by extension insulting the people by who have those opinions by calling them “bitter”, is what Hook would call “bad form”. You don’t like what you read in the Swanfire thread, then don’t visit the Swanfire thread.
And while I don’t agree with @Michael’s language and direct attacks at people at times, I see no problem visiting the SF thread, disagreeing with something, and then commenting about the people’s opinions in this thread. There are things I agree with and things I disagree with in the SF thread and I comment as such. What I just read in the SF thread does come off as a little bitter if I’m being honest. Which is totally fine! But then if someone else calls you guys bitter in the CS thread, then you can’t be surprised. It’s an opinion and I don’t view that as bad form at all. In fact, if you don’t like what you read in the CS thread, then you don’t have to come here either. It works both ways doesn’t it? I just read something in the SF thread that says only CS fans have enjoyed JMO’s work in the last couple seasons and only CS fans have enjoyed Emma the last few seasons. Well now aren’t you guys taking shots at CS fans now in your thread and doing the same thing?
I have no problem with SF fans venting on the SF thread about CS fans and same goes with CS fans on their thread. It works both ways and you have to be ok with reading it if you’re going to go to that thread. @Michael went to the SF thread and then commented on what he read in the CS thread. You went to the CS thread and then commented in the CS thread about what you saw. You would have never known what @Michael thought of JMo’s exit interview if you didn’t come here. So I would say the same thing to SF fans as I do to CS fans. Understand that if you visit the other’s thread, you may not like what you read, but then deal with it. Calling people bitter is hardly the worst thing @Michael has said haha.

ParticipantAll the CS shippers who currently love her (and really it’s only the CSers who have actually enjoyed her work in the last couple of years) would revolt and ditch her and never watch anything she did again if she dared to diss the CS storyline in any way. On the flipside, the rest of us would gain back respect for her.
You guys really lost respect for her? Well if that isn’t the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. What on Earth has JMo done to lose the respect of SF fans?
So I do like her new look a lot! And I do feel like she needed a change of scenery. I would have gotten sick of playing Emma at this point as well. But I find it very interesting that when JMo says something nice about the show and about Emma, you assume she’s not being entirely truthful and that someone else may have even wrote her exit interviews for her……or you know maybe she actually really did like the show and really did like Emma! Just bc you guys did not like the way the show took Emma as a character, (and that’s perfectly fine as I started getting annoyed with her at times too) and you obviously don’t like CS, does not mean when actors on the show says things that you don’t agree with, that they must be lying bc how could she possibly feel that way! I don’t know guys. It just comes off as SF fans looking for some sort of justification that just isn’t there or proven, at least by JMo. Just my two cents on how it looks from an outsider’s perspective.

ParticipantYeah I think either the League of Assassins is running the Court of Owls, they actually are the Court of Owls, or they are playing the Court of Owls and basically using them as pawns to do their bidding.

ParticipantOk, so the mentor guy is bad….saw that one coming. When are they going to reveal who he actually is…..
Yay Riddler Penguin team up.
Bye bye Katherine…although kind of anti-climactic. I feel like Barnes wouldn’t have just snapped on her like that, that quickly.
Guys, I think they are trying to do to Lee what they did to Barbara….make her interesting by turning her into a villain. I still don’t really understand her motives here but does this mean the end for her and Jim? Are they going to turn her into Harley Quinn perhaps?
