Bae may have let something slip but he didn’t say it was the dagger or that Rumple had to be stabbed in the heart with it. That is what my initial post was about.
When we first see Hook, back in the EF, he not only knows that there is a magical weapon, he also knows about Belle. The information about Belle could not have come Bae. There has to be a 3rd party involved. It didn’t come from Cora and EQ either as he met both for the first time after he attacked Belle. So, I’m thinking there is more to this story than we realize.
Why he chose at this particular time to return, I don’t know. Could be that Bae let something slip but I’m thinking there is more to it than that and may involve Belle’s father, Sir Maurice. There was a connection between Moe French and William Smee in SB, so perhaps Sir Maurice was looking for someone (a pirate) to get back his daughter from Rumple and word got around between worlds. I just find the connection between Belle/Maurice/Smee/Rumple/Hook has a little more to it than what we are seeing. π
Well Hook knew about Belle from Regina – in FTL before the curse, remember he approached Belle when she was being held captive by Regina and she said she wouldn’t help him kill Rumple so Hook knocked her out.
I don’t think Neal would have confronted Gold about killing Milah when they were reunited. He pretty much didn’t want to even talk to him and it had been 300 years, I think he just wanted to let Gold talk so the conversation would be over with. Neal doesn’t seem to want to discuss any of the issues he has with Gold he just wants to stay away from him.
Hook did not find out about Belle from Regina. Regina knew about Hook but they met for the first time when she stopped him from killing Belle. That’s why she said to Hook “Yes, I know who you are.”.
Evil Queen: Is that any way to address a queen? Even a pirate should have better manners than that. Yes⦠I know who you are⦠Captain. I know why you came here from Neverland. And I know all about the crocodile you wish to skin.
I agree with Gypsy. I think two things would have come out between Neal and Rumple, his abandonment and the murder of his mother. There is no way Neal would not have addressed Rumple killing Milah. I believe that’s what is going to be the game changer this Sunday. Hook is going to let the cat out of the bag and Neal will never forgive Rumple for it. The writers have been saving this little nugget of gold for the season’s finale. π

Agreed, I think this is supposed to be sensational speculation. I am 95.5% sure Kurt is in the basement. I don’t know if he’s aged or anything, but I think he’s in the basement.
I find it funny that Reggie has two people handling that basement. Both represent characters from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. We have the Severe Nurse, meant to represent Nurse Ratched and we have the mop pushing custodian, meant to represent Chief Bromden. What if Kurt is really that custodian?
It’s doubtful but it’s a fun thought just the same. π

ParticipantNow that I don’t know. Perhaps Bae got tired of living in NL for over 100 years and thought it was time to grow up. He did tell Rumple that he didn’t want to be 14 again. Perhaps he realized Hook was only concerned with vengeance and he wanted no part of it. If Hook was willing to use Belle to get to Rumple, I could easily see him trying to do the same with Bae. Maybe that’s what finally happened and Bae got the opportunity to run and took it. So much to speculate about. π
I just think that regardless of how angry Bae may have been towards his father, he never would have divulged how to kill him. Even if he had, why would he say there is a magical weapon yet not say that it’s the dagger? Bae never wanted Rumple killed, he only wanted Rumple changed from the Dark One.

Hook: The Dark One β he must be stopped. You spent more time with him than anyone. There are rumours of a magical weapon that has the power to kill him.
Queen of Hearts
Hook knew about something that could kill the Dark One, but you’re right he didn’t know it was a dagger. So maybe Bae let it slip that there was a magical weapon that could harm the Dark One and that’s when Hook took off for FTL.
I hear you, but Hook didn’t find out about the dagger until Cora told him in SB. He heard rumours of a weapon that could kill Rumple but had no idea what it was. I think he heard those rumours from the same person who also told him about Belle (her father maybe?). Neal didn’t know a thing about Belle until he came to SB. So, in my mind, whoever told Hook that there was a magical weapon and that Belle may know about it, could not have been Bae.

My personal speculation is that at some point, about 28 years ago, Bae finally told Hook about Rumple’s dagger. He and Hook were almost like father-son at this point and maybe Bae didn’t mean to, but he told Hook about the one thing that would kill the Dark One. Maybe he didn’t expect Hook to use the information, but of course Hook did. This made Bae feel really guilty and thus he fled back to our world and landed in NJ around the year 1991.
I’m pretty sure that when Hook left Neverland, he still didn’t know about the dagger. Had he known the dagger, he wouldn’t have attacked Belle in EQ’s dungeon in an attempt to find out how to kill Rumple. I believe he found out about the dagger’s ability to control/kill Rumple once he partnered up with Cora.

Not in the movies. Bobby Driscoll voiced him in the Disney film, and Jeremy Sumpter played him in the 2003 film.
I should have been more specific as I was referring to the stage production, which in my mind (apart from the books) is canon. Both the Disney’s 1953 animated movie and the 2003 movie strayed from canon in various areas.
With J.M. Barrie’s stage production, it was difficult to hire child actors to work the long productions hours back in the early 1900’s. That’s why the role of Peter Pan was originally played by a small female and as stage tradition goes, the casting of a female stuck.
With Captain Hook, it was cheaper to have one actor play both roles. In the books, it is also believed that all adults are pirates. Only made sense to cast both Mr. Darling and Captain Hook with the same actor. π

Lol. I must have missed that bit of info. Good to know. π
Understandable. π You’re a busy girl these days keeping minions like me under control π
Apparently, she was killed by Emma but there was protection of the fail safe built into the curse. Reggie can conjure up Male’s essence to protect the fail safe when she needs to.
