I have been thinking a bunch about realm jumping as there seems to be so many holes. The writers need to make things a wee more concrete. For instance, the hat can travel go to worlds with magic, but not to worlds without it. Yet, we see Jefferson and Regina pull an apple from FTL pre broken curse. Does this suggest that one can travel from a land without magic to a land with magic and then back again? What are the exact rules of the hat? Also, since Jefferson was able to travel to Frankenstein’s world via Hat, I assume that Frankenstein’s world has magic? How many times can a bean be used? What are the rules of the beans, or the shoes, or the globe, etc..

Perhaps Hook used the bean to gain entry into Wonderland. Perhaps Hook was a realm jumper before the bean. Perhaps he had the bean, wanted to go to Neverland but ended up in Wonderland instead and that is how he learned about the compass and met the QOH.

It would appear that Cora is indeed the QOH. (I was hoping the QOH was a sister but oh well). The write up defines the Queen as vengeful. Since Cora was cast into Wonderland, I can see why she would be vengeful and hate even the sound of Regina’s name. I wonder if Cora has Hook kidnap Regina’s father. If Cora is the QOH, I think she overthrows the original Wonderland Queen and pretends to still be her. That would account for why she keeps herself hidden from others.

Great questions Kallio 🙂 I asked Adam Horowitz about this a few weeks ago but he didn’t answer. I kept wondering if portals created by beans could be accessed from portals via the hat.

I think it’s safe to assume that Hook did in fact end up in Neverland. Why else would they have him state that’s where he was going. I am extremely curious as to how he ended up in Wonderland though.

Going on the assumption that Cora is indeed the QofH then they would have had to have met within the last 20 years. Did Hook manage to leave Neverland pre-curse? Does the vortex, created by the bean, allow a return voyage? We certainly see a beanstalk still standing in Enchanted Forest. Does the hat enable one to travel through portals created by the beans?

Or, upon the curse, did all magical world’s collide thus allowing entry from one world to another? Can we assume that all other world’s have a tiny bit preserved just as the Enchanted Forest does? Is that how Philip & Mulan ended up meeting? Is that how Cora & Hook ended up meeting? Are they all crossing over one world to another? No more borders between magical worlds? The real world, our world, would not qualify.

So many questions. I’m looking forward to this episode more than any other. It just may hold many unanswered questions about Bae’s journey.

I think Hook is in it for Hook. He’ll use anyone to get what he wants which is of course revenge on Rumple. Right now, he probably thinks all the cards are in Cora’s favour, so that’s where his allegiance will lie.

Hmm but those guys never gives straight answers.. When did you hear them say that ?

If non of the characters are pure evil, then how can there be one pure good ?

Yes they do give us straight answers and other times they’ll give us ambiguous answers. That’s why it’s important to pay attention to what they say. They clearly stated that she was good in one of their Season 2 podcasts. You can find them on itunes.

I know a lot of people question her integrity and honesty, but I’ve got to go with what Kitsis & Horowitz clearly said. She’s the good guy. They weren’t ambiguous about it, they said it straight out. So there’s really no question that she’s good.

Yeah, I miss Rumpel a ton, too, and even Regina. But, fear not, for if you read the synopses for the next two episodes, you won’t be disappointed for much longer. 🙂

I’m with you both slurpeez & AntBee. Missing them terribly! Loved watching Reggie last night interact between Henry & Gold. I found her to be funny as heck! 😆 One minute she’s talking as the protective dotting mother. Then when Gold puts in a dig about how she should know about the sleeping curse, out comes the Evil Queen saying “My victims are not suppose to wake up, so, I certainly never cared what happened to them after!” Then quickly reverts back to dotting mother as she lovingly gazes upon Henry and says “Until now.” 😆 She cracked me up and played that part so well!

After watching Child of the Moon, I’m left wondering who was telling the truth about Red’s mother: Granny or Anita? Would Granny really lie about something as major as Red’s mother being killed by a hunter to protect Red from Anita’s wolf-like ways? Anita did seem very maternal towards Red, and I was sad that Red killed yet someone else close to her, but Anita might have been lying just to get Red to join her wolf-pack. Thoughts?

Grannies motives did come into question for me during the beginning of the episode as Anita certainly seemed to do good in that she helped Red control the wolf. However, the fact that Anita was so ready to tear Snow apart, despite Red’s pleading, sort of contradicted everything else she said. She was choosing to kill another human being. Thus, she cared more about the inner wolf than she did about her own daughter Red.

It left me feeling that Granny did the best she could. She most likely thought that the cape/cloak would protect Red and spare her from having to go through any of this.

In comparing both, I’d say both were speaking their own truths though Granny’s truth seemed to have Red’s best interest at heart. Anita’s didn’t.

Will be interesting to see if they do use the other hat. A spoiler for an upcoming episode talks about Gold & Reggie preparing to kill anyone who comes through the portal. So, it could very well be that Emma & Snow make it back through the hat and that Cora managed to get the compass from them and has her own portal.

Good question Nonnie about whether they need to come back with the wraith. That is certainly not something that the writers would miss.

Agreed Slurpeez. We’ve seen this heartfelt side of Gold a few times before. In Desperate Souls, Mr. Gold tried to give Emma Graham’s things. She said no to them. Then the conversation went like this:

Mr. Gold: Well, look. Your boy might like these, don’t you think? You could play together.

(He holds up a pair of walkie talkies.)

    Emma: I don’t-

Mr. Gold: No, please. They… They grow up so fast.

    Emma: Thanks.

Mr. Gold: You enjoy these with your boy. Your time together is precious, you know? That’s the thing about children – before you know it, you lose them.

Same as last night. There was a genuine fondness & tenderness there. You could hear it in his voice and see it in his facial expressions, especially the eyes. I’d love to see more Henry & Mr. Gold moments. That scene was certainly the highlight of the episode for me.

Gosh, I’ve never heard of Chernobog before but you can bet it was something or someone pretty nasty who created the dagger.
