ParticipantBack in S1x19 The Return, Blue clearly tells Baelfire that what ails his father isn’t from this world (meaning Dark Curse isn’t from the EF).
Hate to destroy all your wonderful conspiracy and it’s Plot!Plot!Plot! assumptions (okay, I don’t, specifically if it comes to the Blue Fairy), but have to tell you, you remember it wrong. Sorry. That is what the Blue Fairy is telling Bae in 1×19 The Return:
You see, what ails your father is specific to our realm. His powers do not belong here. You must go where you can escape this wretched curse.
Quoted from transcript, and re-watched the episode. Blue Fairy doesn’t say exactly, where the power is from, but that what troubles Rumple is “specific” to their realm, aka the Enchanted Forest or magical lands. Yes, she says as well, the power doesn’t belong there, and one can read that differently, but it doesn’t have to mean, the power doesn’t originate in the EF, just that it shouldn’t be there. Basically Blue Fairy was telling Bae in this scene, she can’t do anything about the Dark One in the Enchanted Forest, the magic was beyond her control or beyond her to undo, take away, but that there was hope in the form of going to a non-magical place.
That didn’t destroy my “conspiracy” (I thought I was asking a question and really didn’t see any conspiracy, but ok?). All you’ve done is reaffirmed that Blue said what ailed Rumple wasn’t from this realm, meaning the Dark Curse. So I’m really confused by your post and what you are getting at as it’s in complete support of what I’m saying.
Considering that Blue said it’s not from this world it’s in complete contradiction to what we heard in Quiet Minds, this past Sunday. Hear is Lumiere’s words: “It’s a key to the Vault of the dark one. Where the first Dark One was made, born out of, well, darkness. If you wish to bring Rumplestiltskin back to life then that’s where you must go.”
That contradicts what Blue said. If the first Dark One was MADE in the EF and that’s where they are born and resurrected from, then the Dark Curse certainly does come from the Enchanted forest. It was born and resurrected there.
No conspiracy theory here, just a HUGE PLOT HOLE where someone’s hasn’t kept tract on what was previously said or either Blue or Lumiere were lying.
Doesn’t get any simpler than that. 🙂

ParticipantBlue does lie. She lied to Snowing about the wardrobe only taking one. Blue lied about not having her wand in Broken because she had it in Queen is Dead. And in 311, she had the Black fairy’s wand.
This is where I have to politely disagree. She didn’t lie. When she told Snowing about the wardrobe, she had already agreed with Geppetto that Pino would go. So, in reality, by the time she told Snowing, only one other could go.
As for her wand, a lot could have happened between S2x01 and S3x11. I’m thinking she got it back from Gold’s pawnshop.

ParticipantSo, did the writers mess up?
because PLOT (no really. PLOT)
Just what I thought. They must think we are all unintellegent fans who have fallen off the turnip truck. Sigh………..

ParticipantI think this pretty much sums up the CS’ers attitude toward the NF & SF fans right now…

Aw! That made me tear up. Thank you. 🙂

ParticipantNeal and Emma loved each other, deeply. Belle even identified it as TRUE LOVE. I was not misinformed when I started this blog almost a year ago. But what I think changed is the actual vision. Now Emma gets to find Tallahassee with someone else? With the pirate with a drinking problem? And we finally get a CaptainFire moment only to have it end like this? Hook’s assertion that Neal would fail proves correct, but not because Emma doesn’t deeply love him. It’s because Zelena tricked him. And Hook gets to be the perfect step-daddy to Henry that he never was to Neal? I just can’t anymore. Rumple loses his son, his happy ending. What was the point of Neal’s sacrifice then, may I ask? What was the point of ANY of Rumple’s actions to reunite with his son? *Sigh* For me, it was never really *just* about Emma and Neal’s love. It was always about family. What bothers me most of all is the lack of resolution, the ill-usage of good-hearted characters, the message that it doesn’t really matter WHAT you do for others. Characters like Regina, Hook and Rumple have all abused people, lied, and murdered. Yet, they all get second chances. Yet the one character who has always done his best to do right by others gets abandoned, abused, handed over to demon-boys, becomes an outcast, and denied his second chance at family? Excuse me if I make my exit, A&E, because that is NOT a message of hope. It is the very opposite. Unless Neal’s death is the death which gets reversed, then I have no confidence anymore in this show, its vision, or its writing. I’ve enjoyed all of our conversations during the last while. I just won’t continue to be as invested in this show anymore. I am going to become a casual viewer, at best, but probably will take an indefinite leave of absence here after tonight. Maybe the season finale will change everything. Maybe not. But regardless, this is a cheap tactic to make way for a handsome pirate. It’s not that I hate the alternative. I just think it’s lousy writing and a huge cop-out.
I couldn’t have articulated it any better than you have Slurpeez.
Sadly, K&H will find out too late how important Baelfire was to the show’s fanbase. This isn’t about a ship; it’s about a character that meant love, hope & happy endings to many of us. He was Rumple’s happy ending and if they think they can write Rumple living happily ever after with Belle after this loss, then they’ve missed the importance of their own story.
I think I’m done with this series. This wasn’t Graham; this wasn’t Pino; this was Baelfire for crying out loud. Big mistake K&H, huge massive mistake.

ParticipantLMBO! That was really cute & funny. Have a bucket of warm water ready and two others on standby hehehe.
Gosh, I love this show! 🙂
Killian Jones, thank you for the first sneak peek. I missed thanking you earlier, when I was thanking RG, Matt & Nonnie.

ParticipantThat promo was AWESOME SAUCE!!!! You can cut the sexual tension between Reggie & Robin with a knife. Love how they banter between themselves. Wasn’t sure how this relationship would play out but it’s bloody GREAT! I can’t wait to see more. RegalHood might just be the medicine needed to help me with my broken heart should half of my ship be the unlucky one to pass away. Glad they brought that out when some of us need something to hang on to for hope. Man, aren’t they sassy & spicy together?
Thank you RG for posting this and all the other sneak peeks & promos that you so often do. Same thank you and nods go out to Nonnie & Matt. A lot of time and effort is spent tracking this down so WE, the members on this board, can ENJOY them. Just wanted you to know that as a member and huge fan of EVERY aspect of the show, I do appreciate everything the three of you do for us here.
Now back to this FABULICIOUS sneak peek. I was so disappointed when Robin leaned in towards Reggie and went for the booze instead of the kiss. That was hot stuff! Can’t wait for more!
PS. Gold, Robin, Hook & now Charming (Hook is such a bad influence on Charming hehehe) all like to partake from the flask. I wonder if there’s such a thing as Fairy Tale AA meetings? 😉

ParticipantI can see him knowing about the crystal ball from the movie but then he would also know about the flying monkey. My point is that he knew instinctively that his father had the crystal ball from OZ. How did he know this. He flew to his castle to find it. So, if he wasn’t surprised to find the crystal ball from Oz, why would he be surprised to see flying monkeys, especially if he had seen them in the movie.
But he didn’t know that his father had the ball. He knew that his father had backup plans and most likely there was something in that castle that would help him. It was when he opened the door and saw the ball that the light went off–”oh a crystal ball! I can use that to see people” As for the monkeys, I actually think this adds to the point that he hasn’t been to Oz. He was surprised to see them–thinking them only fictional. Ruby slippers and crystal balls are one thing but Neal has experience with portals (extensive knowledge in fact lol) and knows that crystal balls exist in general but flying monkeys are something that are almost too fantastical. Even Snow White doesn’t know about them.
I can understand why you see it that way RG and you could absolutely be right about it. I just don’t. I think Neal has travelled and seen many other worlds. My gut just tells me differently. 🙂

ParticipantPhee, WoW! I looked up that sight and found that particular podcast you were talking about. I LOVE how this guy Bill thinks!
Haven’t listened to podcasts since K&H have stopped theirs but I think I might start giving his site a listen. Thanks for the head’s up. 🙂
For anyone interested in hearing about Johanna and her possible involvement with Cora, have a listen here: http://www.greetingsfromstorybrooke.com/episodes/episode-19-johanna-did-it/
