ParticipantRC has admitted several times that Rumple is around 300 years old. Now, if Jane Espenson has also confirmed this, it makes Rumple being 300 canon. That timeline along with both Rumple & Bae’s ages were established over more than a year ago. Seeing as Bae gave a dob of March 21, 1977, that would make him 14 on March 21, 1991, not 15.
While crystal balls may have been common knowledge, Neal knew EXACTLY what he was looking for at his father’s castle. Sorry, but I can’t be convinced that he didn’t know something about OZ, where it had come from or the fact that his father was now in possession of it.

ParticipantWhen watching that scene between Johanna and Young Snow, Johanna looks around nervously and then spills the beans about Blue & Eva. Makes you wonder who is sneakier, Blue or Johanna.
That is probably because the Kings men were around and Eva, Johanna didn’t want them to hear. I doubt if Johanna had any other part in what is happening now.
Johanna admitted that SHE wasn’t suppose to know and she looked like a nervous Nellie afraid to get caught. I think Johanna is going to be more important to the story than anyone realizes.

ParticipantI don’t follow spoilers or forums about OUATW and tend to catch up on the series every few weeks. Did so last night and was SHOCKED by Ana’s ‘seemingly’ death.
Agree with everyone else. Fantastic episode, brilliant writing and acting (except the gal who plays Alice, I just don’t care for her).
Cora is one nasty piece of work. Just loves to corrupt goodness. She is one person who’s backstory in OUAT still hasn’t made me fond of her nor feel any compassion for her. Hopefully the next OUAT episode with her giving birth to “a” baby will help soften us up. However, I think she’s just an evil soul, like Malcolm.

ParticipantNeal knew about the Blood tie or what ever it was called, he knew about the crystal ball and how that worked. Neal is actually 200 plus years old
so for 200 years he had to be some where.Don’t know what blood magic has to do with it–we’ve only see in it the EF, nowhere else. Neal didn’t know how to use the Crystal Ball–Mulan had to instruct him how to use it because the first time he tried, it didn’t work. It was Mulan who managed to help him. Timeline wise, Neal is about 150-200. He was in NL as a 15 yr old, frozen in time, until he left and landed in our World in 1991, thus making his DOB on his wanted poster 1977.
Rumple was between 40 hen he became the Dark One. He’s admitted to being around 300 years old. So, that means his curse happened around 260 years ago. Bae was 14 at this time which means Bae is around 274 years old. Only a few months had gone by when Bae first went through the Vortex and he had only spent 6 months in Victorian England so he was still 14 when he arrived in our world, Emma’s world.
On Neals wanted poster he listed his DOB as March 21, 1977. Emma showed up as a newborn in 1983, so Neal is 6 years older than Emma which puts him @ 22 when Emma was 16.
Neal maybe didn’t know how to used the Crystal Ball but the point is that he KNEW ABOUT the Crystal Ball. Rumple only acquired that from Jefferson’s visit and that centuries after Bae had left home. So only way Neal could have known about the Crystal Ball and what it could do was from having been in OZ himself. Have to wonder how he even knew his father had it.
A blood lock was used twice. In the EF around Cora’s crypt and again in SB around Cora’s office when she and Emma were trying to smoke out Z.
Nothing has been confirmed that Neal has or hasn’t been to OZ yet.

ParticipantNeal was never in Oz. That was pretty much confirmed in 313, Witch Hunt, when he did not know about flying monkeys or that Oz was a real place.
I don’t believe that it was established that he hasn’t been to OZ. When Reggie said it was a flying monkey that attacked them, Neal said: “Ok, you’re acting like this is normal”, meaning Regina wasn’t surprised to see them in the EF. Neal could have been surprised to see them in the EF. Doesn’t mean he didn’t know about them or know about OZ.

ParticipantWe were Brewing on this theory over in chat that Neal, who is MIA at the moment is going to be portrayed as Dorothy and that is why he is lost- he is trying to find his way home. There might be a flashback of a story where Neal ends up in Oz where he meets a Young Zelena before she turns green, possibly in the ep. “Its not easy being green” that is when they fall in love, so Neal is Z’s love interest who she has lost and is now looking for, hence why she says to Rumple that she wont have to spend a lifetime searching for Neal like Rumple had to. Neal is Associated with fire- Bealfire and Z’ is with Water! Neal’s Family is Emma and Henry, like Dorothy’s aunt and uncle in ‘Wizard of Oz’ is named Emma and Henry. Then there is something with that globe- Rumple has that globe that can find people wich Neal apearantly used to find Emma. And Z’s problem with Regina is “a global one”??? I dont know if there is something to that but it just crossed my mind and puzzled me.
Love the theory but the only issue I have with this is that we’ve already seen Dorothy in Henry’s book and she was a girl. If they were to make Neal Dorothy, (they made Jack as female) then that’s a huge continuity error on the writer’s part.

ParticipantDunno if you listen to the Greetings From Storybrooke podcast, GoldenKey, but their podcast for The Queen Is Dead is titled Johanna Did It because one of the hosts thought she was totally shady. Bill’s mentioned his crack theory in a couple of more recent podcasts too, mostly joking about it, but part of his brain is still holding onto the belief that Johanna was bad. Dunno that I buy into it personally, but still, you’re certainly not alone in your Johanna suspicions.
Never heard of that podcast Phee but thanks for the head’s up as I’ll be sure to give it a listen because now I’m really curious to hear that they have to say about this. I used to listen to our podcast here but stopped once K&H came out with their own in S2.
I can’t believe Zelena only mentioned Johanna to get Snow’s trust. When I watched yesterday’s sneak peek and went back to the episode The Queen is Dead, things really started to jump out for me.
I can’t help but wonder if Johanna isn’t Z’s mother or if she wasn’t her adoptive mother (took her from Cora) and abandoned her to care for Young Snow. Something just isn’t sitting right with all of this and a babe certainly couldn’t have been left to fend for itself. Even Emma & Pino had the orphanage to help them along. K&H don’t name drop without something of more importance behind it.

ParticipantI pretty much believe with every fiber of my being right now that Eva is from Oz (the Kingdom of Ev) and that Johanna came over with her as her maid when she married Leo. I think we might see a Young Johanna along with Young Eva when she meets Young Leo
I wouldn’t be surprised if they shocked us all with Young Johanna having had a child that she abandoned to go and work for royalty. Funny that when we first meet Johanna she is playing with jewels (Young Snow’s tiara) and when we first meet Z, she is playing with Reggie’s jewels.
While I’m still leaning towards Cora & Leo being the parents, yesterday’s sneak peek sure made me put Johanna on the list of suspects.

ParticipantHm interesting Golden Key. I did always wonder about Johanna telling Snow in private, and yet somehow Cora knew Snow was seeking out the BF. Did Eva ever have the BF’s ear or was it all a Cora trick from the start?

ParticipantAm I the only one who thinks that when he drinks it, it makes him hallucinate/deep sleep, hence the weird Emma dream in the promo?
No, you aren’t. 🙂 The promo sure did feel like a dream sequence. Maybe it’s really “poppy” tea that makes him sleepy……. like when Dorothy and the gang, feel asleep in the poppy fields. 🙂
