Participant@Faux Pax, gee thanks for the compliment 🙂 Rest assured, I’m still Team Frankie. I’m not big on Whale being Pan, only saying that it wouldn’t surprise me.
@Faux Pax & Kalliopkisees, I was always under the impression that Jefferson was the White Rabbit. He jumps portals/realms and guides many through them. Dual FT personality just like Rumple/Beast and Red/Big Bad Wolf.
I desperately want to see MRJ turn out to be Bae. Certainly seems like he’ll be Henry’s father though. Too coincidental that they played Lou Reed’s Charley’s Girl during the intro. The song is all about a gal who turned them into the cops for drugs most likely. Sound anything like a pretty bail bondsman we know?
PS how do you blackout portions of your posts that could be spoilers?

Rumple always has said that Bae was “lost” like a Lost Boy from Peter Pan, so it’s possible he’s either Peter or one of the Lost Boys, with another character being Peter himself (Dr. Whale perhaps?)
I’ve been on Dr. Whale being Dr. Frank for quite some time now and have posted tons of stuff about it based on research Gypsy and I have done. I’ve also been theorizing about Bae being Peter Pat since last Feb. However, here’s the thing about Dr. Whale being Peter Pan. It wouldn’t surprise me. Here are clues that lead me in that direction.
1) Peter was could never be physically touched. The ladies loved Peter (Wendy, Tiger Lllly & Tinkerbell). How ironic that Dr. Whale is the one crazy about the ladies?
2) The Greek God Pan could be quite lecherous. Sound like Dr. Whale? God complex?
3) Peter was always the victor against hook. He also felt misunderstood as no one understood why he didn’t ever want to grow up.
4) Inflated sense of self. Well in the broadway musical, there is a song titled I’ve Gotta Crow. In it, he’s boasting about how wonderful he is.
5) In the movie Finding Neverland, J.M. Barrie says to a young Peter Llewelyn, “Write about your family, write about the talking whale” “What whale?” “The one that is trapped in your imagination and desperate to get out”.
6) He did seem like a young adolescent when asking if nuns date, did he not?
7) Disney is planning on re-releasing Peter Pan and recently did a poll asking people which rock singer best suited Peter Pan. The answer? You guessed it, Sting. (dating video listens to sting).
Have a few more things that sort of tie him in to Peter Pan, but you can see where I’m going with this.
So yeah, wouldn’t be surprised to see Dr. Whale as Peter however, number one theory is still Dr. Franky and hoping that my Bae/Peter Pan theory pans out 😉

ParticipantSlurpeez, that’s great! Thanks!
Gypsy, funny how fast something you’ve researched and quoted gets around on the net. “I’m a hell of a doctor, huh?” is everywhere! LOL!

The other odd thing in the room is what looks like Ham Radio equipment?
Or pirate radio equipment 🙂
Ursula, that is brilliant!!!! Always thought & hoped that Bae was Peter Pan. Who better to have pirate radio equipment? 🙂

ParticipantCouldn’t agree more Slurpeez! What a way to kick off the season! We’re getting so much in the first 9 episodes. How on earth will they top it after Christmas? So excited about Tallahassee!

Just curious as to what made you think of Dr. Whale saying “I’m a hell of a doctor” and how do you feel it relates to the Frankenstein theory?
A suggestion was put forth to you that you might want to check out the forum for existing threads containing the same subject line. Had you been interested in what others, here on this board, have to say on the subject, you would have found more information regarding this theory as well as the link to the promo in question.

ParticipantI always thought that Jefferson was the White Rabbit as he’s the one that guides everyone through to different realms. Sort of like how Ruby is both Red/Big Bad Wolf & Gold is both Rumple/Beast.

Awesome. Now all that’s left to know is how soon Baelfire will be making his re-appearance. Can anybody dig up the transcript where the writers state that Bae would definitely come back in season 2? Was there any tip-off that he would be coming back early or later on in the season? I’m just trying to put two and two together. 😆
They haven’t actually stated that we’d meet Bae. They’ve stated that we’d find out what happened to Bae this season.

It might have been Gold. He did mention having to make a trip, so that makes me think he already knew where Bae was (i refuse he is anyone else until i hear otherwise on the show) but the question that leaves was how would Bae know about the curse. The way MRJ played it, he knew what the word meant but Gold didn’t get his memory back until Emma got there.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Bae could have found out about the curse from either AWB or Jefferson.
AWB was living out in the real world for 28 years and had his memory intact. He could have easily come in contact with Bae and relayed what happened.
Jefferson was a realm jumper. I also believe that Bae went to many other worlds prior to arriving in the real world. That’s why the Blue Fairy told him to follow the bean, wherever it led him. I’m certain the two of them have crossed paths.
Another thing I’ve wondered about. Do you think that perhaps that apartment may have been AWB’s apartment? He liked old things. His bike & typewriter as an example. Wondering if perhaps they roomed together?
