I am of the opinion that there is another story to tell, but it’s a matter of finding the right time to tell it. Grumpy, while beloved, is more of a minor character so squeezing another episode of his in, would have to fit with the overall major storyline/characters.
Hopefully you’re right and it’s not just an oversight. We can’t abide oversights.

ParticipantThis may be a silly question, and pardon me if it’s been asked and answered before, but when Snow and Grumpy meet in prison he tells her a story about being framed for stealing a diamond he meant to use to propose. We know that he broke things off with Nova before things got to that level (and just returned to work normally after that) so who is this girl he supposedly wanted to marry? And why would he get romantically entangled after walking away from his true love?
Or are we just to assume that he made up the story? He seemed so heartfelt- it’s surprising he’d come up with such a complex lie rather than a “Killed a guy in Wonderland just to watch him die” sort of thing.

ParticipantI think one of my summer projects to help pass the time until the new season will be to make test recipes for some of these. (I’m actually a cook so testing recipes is often a part of my job. It will be fun to use my powers for fandom.)

ParticipantIt took me a while to think of an answer that was apt, but I think I’ve finally got one.
At first, I didn’t really find myself identifying strongly with any of the characters- definitely none of the major ones. There were of course elements in different characters that I could see in myself, but I think that any sufficiently developed cast should be full of people that resonate with a viewer on some level. But I’m not as heroic as Snow, not as damaged as Emma, nor am I as completely optimistic as Belle or as gutsy as Ruby. Then I realized I was looking in all the wrong places. ^_^;;
Turns out, if I’m like anyone in Storybrooke, I’m probably like Archie. I don’t think I ever made a conscious effort towards that- but I am definitely the “rock steady” member of pretty much all of my social circles (work/friends/clubs etc). I’m the one that people (even those I’m not particularly close to) end up coming to to talk about their problems, even if all they want is someone to listen- and not actually give advice. And, to be honest, I don’t give out a lot of advice. I’m one of those people that tries really hard to see all sides of an issue, even the ones I don’t agree with at first glance. I’ve often remarked that I’m “bad at having opinions”, but I’m the person to come to if you want something explained from every angle so you can make your own decision. (In the “five man band’ trope, I’m usually the lancer or backup to the hero.)
So yeah… chirp chirp!

Participant^_^;; Yeah I think it was too much for me to keep track of. But I do like a lot of the older series! I’m a big fan of Magic Knight Rayearth and Rg Veda. More recently (although not *that* recently) I also really liked Suki.

ParticipantYou have me wondering how Regina’s actions might have differed if she knew about the prophecy. I think she would have dispensed with the cruel game that is Lacey and would have taken more direct action. She may have just absconded with Henry and explained the prophecy to him, leaving the Charmings and Gold with a lot of questions. Perhaps then Gold would come clean about the prophecy, although it’s not like him to come forth with information unless he has to.
I can imagine that sequence of events coming to a dramatic climax where Regina lets loose some kind of magic, Gold intercepts in before it harms Henry and then loses his own magic somehow and Regina has to run away with the terrible truth that she nearly harmed the one person she loves.
I kind of like the idea of having Gold be the amnesiac for a change. Maybe he doesn’t actually lose his magic, but he forgets that he has it, and is therefore incapable of using it.

ParticipantMy love of “Fables” has me wanting the frog prince to show up, but the incarnation of the Disney characters in that story didn’t do a lot for me. This had me wondering something, however- how would the OUAT world reconcile characters like Tiana who come from a “real world” place? I’m pretty sure New Orleans is specifically named in that movie. Does that just strike her outright from the realm of possibilities?
I’d like to see the Pied Piper show up. Perhaps he’s the one that leads the boys to Neverland in the first place. Maybe he plays the PAN pipes? Haha… get it? Ha.haha…. uh… I’ll show myself out.

It would be fascinating to see Rumple and Regina without magic but with full knowledge (in terms of being able to talk about that with others) of who they are. They knew who they were in S1 but no one else did. Belle (as Belle) is a big part of the picture for Rumple, just as Henry is for Regina. But it will tell a much more involved/complex story if they don’t rely on the “good” people in their lives to motivate them, but instead make those decisions on their own, especially if there is the temptation to try and get their magic back.
What if season 3 had the characters in some unfamiliar territory (say Neverland or such) and neither Regina nor Rumple had magic- but Regina (and any followers/help she has) are trying to gain it while Rumple/Charmings/etc are trying to keep it out of her hands. Then we get to have a fun moment where everyone questions whether Rumple is really trying to keep if from her, or claim it for himself. Mwahaha.
