ParticipantI’m sure this theory has already been posed, but maybe “this isn’t my first stop” just refers to Manhattan? Since he landed in London? So still technically true even if a bit wonky.

I don’t know if she’s a specific fairy tale character but Adam and Eddy have said in a few places that she is a nod to the film/book: One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, as is the creepy janitor in the basement.
That was wholly unexpected. XD
Augh… I was hoping the janitor was someone really awesome. But I think that’s just my old Fables fangirl showing.

I kinda hope we never get a first name for Mr. Gold. There’s no way it could be epic enough. I mean, it’s a little like the thing August showed Neal–it was cooler before the reveal. I want the curse to have never given him a first name.
I don’t think it did. It’s a nod to the original Rumple story.
To be quite honest, I was surprised how liberally they thew his name around in FTL. Sure, people called him the Dark One but we never even had a hint that he *tried* to keep his name a secret at any point. It seemed more like “The Dark One” is an honorific or a way to avoid saying the name than anything else. The pilot made a big deal about names giving power over another, but nothing seems to have come of that either. Since Ella’s tale was as close to the original Rumplestiltskin story, I don’t imagine we’ll ever see a name game.

ParticipantI agree, AngieBelle – I think this is a fantastic opportunity to develop Belle as well as several of the other characters that haven’t been in the spotlight lately. Actually, there were several doors left wide open, and it would be remiss of the writers to ignore them!
First off, the bean plant in Regina’s office is still alive. Tiny is still in Storybrooke. With all of the magic wielding and volatile people out of town, there’s no reason why another crop couldn’t be cultivated from that plant. There is still an opportunity for beans to be produced!
That being said, we have a lot of talented people in Storybrooke. The Blue Fairy is still around, as are all of the dwarves, Dr. Whale, Granny Lucas, etc etc. While rebuilding the town and protecting it are going to be a priority, a power vacuum has been created. Who is in charge now? BF? Archie? Belle? Are they all going to be satisfied while those they care about (Snow, Charming, Emma, Rumple) are all about to go to a dangerous place? Doubtful!
Also- perhaps some telltale dialogue. We were all very sad to hear Belle say “You aren’t coming back to me” but you know what that means? She’s just going to have to go to him.
So maybe we get Tiny to grow some beans, Belle to figure out where the ship went, the dwarves to build a vessel to travel in and Blue Fairy to magic it up. Whale can prepare some science to battle “the home office” crew. Let’s get this party started!

ParticipantI also miss Whale. After the big reveal, my husband (a scientist with a penchant for rayguns) was super excited, and we were both really hoping to see more of him. I guess he sort of fell by the wayside. I’m actually hoping that while the main story of S3 will be in Neverland, we’ll get to cut to FTL and Storybrooke to see how “the other guys” are doing. I really love underdog stories, so it would be great to see other characters pull together and make something big happen. ^_^

ParticipantI do wish Tamara would stop dropping words like “unholy” and other sort of… religiously leaning bits into her explanation. The organization/mission is already sort of weak and undeveloped and that sort of dialogue just sort of makes me (and I imagine many viewers) sort of roll their eyes because it seems like a cop out. If you’re going to play the “religious backing” card, you need to support it with a back story. Otherwise it just seems like a throwaway.

ParticipantI still think that Henry is the boy (the prophecy said a “young” boy, and while PP may qualify as a boy, he’s certainly not young) but that we may come to find that “what you seek” wasn’t just Bae, but something else entirely. I am both glad that we get to see the prophecy explained in its fully glory (rather than a rush job) but I’m certainly left hungry and wanting more!

ParticipantOh boy. I like this thread already. XD
Colin: I can’t get enough of this guy and his scruff!
Josh: I won’t bat my lashes when your beard grows in patches.
RC: I don’t really care, just let me touch that hair!(Actually, it’s weird. Bearded RC reminds me a little of my husband… I’m suddenly stoked for him to be 50 something. Lol. Wonder if I can get him to grow his hair out…)

ParticipantI like the connection between the Dark One and PP, but I don’t think it’s that he is the original Dark One, but perhaps he created the Dark One’s Curse? It just seems like it would break a lot of rules for the power to have left PP without him dying.
Actually, we may be making a jump from assuming PP is in charge. What if he is the “dragon” (tough and strong guard dog for the real power) and the real power is Tinkerbelle?
