ParticipantHaha. Funny you should mention that. I thought it was hilarious that in the initial reactions podcast they likened it to the chocolate diamonds that were being aggressively marketed during the episode. XD

ParticipantI’m kind of keeping it simple (it’s been… a long week) but I am going to try and test out a new recipe. I’ll take photos and if it goes well I’ll share them here. 🙂

ParticipantMy husband is really in to tabletop gaming, so we have a closet full of boardgames.
We have Betrayal At House on the Hill, Aye Dark Overlord, Citadels, some Munchkins and Small World of the games mentioned.
I used to really enjoy Apples to Apples until I got caught with a group of people who would not stop the game until “Sean Connery” had been played. It was at the very, very, bottom of the box. The game lasted three hours. I can’t even tell you how “over it” I was. I haven’t played it since. ~_~;;;
Other games I have enjoyed (I’m a bit of a casual gamer, the boy is more hardcore) include BANG! and Gloom. We also got some superhero themed games, one of which I haven’t tested out (It’s based on the marvel universe, I think it’s called “legendary” or something).In August, we’re heading to Indianapolis for Gen-Con which is a massive 40,000 person gaming convention. Whee!

ParticipantAha, we have this game (and a bajillion others… haha…^_^7) and it can be a lot of fun if your group is creative and “plays it right”. There are also blank cards, and we had a lot of fun coming up with words for those (as well as the pictures).

ParticipantI think you’re right that most likely the cursed dagger wouldn’t allow Rumple to die by his own hands. Interesting territory to play in, though.
I don’t know if I’d site Zoso’s actions are necessarily a flawless litmus test. Zoso definitely wanted to die. This is evident because he goaded Rumple into stabbing him. Why not take the dagger and stab himself? Well, possibly a combination of vindictiveness and also an attempt to give Rumple the tool he’d promised him. (He was also in Rumple’s control, and since Rumple had worked so hard to get the dagger, he wasn’t about to hand it over and let Zoso do whatever he liked with it.) The Duke may also have ordered him not to steal it, so he couldn’t retrieve it himself.
I think you’re right, mind you- I just think if one wanted, there are some other possibilities to explore in Zoso’s motivation in that scene.

ParticipantI don’t really know enough about how television ratings and renewals work which is why I tend to stay away from discussion about that sort of thing. There are so many people here (like yourself) who seem to be really familiar with how networks operate so I definitely bow to your greater experience.
The only reason I talk about things like “last seasons” is just because I think the writers are trying to do right by the audience, and while they would always want to leave things open ended and the audience wanting more, television can be full of uncertainty. Funding could somehow drop out, a pivotal actor could be in an accident and unable to resume their role, etc etc. I only mean to speak from a perspective of trusting the show’s creators and writers to come up with seasonal endings that make narrative sense for the sake of the audience.

ParticipantHmm, good point MysterKat. Since Frankenstein was left out that heavily implies that whoever wrote the book was from FTL. They’re probably also unaware of Neverland and Bae’s adventures there.
Ahaha- time travel is fun. You know how we’ve been wondering how on earth Henry ended up being the one adopted by Regina? What if adult-time-travel Henry is the one who Gold contacted about procuring a boy, and made sure infant Henry was the boy he got?

ParticipantYou raise a good point, Keb. Rumplestiltskin has the powers of a seer and maybe other things. Even if he lost the curse, he may still retain those powers. It would be kind of interesting to see Rumple go from manipulative power player to oracle. (It would also free up some free time for his love life. ::smirk:: )

ParticipantAhaha! I had never linked Belle’s time in the tavern to Lacey’s drinking. XD
