Wow. I knew I was holding on when I shouldn’t be, but … I guess TV Line put paid to that.
Guys, this might sound silly, but anyone want to have a … wake of sorts … of our own? All log in at a certain point some evening this week and raise a toast?
To Neal and how it should have been.

And death shall have no dominion.”
-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantThat’s good to know in a strange sort of way. He really did dance around it. That just might be being the classy sorta guy he is. But …
Sure, he said Neal’s “death” was bold. But Rumple “died” too. And the Blue Fairy.
And they did say a death (besides Rumple’s) would be reversed. They cited the whole “shadow” thing.
Sigh.
“Let it go, let it gooooo … you’ll never see me cry ….”

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipant*hums “Let It Go”*
I still think his wording was interesting with the “stay tuned” … twice. And noting he wasn’t fired. And Adam’s statement on hoping to work with him again.
But I’m grasping at straws and I admit it. I’ll let it go.

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantUgh. I almost hate to keep doing this … but did you notice he said “Stay tuned” … TWICE?
Interesting choice.

“Though lovers be lost love shall not;

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantALSO, I canNOT believe that they didn’t hype this as a death show. Why not?! That is where the ratings come in. People who’ve left come back for that type of stuff. The silence only begs conjecture at this point.
Absolutely no build up to his death + no exit interview = MRJ wanted off and ABC is trying to keep it hush hush
And in a way that makes things even worse because … I don’t know about you guys, but I had this picture in my head of a very close, very fun-loving cast that genuinely liked each other and working together. And this blows that all to heck.
Could ABC tell the ENTIRE cast not to tweet? Would they listen? Ugh.

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantIf anyone ever does say anything on Twitter will someone report it here? I need to get back to work even though my heart’s not in it. 🙁
The silence is weird. Either a lot of people involved with the show are also unhappy about all this or something even odder is going on. Or maybe I’m just grasping at straws. Sigh.
Put the OUAT season 1 DVD set on our yard-sale pile today. Can’t imagine wanting to see it again at this point.
I just keep turning it over and it just makes no sense. All I can think is MRJ wanted out and A&E cut him loose in the most petty, lousy way ever.

“Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion.”
-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantAnd the whole “OK, Emma winds up with Hook by default” thing … oh please, NO. Like she’s a prize to be won. I would have been more OK with both of them wooing Emma and her picking Hook than them killing off Neal and handing her off to Hook like so much booty. I hope she just walks away and says screw romance for the time being.
Although frankly I’ve lost my respect for Emma too with the whole thing with Henry’s memories. The kid’s father DIED without their son remembering him and that’s something she’ll never be able to give him back. BIG MISTAKE, Emma. If I’m Henry, I never, EVER forgive her this.
I agree with others that something stinks to high heaven about this whole thing. I don’t know if MRJ was really unhappy so they just plain wrote him out, but something … SOMETHING … needs to be said about how this was handled. Because it was just sloppy and disrespectful to the actors and the fans. Such a wealth of story over and out in one lousy @#*%^#*& episode.
Argh.
{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}} to everyone.

“Though lovers be lost love shall not;

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantI can’t believe I’m even on here. Habits are hard to break, I guess.
But … I thought the radio silence from Twitter and the … seeming conjecture … of that article were odd too. I tell myself not to have hope, but it seems I’m too stupid to quit.
They did say a death would be reversed a while ago. And I don’t think they meant Rumple — They invoked the shadow thing. This isn’t a shadow … but …
Ugh. I need to stop.
MRJ’s been so great and gracious to his fans I find it hard to believe he’d be silent, even if everyone else was.
The whole thing was just WRONG.

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantHey, I wanted to just walk away but couldn’t.
I didn’t comment all that often, but just wanted to say I’ve really, really enjoyed reading everything here. I don’t think I’m continuing with the show. I really can’t take it. They stomped on everything I thought it was about. How do you go on from that? I work in the news business, I see all the worst there is to offer on a daily basis. OUAT was a way to see some happy endings. And that’s gone. I can’t even respect Emma in the slightest anymore with the decisions she made this episode.
But you’re a bunch of great, creative people. And I wanted to say that. I wish every single one of you well.

“Though lovers be lost love shall not;

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantYeah, I’m done. Not something I care to watch anymore. Plenty of pain in real life. I don’t need it in entertainment.
It has been wonderful chatting with you all.[\spoiler]
