I agree utterly with lunatiger. It just doesn’t make sense.
Actually, I’ve been wondering lately if they really will pull a fast one. The title of the penultimate episode, “Snow Drifts,” made me worry about Snow. But after consideration, I truly wonder if Charming might not be in more danger.
Maybe Snow is in grave danger. (Frankly, I think the WW wants a child and is going to go after her and the baby.) I could see Charming going out in a heroic act to save Snow, the baby, his daughter Emma, his grandson and/or even his daughter’s true love, Neal. (Especially since we’ve been seeing in spoilers for the next episode that the WW just might have something against Charming as well. And maybe even Neal.) It would give Snow a hell of a storyline next season. And it would give Emma a further reason to acknowledge that sometimes you need to step up and say “I love you” to the person you care about, especially when you never know how much time you will have with that person. Heart-wrenching, oh yes. But a death that MEANS something.
And I think that Charming, if he knew it was going to save his family, would consider his happily ever after well spent.
OK, back to your regularly scheduled shipping. 🙂

Some of them are better than others, but all are recognizable and the ones that are on … are SPOT on.
Dug and Scuttle cracked me up. 🙂

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantIs it just me, or is there more sanity in Rumple’s eyes than we were led to believe from the last episode? I’m looking particularly at the fifth Rumple one down. It’s hard to tell with static pictures, but …
And, oooohhh, that man’s eyes … 😀

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantI was talking to a friend who’s an OUAT fan today and she was exclaiming over the sisters reveal. “I NEVER saw that coming!” And she was flabbergasted by Rumple being alive.
Just goes to show we’re all a little crazy, I guess. 🙂

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantI agree! I think if they just … let Hook be Hook … the character could really grow on me.
“To me Emma and Hook should be a BROTP, best friends who yell and snip at each other and solve crimes. They go out for a beer afterwards, Hook goes home with the bar maid and Emma goes home to Neal.”
Oh, I would watch that show! 😀

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantAll right, tried to do spoiler tags. No luck. 😛 What am I doing wrong?
Also, I hate to bring “the other ship” into it, but to me, the popularity of Hook just embodies the whole “style over substance” thing. OK, he’s hot. He’s also arrogant and has done some really rotten things that he’s never paid for. (Whereas Neal has done nothing BUT pay.)
I wouldn’t mind his story so much if people didn’t automatically assume he’d “get the girl.” Solely because he’s attractive and wants her, apparently. Really makes my stomach churn.
If THAT wins out over Swanfire … ehhhh …

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantI agree with the above posters. (Especially Artseediva on CS.) It would make me look at the show in an entirely different way, and I’m not so sure that way will be something I want to continue to follow.
I like the sense of hope that has always pervaded OUAT. That would stomp it into the dust for me. Would I continue to watch? Maybe for story purposes. But I wouldn’t care as much and that probably means I’d just … drift away.

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantI have a small headcanon going that says we’ll find Zelena tailored the “Walsh” disguise for one of her minions specifically to be a bit reminiscent of Neal. (I like this even more with the line Emma uttered about flying monkeys in this past episode. Heh.) She knew they was what would draw Emma (and Henry) in.
I’ll go further and say that’s because she’s working with Neal … SHE thinks. He’s playing her. Using those ol’ con artist wiles to make her think he’s helping while he plays the long con of getting Emma and Henry (and Rumple) back.
(And I think Hook knows/thinks he knows that Neal’s working with the WW or has gone dark somehow. I think that’s what he’s keeping from Emma. I’m no fan of Hook, but he’s not stupid. He knows how Emma will react if he — of all people! — tries to tell her Neal’s gone bad.)

The two things have more in common than you’d think. 🙂

I don’t tweet too much about OUAT; be warned that I work for a newspaper and tend to tweet/retweet our stories, especially features stuff from my section. Not too much, though! I’m more inclined to tweet funny kid stories and geekery and cookie photos.
We’re not big enough to be able to get the OUAT media previews, etc., more’s the pity. 😀
