There is so much here that makes sense. It hurts to have hope!
I’m uncertain what to do Sunday. I’d never have been able to watch two hours straight through anyway. (Small house, one TV, two small boys, husband who works nights.) And since 0315, I haven’t even trying to distract the kids long enough to watch, just reading the IMDb recaps and then trying to poke my head into the chat to vent with everyone else. 🙂
Does anyone know if the Canadian airing is still at 6 p.m. Sunday? So that if anything miracle-related happens, I can actually try to watch?

“And maybe, I’ll find out, a way to make it back some day,
To watch you, to guide you, through the darkest of your days,
If a great wave shall fall, yeah, fall upon us all,
Well, I hope there’s someone out there who can bring me back to you!”…

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantI need to contribute to the dance party. But I’m totally ’80s girl when it comes to music.
So: “Time After Time” (Cyndi Lauper), “I’m No Angel” (Greg Allman Band), “Alone” (Heart), “Faithfully” (Journey), “Midnight Blue” (Lou Gramm), “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” (The Police) and “Something Happened On the Way to Heaven” (Phil Collins)
And “I Will Not Go Quietly” by Don Henley (which must be one of our anthems!)
“I’m brave enough to be crazy
I’m strong enough to be weak
I see all these heroes with feet of clay
Whose mighty ships (HA!) have sprung a leak
And I want you to tell me darlin’
Just what do you believe in now?”---

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantHeather, you can TOTALLY join me on the Bridge of Optimism. We need a whole crew. Who wants to be science officer? Helmsman? Security? Engineer?
These are the voyages of the starship SwanFire.
This could be an impressively warped (ha!) fanfic.

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantI’m just hanging out here on the Bridge of Hope. *nods* Communications officer Lt. OnionGirl of the Starship U.S.S. SwanFire, that’s me.
Typing out my supposed way the “TV fan” websites tend to show this stuff just cemented it for me. I see no reason whatsoever A&E were going for CS. Now, maybe something happened they wrote MJR out or he wanted to leave … but no one has uncovered any sort of reputable reason to believe that.
So I’m on the Bridge of Hope until proven otherwise.
They’ve said Neal is dead. They didn’t say that couldn’t be changed.
JMO said they’ve missed MRJ and his family. Well, if he filmed everything earlier (which could include a surprise return in the finale), he would have been gone earlier. So they’d miss him! (Until filming starts again. 😉 )
Everyone used fairly evasive language, including MRJ.
And Capt. Kirk says so. 🙂
Reporting for duty, Captain!

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantI’m staying here on the Bridge of Optimism with Capt. Kirk, uh, Shatner. I still think it could happen. I’m believing that until proven otherwise.
As far as the “the TV reviews who basically want to sell papers so they promote CS” … *moves SF hat over, puts on reporter/editor hat.*
I have nearly 17 years in the press, albeit small/medium dailies as opposed to the big guns. (We did used to get press releases, etc., from the major networks before they cut our entertainment section down to nothing. Boo.) I can honestly say most writers get pretty stabby if told or even suggested to that they write something “to sell papers.” In all that time, I’ve written (or assigned, once I hit editorhood) stories because I thought they were good stories, never to sell anything. I won’t say it NEVER happens, but it’s not as common as people tend to believe. (Or newspapers would probably be doing better. Sigh. Oh, ethics.)
However, the two things cited a few pages ago are purely websites, as far as I can tell. They don’t really have much of a leg to stand on as far as professional journalism standards go. (I’m old school and I’m sure it’s showing! 🙂 ) They are totally gunning for clicks and little else. And think about it. I can see the thought process.
“The main character is in love with this … Baelfire? What the heck’s a “Baelfire?” And yeah, he’s good looking and MRJ is a great actor but … how many people is that going to bring in? He’s not even pursuing her, he’s giving her space? Really?”
“Ooooh, yeah, but what about a love triangle? There’s this new character! OMG, it’s Capt. Hook! I KNOW WHO THAT IS! And he’s a HOT CAPT. HOOK! Wow! That will get people looking! HOT CAPT. HOOK!”
Ahem.
I’m sure it’s a fine distinction to make, but I needed to make it. 🙂 Carry on.

I mean, you just *imagine* what the reaction would be? 😀
If that’s wrong, I don’t wanna be right.

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantI was sure it would be a dream sequence … until I watched it. No, waayy too elaborate.
Ugh. I feel like all that Rumple redemption is going to be thrown away (because of Neal, who would never, EVER want that, not in a million years). I really hope they don’t go there.
