The Pinocchio sneak peek is interesting. Especially since I was at a used book sale today with my son and when we were browsing through the children’s books, I found a copy of the Disney “Pinocchio.” 😀
I read through it and, lo and behold, at the end (after Monstro has spit ’em out), they’re in the water and Gepetto yells at Pinocchio to save himself. (Rather like the SP, although the timing’s different.) Pinocchio refuses and drags Gepetto to safety, then when Gepetto wakes up, he finds Pinocchio on the shore, lifeless. 🙁 He picks him up, weeping .. and that’s when he turns into a real boy. Which looks very familiar considering some of the leaked photos.
Yeah, I think this is going to be good. I bet I’m going to cry. Especially if it all ends like I’m imaging. 😉

I know some people took that to mean that The Blue Fairy told him. However …
What if it was Tink? 😀 (If Bae is, after all, Peter Pan.) The writers have that way of messing with our expectations.

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantI’m calling that The Blue Fairy has an agenda we don’t know about yet. And it’s not necessarily good for the denizens of Storybrooke.

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantI guess I just don’t see what’s so bad about it. I mean, they turned annoying Disney Snow White into a butt-kicking renegade and no one has a problem with that.
I think turning the cutsy Disney Pinocchio into August would be kind of awesome. 🙂 If he also was sent to our world 28 years ago, he’s had nearly three decades to turn into his own person … a writer, a motorcycle aficienado, a person who’s spent all the time away from his beloved parent and his very world, a person who might have known that he could, one day, be killed by the curse’s effects, a person who knows exactly who to blame for the curse (Regina and Rumple). A man who knows perfectly well that this world he’s in thinks FTL and its people are nothing but silly stories for children. And he’s the only one who knows otherwise.
Cutsy, heck. I think that Pinocchio couldn’t be blamed for taking names and kicking butt.

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantI definitely think she’s up to something. Still considering theories. 😆
She had a lot to do with things getting to where they are in Storybrooke (one might even say she was instrumental in the creation of the curse … as well as its escape clause) and I’m wondering what her goal is. I’m thinking it’s not necessarily the same as the “humans” in SB/FTL.
We might be looking at a long con here. I mean, if you were “the original power,” “bigger than anything” and you were in a situation were you were looked on mostly as a helpful little flutterby by all these big, galumphing, mostly magic-less humans … well, you might be looking to get a bit back of your own. 😉

Maybe it’s a good thing Belle vanished. 😯 You know?

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantHair that color is going to make people notice you, no matter what. And I think the last thing August would want is to stand out!
Hmm. Odd thought. Did anyone catch the name of the girl Bae was talking to, the one who told him about the Blue Fairy?
