Good lord, I hate her. More than Pan, even.

“Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion.”
-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantWell, I wrote it in a span of a few hours. Haven’t wrote fanfic or fiction of any kind in nearly 20 years. It was very cathartic. It’s not very long, just the long side of a vignette.
I have no desire to post it to anything like fanfiction.net (let’s be honest, it’s just wish fulfillment and a desire to rewrite history), but I wouldn’t mind sharing it if anyone HERE is interested. Let me know if you know a good way to do that. About 1,600 words.
Called “Over the Rainbow.”
Does the “attachment” link under the reply box work for word docs? If not, well there have been novel length posts before, so you could just copy, paste and post it. If you do that, make sure the reply box is set to “Text” mode (top right corner of the reply box) before you paste the text in, because that way it shouldn’t add all the stupid html that “Visual” mode tends to do.
I will try after work. I want to give it another read. Wrote it really fast.
Haven’t done that in a long time.

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantLike others, I was considering the finale title and what “home” might mean to Emma if she, say, got ahold of a powerful magical artifact (such as a pair of shoes …) that would allow her to change everything to go “home.” And I could see the last shots of the episode with Emma and Henry eating breakfast in the apartment … and then Neal emerges from another room and joins them. Stunner! Emma kisses him; Henry smiles. And then there’s a knock at the door … they look up … fade to black.
I just can’t this out of my head. I might write fanfic for the first time in, oh, 18 years or so just to get it out there.
You know what else they could do with this scenario? They could address the whole “horrible things” happening if Neal stays with Emma thing. Because if Emma’s heart notion of “home” is a normal life with Neal and Henry, and she gets that … that knock on the door of which I wrote could be a harbinger of those things.
A real reset. A …. shall I say it? … real LOST twist.
I may have to write this. At least a vignette.

If we can consider one “Harry Potter” direction, why not another? What if that’s not Zelena? What if that’s Belle with her own version of Polyjuice potion? (If anyone could do it, she could!)
I’m trying to make that notion work with the text …

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantAh. I thought it might be something else.
That pic … I almost … UGH, I don’t want to have hope anymore, but it does make you wonder … sigh.
I mean, look at all the stuff they pulled with “Lost” …
It’s almost worse to have that niggling little suspicion. I can’t just let go.

“Though lovers be lost love shall not;

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantPromo pic? I’m almost afraid to ask …
Still turning everything around and I tried to explain to a casual-viewer friend why I’m so upset. In one line: It felt like they suddenly decided they had to get rid of him.
So they did.
OOC, abrupt, inexplicable. And brutal to the supposed theme of hope.
I still don’t get it.
I can’t help but have that niggling little sense that it really isn’t over, but I can admit my “evidence” isn’t the greatest.

I suppose A&E have had more amazing twists with their shows, but I figure I probably want this one too much.

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantJust poked my nose in before work to see if anyone was still interested in doing a Nealfire toast at 10 p.m. EST today. Maybe in the chatroom?
I just found out today is the National Day of Hope. Which just sounds like a real kick in the teeth until you realize it’s for child abuse awareness. Thinking about the character, it seems appropriate. (Still a kick in the teeth, though.)
(Rumple is one of my favorite characters. But he’s had a lot to pay for.)

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantOK. You know, I hadn’t cried yet. I was angry. But I didn’t cry.
This made me cry.

-- Dylan ThomastheoniongirlParticipantI want to see her annihilate Zelena. ANNIHILATE. I want to see her get right to the edge of going full-on dark.
And then look at the swan pendant and … well, you know my headcanon there.
Sigh.
