Is Mal a fairy?
Is Jane a fairy?
Is Jay a genie?
Is Queen Leah over a century old? Because Audrey said she shouldn’t talk to Mal unless she wanted to take another “hundred year nap”.
How does Mal know what wifi is if she has never had it? Why would she even miss it? She’s been on the isle her whole life afterall.
Isn’t bringing the villains back to life just to imprison them kind of evil?
Why is everyone so afraid of Maleficent? She has no magic? What makes her the HFIC if she is technically on equal ground with everyone else. I know from the book (I read the first chapter) she still has her minions but still, why do they obey her? She can’t give them anything or punish them.
Did the barrier ever get back up and running?
If Mal grew up on the isle her whole life…and the isle has no magic…..how does she know how to use it?
Maybe I am thinking too hard about a kids film.

About Jane: I disagree. I think Jane and what she was going through is pretty believable. In Auradon prep, the top dogs are the children of royals who look and dress really nice and will one day become kings and queens themselves. Jane on the other hand, doesn’t dress like they do. Her hair isn’t as well done as theirs, shes really shy, and she really has no social standing with them because Fairy Godmother is just the principal (right?) not a royal and she (and Jane) don’t even use magic. Jane is on the same level as Doug who also didn’t hang with the “cool kids”. I can believe the other kids don’t want to hang around her because….well, she doesn’t really fit in with them. She’s not apart of their “clique”. How does getting new hair fix that? New hair made her more like the others and made them more interested in her than they were before. It gave her a personality boost as well. I don’t agree with changing urself to fit in with others, but I get it and I’ve seen it happen.
As for the kids having major attitude issues despite being raised by the classics, We all know those types. Just cause the parents were one way does not mean the child will be the same which is kind of the point of the movie. Aurora, for example, grew up as a peasant before she became a princess. Audrey grew up with a golden spoon in her mouth. And she will one day be queen. And shes the most popular girl dating the most popular guy who will be the next king of the entire united states of auradon so chances are she will be the QUEEN OF AURADON. I can see why she would be less than “nice” to those she doesn’t see on her level especially to villains. And isn’t Audrey kind of justified? Maleficent did try to kill her mom. And Mal was raised by Maleficent. And Mal did use magic to steal her bf. I’d be pretty miffed too.

And then there’s Ben who was drugged by Mal and ended up falling in love with her anyway, even though he knew about–what amounts to–a date rape drug (dude, you went on ONE DATE and you tell Mal you love her and want to give her a ring?? Clingy much?)

Oh I agree about the love potion thing. He should have been furious not confessing his love. And that makes me even wonder, did he even care about Audrey? Like dude? REALLY?????

But I think we can all agree Kristin Chenoweth hands down owned this movie! And Evil Like Me was just awesome! Right? RIGHT?!!! *prepares to throws kittens at all who say otherwise*

I read the first chapter of Isle Of The Lost last night. It was sweet. I also loved that they explain that some of the villains were BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE just to have them imprisoned on the island. That is just evil lol.
And also are they really making a series? My sister was rambling on and on about a cartoon Descendants but I assumed she was talking about a game or some online thing or something. If they are that might be exciting.
And thanks for the explanation about Jafar. It makes more sense and I feel they should have mentioned it in the movie.
ALSO KEEGAN AS MALEFICENT!!!!! OMG!!!! I WOULD HAVE DIED!!!!!!! IMAGINE HER SINGING EVIL LIKE ME! IMAGINE HER IN HORNS!!! OH MY GOODNESS! What could have been :/ oh well. We will get our dark fairy one day.

Did anyone read the book? I loved the book! Now are all the songs corny or is it reminiscent of HSM?

I haven’t read the book but I hear its good (its a prequel,not a novelization of the film) as for the songs…. Some were good, others were…yeah. Maleficent’s villain song is THE BEST of the film. The final song is good enough. And Mal’s song on the lake was okay. But the others were just typical Disney channel pop music that all the kids’ll be singing tomorrow anyway. Seriously, their rendition of Be Our Guest was painful even on second watching. But yeah I say it was a pretty decent film. It exceeded my expectations.

There are a couple ways to go about it. Keeping it with one person is probably not a good idea because it makes that one person a target. The best move would be to devise a way so that the dagger switches people ever few hours or something. So Snow passes it to Grumpy who passes it to Granny to passes it to Blue who passes it Hook who passes it to Belle who passes it Charming and so on and so forth. It keeps the Dark Swan on the run trying to intercept the dagger before it is passed off while making her angry and therefore more likely to make a mistake. What they shouldn’t do is keep it to one person because Emma will eventually figure out who has it and go after that one person–be it Snow, Charming, Hook or Henry–more focused and on her game, so to speak.

I feel like it was implied this land had some magical aspects at one point. Tamara said magic had been here and cased trouble before. Maybe Camelot was that trouble before they got…kicked out magically to another plane of existence? Hmmmm Camelot is like medieval time. Maybe the Black Plague was actually the Dark One Plague or the Black Fairy Plague.
