Love watchin the CC panels. I wonder what the sneak will be about. Usually they introduce a character that we didn’t know would come (Hook, Ariel, Sidney) or just show a regular normal scene (Rump and Felix, Elsa and Anna) to tease us. I figured it might be a dark emma scene but that might reveal too much (like where emma went, what she looks like, etc). It might be a merlin scene or a merlin/apprentice flashback.

I think she means more in the sense of the creator of the first dark one, the who placed the curse upon someone to become “the beast”. In a sense, the sorcerer id technically the enchantress. BUT the black fairy could have been the first dark one who then passed it on and managed to live.
I mean, we know its possible you can cleave yourself from the dagger and keep the power. Maybe thats what the balck fairy did. She kept the powers without the curse and just passed the dagger on with the entrapped darkness within it."I could have the giant duck as my steed!" --Daniel Radcliffe

Hmmm. I know that in most legends about Dragons, they have the ability to change shape into humans. But from what we know about Maleficent… it would seem she is just a witch who has the particular ability to become a dragon. I know the actress once called her “half dragon” But 1) Rump, when told Mal turned into a dragon in the flashback, says he thought she “lost that power.” 2) Mal said she couldn’t turn into a dragon because she had “lost the fire” so it would seem it isn’t something that is natural to her and 3) Mal was frequently referred to as a witch and a sorceress. So I’m going to go ahead and say that dragons are one species but Maleficent, having stolen dragon fire (?) gained the ability to change into one herself. So while most dragons are just creatures, I guess some are actual people or magic-users. And apparently Mal had no issue just making tacos with random dragon without ever knowing who it was.
But hey. “It’s a dragon thing”. I am sure Papa Dragon is human male with the same abilities and I firmly believe the dragon we saw flying in the first episode is Lily’s papa."I could have the giant duck as my steed!" --Daniel Radcliffe

Nope, Lily said “it” happened in Dragon form which is why Mal doesn’t know who the human face is attached to the dragon. “Its a dragon thing”.
Unless I’m misinterpreting Mal’s reaction.
I didn’t take it as surprise, personally. Just…astonishment. Like “woah, look at my baby burn down those trees!”. Mal hasn’t seen her child ever and now here she is watching her cause havoc. Shes proud. The only thing I really remember of Mal’s reaction was “She looks just like me!” and not “Holy crap, shes a dragon too?”. I don’t see why she’d be surprised though. Mal is a dragon. She mated with a dragon. It seems simple enough that Lily would be a dragon. Plus, ya know, she hatched from an egg. Mal must have known.

Maleficent wasn’t pregnant until around the time of Snowing, during which Rumple had been the dark one for over a century. Rumple became the dark one by stabbing Zoso, it is also likely this is how Zoso became the dark one by stabbing the dark one before him etc. The original dark one was already a long time dead before Maleficent became pregnant therefore couldn’t possibly be the father.
Hmmmm. I didn’t even think about that. Good point, POM…. I could think of a few solutions but i’d rather not get into the mechanics of dragon mating on this forum xD but hmmm, back to the drawing board for this one. Ive been brainstorming paternity ideas for Maleficent.

I think its a given on this show. Have we ever had ONE season where the villain wasn’t related to the main cast? And I know some will say this half of season 4 was because none of the queens or the author are related to anyone but Maleficent was Lily’s mom and Lily and Emma are practically sisters. So yeah. This woman, Rumpel’s mom, is a tragic family backstory waiting to happen and those usually mean villainy.
Does Merlin have a significant other in any stories or legends? I was wondering, what if Mama Stiltskin left Malcolm for a young Merlin… i really hope not because that’s so cliché, but it could explain how she may be alive after 3 centuries. Rump did say he could keep Belle young forever.
