I think having some kind of mixture of the Queens Of Darkness with Elsa and Anna on the cover would sell better. Looking at the cover with only a glance, most people wouldn’t know it was Elsa (which is also why I thought they use the other one with her blasting ice). But Maleficent and Cruella are very recognizable (Ursula isn’t dressed the way people would normally see her so they wouldn’t know who she was) and having Elsa standing there next to then would have created intrigue. Plus, ya know, the Jolie-Maleficent movie did well so people would look at the cover probably thinking it was that if Mal were on it. But yeah, for what it’s worth, its a pretty cover nonetheless.

I’m still confused as to how Mal doesn’t know the papa. I mean okay. Sure they were in dragon form but she didn’t know him before hand? Questionable villain morals are questionable…

I am utterly upset Sorcerer is Merlin. It was so predictable that I thought they wouldn’t do it. But nope. They did it. Yen Sid atleast would have been a more creative choice even though that was predictable as well.

Yeah, I am sure Morgana is the black fairy and the original dark one.

Honestly, I personally wouldn’t want MRJ back for an extended time on this show. In my head, they could wait until the very final episode, and have MRJ film one scene and one scene alone. Have Nyx resurrect him as a reward for Henry and he and Henry go off happily. That’s all I would ask for and all I would need. Would I want it to be well written? Yeah. Would I  care if it wasn’t? Nope.

Part of me wonders if the title of sorcerer can be passed on like the title of author, and whether Lily could become the next sorceress if she inherits the sorcerer’s hat

There was this interview with A&E from d23 that said this:

D23: You’ve revealed the Sorcerer’s hat—and shown its great power. But we have yet to meet the Sorcerer himself. Will it be Yensid, and will he come to retrieve that which belongs to him?
Adam: It’s something we’ll explore in much greater depth in the second half of the season. And in the premiere there is some iconography from Fantasia that makes an appearance.
Eddy: And hats can be passed on. So we’ll have our own Once twist on it and who it belongs to now.

Other than the obvious “hats can be passed on”,  I think the biggest thing is the last sentence. He says “Who it belongs to now” So I think yes, the title can be passed down to others.

OR: Yen Sid IS the sorcerer and owner of the hat, but SOMEONE has taken it from now and is NOW the new sorcerer. So yeah.

QOD Ursula wasn’t actually a goddess, she was just named after the one in Ariel.

She was the daughter of Poseidon, the god of the sea who even called himself a deity. Plus she took his trident and gave herself all the powers of the Godddess Ursula, making herself stronger than Poseidon. So whether by birth or by power, she should be considered a goddess.

Are the genies even an option anymore? Nyx’s curse on Cyrus and his brothers was broken, and now Jafar appears to be the only genie enslaved by her. I have my doubts the spell works with just one genie now

 I am sure there are more genies in the world other than just those three. Sidney was a genie afterall.  And at first I used to think only three particular genies were needed for the spell (1 genie of the lamp, 1 genie of the bottle, 1 genie of the ring perhaps) until I realized that Amara as looking for her sons and not just any old genie which is probably why it took her so long. So yeah. I think the spell would work.
