We’ve seen that The Apprentice was capable of opening doors and vortexes to the real world and we’ve never seen hi in SB, yet. He could have very well been out in the real world for a good number of years, following & advising August. However, I do like the idea of August being the new Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
oooh that’s very true, I forgot the apprentice wasn’t in SB until the second curse. Wait, was he? I know the Sorcerer’s mansion wasn’t in SB the first curse, but do we know the same about the Apprentice? But that’s still a very good idea. It seems the Apprentice is Sorcerer’s footman anyway, I could see him going to august and letting him know the deal. I am placing a 100 cookie bet this is the case, people.

The pilot also said Regina was mad at Snow because Snow was prettier. a&E have retconned bigger things before, this if it were properly done, could be just a big plot twist.

You could even go further and do a sort of multiverse concept were there a multiple versions of the same character (Think DC comic books/ Infinite Crisis/ Silver Age Golden Age stick) But then that just makes things more needlessly complicated…But your lucky I’m a person who likes complicated situations.
Someone recently said something similar in another thread, but connected it to the author tampering with the stories. Its entirely possible, also possible that what we are seeing are the Disney-fied versions and some where else are the “grimm” versions. The thought is incredibly creepy.
Anyway, I was reading through this thread, and I still firmly believe OUR land isn’t Emma’s land. It could be a land extremely close to ours just lik how Alice’s homeworld is similar but different somehow from Cruella’s.
I was also thinking…. Regina and Rumpel hav both said that this land is a land where there are no happy endings… What if….and this is kind of stupid and kind of crazy, but totally in the realms of fantasy but…. what is the Land Wihtout Magic is really a crap world where no one can be happy? Lets look at all the people who hail from LWM:
Greg/Owen: His papa was killed when he was kid.
Emma- Grew up alone, spent years in jail, and yes I know she was born in FTL but hush your face.
Tamara: something…about her grandmother(?)
Wendy- Kidnapped. For centuries was trapped in a cage. I hope they let her out for bathroom breaks.
Henry- Was apparently extremely unhappy with his life with Regina
So yeh, idk. It would seem in magical lands that heroes will get their happy endings. In this land it could be a crapsack world where no one gets their happy ending. Just a theory. I think the real world is crap but happy endings are possible….in the land without magic, they may not be.
I think that would be interesting to explorer personally. A land where all your endeavors will fail and you will just die unhappy, alone, in a crap way. As opposed to the splendor of the magical realms where all dreams can come true.

Well, darn. I feel crunchy and sad. R.I.P. Marian.
I literally came back here to report that as well 😛 the only people who ever mentioned not being able to kill with magic are Cyrus and Sidney, both of whom were genies

In the press release it says Zoey Siewert will be playing “Brunette Girl”. So either her character name is the same as her real name or the poster heard them call her Zoey on set and though it was her character name.

Jafar used magic to turn everyone in Red Queen’s throne room into ashes. I think that counts as using magic to kill. And regina used magic to snap someones neck. Also we have seen a few people use magic to choke others (Zoso, Rumpel, Regina). Great example I just remembered: Regina actually tried to kill Snow White in 3×06 by using magic to choke her. If Ariel hadn’t stabbed Regina with the fork and helped Snow to escape, Snow would be dead.
I think the rule of not killing really only applies to genies. And it would make sense because in Aladdin, Genie does indeed say he can’t use his powers to kill.They applied, ALL of them because if they didn’t, then Jafar would have just killed his father in cold blood, but he used magic in order to do so
Jafar didn’t want him dead at first, he wanted his love. Once he got it, he killed him. It was entirely possible that he could have done the whole drowing from the inside trick without breaking the laws of magic.

This is either a law of magic they NEVER follow or a rule that only applies to Genies. We’ve seen others use magic to kill before (like regina breaking that guys neck in 3×06 with magic) But I don’t think we have ever seen a genie kill. Except that one time when Lizard made a wish that resulted in her death (I don’t recall the specifics but yeah).
