So wherever he got the bean, it wasn’t in the EF.
Wait, I thought Hook just sailed far away? O.o he we to a different land before he got the bean? Sorry if I’m asking so many questions

I never got the impression that it worked that way, but who knows? I always pictured it as a big cloud that originated from wherever the curse was cast and then spread out in all directions however far it goes, eventually maybe kind of dissipating at the edges where it stops. Obviously I don’t know for sure though.

If the curse doesn’t take over the entire EF then Regina’s use of it is stupid. Because all Snow and Charming would have to do to escape it is simply travel REALLY far away, something Hook managed at a moments notice. And again, if its a distance thing, then why would Cora need to have put up a bubble? Why not just get away from the curse on Hooks ship? The more I think about it, the less it makes sense…

I thought that when the curse is activated, it just produces a bunch of smoke/mist that flows around everywhere and consumes eveything it touches. How Hook can outrun makes no sense.
HOWEVER if the curse works more like once it gets activated it turns into a big smoke ball that runs all across the land swallowing up everyone and then passes on, then id understand how Hook could outrun it (he could have headed in a direction the curse ball hadn’t consumed yet then when the curse got there, he could have turned and went to a place it had already ravaged). Idk >> blahg

But weren’t there some comments in S1 about the curse effecting the entire land? I never thought the curse only effected a certain region and left others untouched or couldn’t reach some parts. Even Blue said the curse would sacrifice this land (EF) for the next (our world) so I assumed the curse operated on a more global scale which is why I’m having trouble understanding how Hook can outrun it.
Hook was still a pirate…he probably knew some not-so-socially-moral people who dabble in ‘hard-to-get’ goods…even Smee was able to procure difficult to find things. Heck, even in our world that’s a reality. I can’t buy a kidney on eBay, but if I really want to buy a kidney, there are ways to get my hands on one!
But this isn’t what I mean. I’m not saying Regina couldn’t FIND a bean, there shouldn’t be ANY beans left in the EF let alone anywhere. Regina said there was a walls placed between their world and our world and there were no portals or beans left that could get them back there because that was price when she stopped Pans curse. The only way to get back was with the use of the dark curse. So when A.) The curse took away all portals including beans and B.) beans take 100 years to grow, how the heck could Hook find someone who just so happens to have a bean? I’m just gonna say that I’m thinking too hard and A&E aren’t thinking hard enough and accept that as my answer

The curse should have covered their entire world…. How can he outrun it? Does the curse only cover a particular region? I just can’t grasp how it easy it apparently is to escape the curse for not only one person, but at least two given that Hook met someone to trade his ship to, AND apparently Ariel and Eric are still in the EF!!!!! >.< what the heck!!!!! So the curse just grabs people I'm the immediate location then >> I guess I’ll just have to accept that
