But would Dorothy be in our land? If so, that would create the same issue I had with Wendy being a real person in our land. If they are native to our world then WHY are they considered storybook characters?

In real life, Dorothy was based off a girl that L Frank Baum knew, who I believe died. So unless they are planning to copy what Witches Of Oz did and have Dorothy be the creator of the story, I wouldn’t like it if she is still alive in our land.

I think this is a case of rumps foresight (and perhaps a bit of Blue Fairy manipulation).

 

Remember that BLUE FAIRY is the one who told him a curse was needed. She lied about their being no magic beans and I wouldn’t be surprised if she lied about the magic tree being the last of its kind. He casted the curse because she told him that was the only way to get him back. Im sure Rump was looking for other portals (he asked for the ruby slippers for example) but I think he was certain the only way it would happen was if he used the dark curse which again, was said by the Seer to be the way he would eventually find Bae. So I think Rump figured that even if he found another portal, it would not lead to him finding Bae, that only the curse would do that. I think its all bull though. I think Blue Fairy made it that way.

I think that may be so, Slurp. I always got the impression that Blue Fairy may be one of the fairies too. Perhaps Glinda is a stand in for Flora (the red one, right) because I believe Glinda lives in Quadling Country which is associated with the color red

I think Blue may out-magic Tink (meaning she may be more powerful) but I think Tink would probably have better hand to hand combat and be willing to use it. So in a fight, Blue would be throwing fireballs and spells and if Tink gets close enough, she will snatch her by her hair and give Blue a good backhand until she passes out v.v (I’m sorry… Its been a very violent day today >> )
