I wanna know what Tink’s job was overall. Was she an FGM? Was she just another fairy along the lines of Nova?
Haven’t you seen the Disney fairies movies? 😛 Tinkerbell is a tinker fairy. Her job is to fix and build things. Assuming they are taking after the Disney movies. Maybe Tink got tired of being a Tinker fairy and decided she wanted to be a FGM. She wasn’t happy with the tinker job at first in the movies

And that could have been before Regina or even Cora was born. Fairies live a long time and Tink must have been there as a fairy and helped him to try and save Bae or to escape Pan. He said she was very powerful so on order foe that be true, she had to have been a fairy. He seemed surprised to find her in her human state. I think after her tine with Hook was when she went to Regina.

He identified her as a fairy and said she was pretty powerful. Hook is older than Regina, possibly a few decades younger than Rumple, so he must have known Tink back when she was still a fairy.
On another note, when Tink fell, the shot of her bright green undergarments was just too much for me xD I was like “Really?”
