I figured it was an effect of the curse as well, not that Emma has to believe to sustain the worlds.
ALTHOUGH: I have always thought that magic and the multiple story realms were dependent on the beliefs of the people in our world. I had a thread back in the day about that, I think. But I basically said that since we know magic runs on belief, in order for magic to exist and therefore magical worlds, the stories have to be told here so we can believe and thus power those worlds and keep them alive. If we stop beliving they’d die (which was kinda similar to what occurred in Neverland. The magic was running out and so Neverland was dying.) So that makes sense.

This makes a lot of sense and its a shame the show didn’t properly explain that way. Or if they did it went over my head. I just figured they were saying the savior should not kill at all no matter what, even in self defense.
But yeah, no the final battle wasn’t as…epic as I wanted it to be. We’ve seen plenty of sword fights so I wanted an actual magical battle to end all magic battles. Although I loved Emmas dialog, I loved the light show when she gets stabbed by Gideon and ultimately I’m pleased with the way things turned out.
When good and evil do the right thing, then the final battle is won? See, that makes no sense to me just because good and evil have kind of been working together a lot in this show.
The black fairy’s curse (and her goals in general) were all pretty bleh to me and I wish she could have been a more formidable villain.

He didn’t seem very cynical to me. I mean, if the theory is right that there is Wish Henry and Real Henry, then Real Henry doesn’t have a daughter, and probably isn’t even married for all we know. So imagine if some random child knocked on ur doorstep saying they were yours. I’d be be all “Show me the Carfax”.

In recent interviews A and E make it sound like they are going to get back together because of Gideon? I dunno. I suspect Rumple has some sort of hidden agenda because he told Belle that everything he did was for her and their son and this directly before revealing he had tricked the CharMills so I think there’s something we still don’t know. But I sorta think Rumbelle just need to divorce and focus on raising their son together but separately
Right. It would be nice. As it would show a different kind of fairytale pairing that’s unconventional in most stories. Sometimes the prince and princess don’t stay together. But they can still raise their family. Similar to Emma and Regina co-parenting Henry.

When Belle realizes Rump lied, again, and is working with what is being called the creator of all dark magic against her friends and family? If Belle takes Rump back, I seriously think we need to have an intervention to talk some sense in her.

I get the feeling its gonna take place in the real world and that the events of tomorrows episode are going to bring magic to our land.
And of course, all magic comes with a price, so now its gonna be some serious bad juju going on.

Clearly or you wouldn’t be saying something like well I hope hook doesn’t just grovel and do everything to find Emma. That’s who Hook is! Just like Rumpe with belle and Gideon! Talk about a double standard.
Don’t understand him? There’s no issue with someone trying to find their significant other, the issue is that that’s ALL Hook has story-wise. Not an issue with Rump, not an issue with Regina, or Snowing, or Belle. That’s only Hook.
Its repetitive. You can’t reboot a series by literally doing the exact same thing. You are just restating the issue of the way Hook is written. He has nothing in this story but to float around Emma. Take her out of the equation and we are all left wondering what purpose he has, and the only thing you can come up with is that he must find her.
So in other words he’s pointless now at this stage because we are minus Emma. You cannot come up with a plot involving Hook that has nothing to do with his ship. That’s the problem because now only one half of the show remains. Hook shouldn’t have been here past season 3 in my opinion, but if even the writers cant give him any non-ship related material, he definitely shouldn’t be here now.
I’d much rather have Hook actually doing something instead of that if he is going to stick around. I’m hoping its flashback stuff.

I was thinking this too…but for this to be a thing, it would kinda sorta be a retcon. Because Regina (or was it Henry?) burned the pages ripped out from the book about the evil queen and it doesn’t seem to have effected anything. If harming the book alters the stories, that should have done something. I was thinking maybe the realms being destroyed is the result of Emma destroying the book.
The Black Fairy being Rumpel’s mother was made up later.
Pan being his papa was also made up later, as we know they had to reshoot the scenes with the actors. But I think S6 has shades of things they originally planned. I do think:
– Black Fairy was always intended to be Rump’s mother just because it would explain his hatred of the nuns and the fairies that has been around since S1 or S2. So I could buy that. I think Black Fairy in general as a character was always planned but to be used in a different way (Snow used dark fairy dust in season 1, episode 3)
– Emma fighting an actual “final battle”.
– The wedding of Emma and her love interest being interrupted by a curse was always planned as well I think (although I definitely don’t think the musical was planned.)

I ask because I recall A&E saying they had a planned ending for the series regardless of the changes they made along the way. Do you think what we will see tomorrow is what they (claim) to have planned prior as the ending to this tale, or that the season 7 story is what they always intended in some way?
