Barnes & Noble had it in their magazine section. In the store I went to, it wasn’t on the “Entertainment” group of shelves but in a stand on the end of aisle.
[adrotate group="5"]timespacerParticipantYes, I like it too. I decided to get it when I saw that it not only included cast interviews but also interviews with the creators, writers, effects people, etc… I think it enhances enjoyment of the story to learn a little about what goes into creating it.
timespacerParticipantI’m another male fan. It seems the show has something for everyone but I have a lot of male friends who say their wives watch the show but they never have because they assume it’s a “romance”. I try to remind them that lots of great dramas may include romantic elements but also include a lot more.

I have a thread a few pages back where we discussed in detail how the stories could have come into our world. I can’t figure out how to link to it on my phone right now. 😕
.Is this the thread you are thinking of? There is discussion of the origin of the stories in some of the later posts in this thread:

I think Henry’s comment that Frankenstein isn’t in his book might be a hint that we are going to see more non-fairy tale stories and address the question of how those stories came to be in our world.

Well,if we do see that candle used,it won’t be to bring back the dead.In 2×5 Rumple said “Magic can do much, but no that!Dead is dead.”
Good point. I was sloppy in my phrasing. I should have said “fatally injure” instead of “kill” since the candle can’t bring back the dead but can heal someone on the brink of death.

While I don’t disagree with the awkwardness of the line, the thing is after working with enough boys in Scouts and seeing my wife’s work as a teacher, neither of us even batted an eye at the line. It may have been a bad line, but it was the sort of thing we’ve seen from kids when they’ve been hurt or are honked off even when they’re all smiles and doing something fun.
That said, my own son has not gotten away with those kind of cracks when he’s tried them with us. I’ll cut Neal a bit of slack, though. After all, while he may have been a father for 11 years, he’s only been a dad for an hour.
I agree – it seemed like a very authentic line, and that’s the real question, isn’t it? We want the characters to seem real, so is this something a kid might say in such a situation? I think so. After all, Henry is extremely sensitive to the fact that Regina lied to him for his entire life. Then he sees Emma as the “anti-Regina” and expects her to be the perfect mom. He would accept just about anything from Emma (like learning that she gave birth to him in jail) except for her lying to him – because that is what Regina did to him. It was a big shock when she fell off that pedestal, so I think it’s going to take some time for him to get over his disappointment.
It’s a case of terrible timing for Regina that she fell for Cora’s argument now. If she were still trying to reform when Henry got back, he might have turned to Regina for support while he was upset with Emma. But Regina blew that chance!

Hmmmm, very good point about the library,TimeSpacer!!!!Also…I’m wondering about Maleficent…..Regina said she trapped her in a different form.So Maleficent a dragon for twenty-eight years. The question is did Maleficent change back into human form after the battle with Charming? If not,how did Regina trick her into turning back into a dragon?or maybe Regina simply her change into a dragon when the curse hit?and did she lose her memory too?and(this is something totally irrelevant)how did she keep that egg inside her?!.!?!?
Good question. Perhaps the egg had some magical property that kept her in dragon form. Of course, that would mean when Regina said “I trapped her in a different form” she meant she was just taking advantage of the fact that Maleficent was already in permanet dragon form when she trapped her with the curse. But I prefer the idea that she changed back to human form so we can get to see a flashback story of how Regina trapped her in dragon form! Of course, if that’s the case the egg must have automagically shrunk when she changed!
timespacerParticipantThat’s a really good theory. Obviously she couldn’t get pregnant in a place where time is standing still. So adoption is the best bet. The only question is what prompted her to want a kid in the first place.
I think Regina found her revenge didn’t make her happy, just as her father had warned her. She probably thought a child would fill the “emptiness inside her” that she had been told the curse would create.
There’s another aspect to your question that I am curious about: Why didn’t she foresee that a child adopted from outside of Storybrooke would grow and eventually notice that time was frozen. Or did she foresee that? Did she have a plan to deal with that? I originally assumed the library was closed from the beginning, but after hearing Mr. Gold say “You closed it, back when you still had power,” I now wonder if the Storybrooke library was originally open and Regina closed it when Henry became old enough to read, so he wouldn’t get any ideas like he ultimately got from the story book. I’m anxious to see if the library is open in this episode!

What if the person that actually dies (first) is Snow? And Emma uses the candle and kills Cora to bring Snow back from death or from the brink of death?
Emma does for her mother what Snow couldn’t do for hers?
Hmmm.
I like that idea. I definitely think we’ll see that candle again. I’m assuming one of the “good guys” (probably Snow, as you say) will get killed and someone (probably Emma) will use it bring her back by killing Cora. Even if they kill Cora, I hope we will still get to see Barbara Hershey in flashbacks!
