I would have loved it if Cora pulled a Voldemort. And the writers only had Rumple and Hook knowing the truth about her heart. Like they could have destroyed her body, but as long as her heart lives, she will never die, and she comes back somehow with a new body…Wishful thinking 😥
[adrotate group="5"]tombo671ParticipantNarnia would be good, we get to see The White Witch!
tombo671ParticipantI don’t understand the hostage scene, Regina is meant to be a powerful witch, and yet she couldn’t simply teleport out of Emma’s hold? That scene was poorly written.
tombo671ParticipantI think Hook and Regina will team up again now. Since Hook – hates Rumple and Regina – Hates Snow again….Both Rumple and Snow are family now so logically it would be suited for Hook and Regina to team up.

Xavier could have known that the only person in the realm that can spin straw into gold was Rumpelstiltskin (good chance he already asked Rumpel) so she had to have learned it from him.
And to Cora, Xavier was worth more alive then dead. 5th in line for the throne, remember? You can avoid an awefull lot of bloodshed if you can use the current King as puppet. All she had to do now was declare Henry heir to the throne.
Somehow I think Cora dislikes bloodshed and that is why she takes out hearts. It keeps people alive but controlled, which she prefers. As long as she does not kill them she can tell herself she’s not wicked. And the few she does kill, well they deserved it (<- How I think she reasons, not how I think)Are you seriously saying Cora doesn’t like killing people? Where have you been, have you not watched this season at all? (jokes..but still) I mean, she massacred the whole refugee island back in FTL (pretty sure they were Zombies when she revived them in 2×08). Let’s not forget what she did to Johanna last episode.
tombo671ParticipantLet’s not forget they have more back story to be explored. Remember Rumple told Regina he met her before as a baby. And he witnessed Cora become the monster she turned out to be based on his comments on her in 2×08 and 2×09.
tombo671ParticipantFavorite: The battle, even though it was short lived. And the last moment of Cora’s life, so she really wasn’t pure evil, she just took her heart out, (well in a way that could be called pure evil). I kinda wanted her to be different from Rumple and Regina and not be sympathetic, but clearly they chose to recycle the same route, however I’m glad they did now.
Least favorite: My favorite Character dying, I hate Snow! How could she light that candle and decide to Give Regina Cora’s heart later? She already had that other idea in hear head before performing the action, I’m sure there could have been other ways to save Rumple….Get her Regina!
tombo671ParticipantI think we should probably rule Regina out as the killer. Seeing as she is still going to be evil after this episode anyway, confirmed by Lana herself
tombo671ParticipantIf it ends up being Ruby then would that mean that Cora will just get banished somehow? We still have a lot of unanswered questions about her, so maybe the writers plan on banishing her instead of killing her off incase Barbara wants to return again.

I just wanna get this out. But what *(please avoid obscenities)* were Disney thinking giving Leopold the same name as a mass murderer? Anyone that does History would know who I’m referring to.
You are referring to Leopold II of Belgium (1835-1909), whose brutal rule and exploitation of what was called Congo Free State back then lead to the death of millions. Just clearing this up, because I am sure that many never heard of it – despite passable history lessons in school. Frankly, I only know because I always have been interested in history and politics and through contacts with people from Congo in the 90’s, who were fighting the brutal regime of Mobutu. The book by Adam Hochschild from 1998, King Leopold’s Ghost, might have spread the knowledge. But would bet that many still aren’t aware, that Joseph Conrad’s novella Heart of Darkness describes that time in the the Congo (based on his own experience and observations as a captain of a steamer on the Congo River), even if they might have heard of the novella.
Considering that the writers very sure at least heard of Conrad’s novella, it can surprise they chose this name and of all things for Snow’s father. On the other hand Leopold was the name of other rulers as well, particular in Austria, and there in Austria a quite common name, best known maybe Leopold Mozart, the father of the wunderkind Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. But they maybe should do some better research about names, it is an insensitive choice.
I have always wondered what the writers were thinking with it, but I hadn’t voiced my opinion on it till now. Next thing you know will probably get a “King Mao” or “King Stalin”.
