MRJ was not made a regular until S3.
RumplesGirl, please refer to this link for a thread dated from January:
https://oncepodcast.com/forums//viewtopic.php?f=70&t=2551&p=34792&hilit=regular#p34792
MRJ was upgraded to a regular for season 2, and then an announcement was made about season 3. I would like for Colin O’Donoghue to be a series regular for season 3, but no official announcement has confirmed this to be the case.
toothfairyParticipantI don’t think this was a serious conversation about a Once Upon A Time band. I mean, Colin offered to play the triangle. He professionally plays guitar. Keegan O’Connor Tracy said the harp would be more appropriate for the “Irishman” (like we don’t know who that is). Colin wanted to call his band Neverband (Never a band?). This was all a joke, aside from his exit from The Enemies and no, there is no “official” annoncement confirming his participation in season 3. There should be, I mean when MRJ was made regular for season 2 there was an announcement made about it.. No such thing regarding Colin yet and far as The Enemies congratulating Colin on season 3, I am not totally convinced I can put money on anything they say, other than maybe that water is wet.

The home office: It turns out, Tamara and Greg have actually been hired by some entity, which will be revealed during the final hours. “You will find out who the home office is, you will find out what they want, but you won’t know why they want it,” Kitsis teases. Horowitz adds: “In bringing in Greg and Tamara, who are characters who we have established and shown to be real world characters, that was our way of saying, ‘What starts to happen when the real world gets connected to Storybrooke and the magic there?'” Expect a showdown that will lead to “a really surprising revelation about one of our characters,” Horowitz says. Plus: We’ll find out this Sunday where Greg’s father is!
The trigger: Regina (Lana Parrilla) unearthed a black diamond that is the curse’s failsafe, but it’s now fallen into the hands of Greg and Tamara. “As always with a curse, it’s a self-destruct button because that’s just the way big curses work,” Kitsis says. “The device is an erase button that returns Storybrooke to what it once was, so everyone involved in it will die. Unfortunately for Regina, she’s now strapped to a table, and the two people who have it seemed to be hellbent on getting rid of this town.” Unfortunately, there are only three magic beans left that survived Regina razing the fields.
Once Upon a Time Postmortem:
How can Snow White redeem herself?
Snow White’s dark heart: In the final two episodes, we’ll see Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) struggle to fix her black heart by trying to find the light again, but the question remains whether it’s possible. “It’s really starting to motivate her and push her,” Horowitz says. “There’s a lot of feelings of guilt for what she’s done and she sees a tough road ahead of her, which is, ‘How do I heal this dark heart?’ and you’ll see that plays a huge part in the finale.” We’ll see her take a step in doing that this Sunday when she risks her own life to save Regina. Kitsis also notes that it will certainly affect her decision to go back to fairy tale land. Unfortunately, this will all put more pressure on Charming (Josh Dallas), who is faced with balancing Snow’s issue with saving all his people.Emma’s big decision: As Storybrooke is faced with extinction, Emma will have a big decision to make in regards to the possibility of traveling with her family to fairy tale land. “When things are coming to a head, you don’t have as many choices as you once thought and you have to react on instinct,” Kitsis says. “Sometimes you have to put aside your personal feelings for the good of others because that’s what a true hero does.” Additionally, we’ll see Emma confront her feelings about Neal as well as her connection to magic. “We’re definitely going to explore the magic inside her,” Kitsis says.
The prophecy: Even though it’s Henry (Jared Gilmore) who was prophesized to be Rumple’s (Robert Carlyle) downfall, it may be someone else who tries to rectify this. “As you see with the villains this year, they’re all trying to go on the straight and narrow and none of them can seem to get off the bottom,” Kitsis says. “So Lacey [Emilie de Ravin], who loves the bottle, I would hate to find out what she thinks of this prophecy, what she thinks about letting a little child stand in the way.”
Henry’s fate, Belle’s future, a trip to Neverland and 10 other Once Upon a Time spoilers
Fun finale facts: Mulan (Jamie Chung), Aurora (Sarah Bolger) and Phillip (Julian Morris) will definitely be back in the finale, which hopefully indicates a return to fairy tale land, but that doesn’t mean everyone will make it there. The producers are hesitant to say whether death would factor into the finale but add that we should always be worried about death. In addition to revealing the mystery of the outsiders, Horowitz notes they’ll “also look back into the lives of some of our characters in a way we haven’t seen yet.” Dun. Dun. Dunnnn?http://www.tvguide.com/News/Once-Upon-Time-Season2-Finale-Spoilers-1064946.aspx?rss=breakingnews
As for the death maybe it is Neal kind of like the wrath thing ❓
No, it’s Hook. It makes me sick, and I don’t know how they’ll cell it. It’s definitely going to be Hook, though.
toothfairyParticipantI know a lot of people will hate me saying this, but I think the ratings will look a lot better next season if they’ll stop focusing so much on Rumplestiltskin for a while. I think viewers may be a big exasperated by too much of Rumple and Belle. The focus needs to be better balanced, than it is. Yes, it’s the writers’ story, but what good is that if they end up with nobody to write for?
Next season should focus heaviliy on a developing relationship for Emma and Hook (nobody else). Hook is complex enough a character to keep the viewer’s pallette wet, and the factor of Neal helps add to the drama. If they do this, ratings will go up.
toothfairyParticipantHi. For anybody who is interested, I have questions about Captain Hook.
Admittedly, I’m in the “CaptainSwan” brigade. I’ve been thinking hard about why, and I have come to conclusions some people may, or may not like.
* Loyalty
-Is Hook loyal to Milah, or is he loyal to his own anger and resentment over what was taken from him when Rumple killed Milah? Is he loyoal to his love, or is he loyal to his thirst for revenge; for revenge; for victory and the last word? What’s more powerful within him? His love for Milah, his openness to love for others, or only his self interest??* Looks
-Ok, so Hook is eye-candy. He still would be no matter who it would be playing his part, but Colin O’Donoghue is good a good looking guy, so the girls go wild…but….is beauty only skin-deep?*History
-Can he change his stripes and be an honest guy for Emma? Can he stop being a pirate, and walk a strait line like David? There’s definitely the potential for him to be that guy, but what part of him has the louder voice? The good part, or the bad part? This will mean no more revenge, and no more being a pirate (traditionally, pirates are theives and liars, but I’ve seen neither in Hook yet).Then, there’s the biggest concern:
* Empathy
-Emma’s been through hell in her life. She needs a man who will not only love her, and fight for her, but someone who can identify with her. She needs someone who can empathize with her. Is Captain Hook capable of empathy? He has a code of honor, but that only comes back to himself, not because of his feelings for anybody else’s pain. I’m worried about whether he can identify with Emma’s, Henry’s, anyone else’s, or if he’d be too preoccupied with himself to react appropriately to the needs and feelings of others.I guess my question is summed up with this: Is Captain Hook a bad guy? With potential, yes, but at the end of the day, a bad person?
toothfairyParticipantThe reason why Hook is such a hit among fans, is very simple. Colin O’Donoghue is OUAT’s very own Michael Jackson. He’s brought something unique, fresh, attractive, and exciting! That’s why the show has to keep Captain Killian Jones / James Hook. He is to Once Upon A Time, what Michael Jackson was to Motown. He’s changed it forever.
toothfairyParticipantFor me, it’s Rumbelle, Rumbelle, Rumbelle. I don’t hate Rumbelle, but RS isn’t why I watch the show, and I feel like I’ve been drowning in him. I wish they’d spread attention they give to the characters over everybody evenly. If I have to see one more tragedy for the Charming Family, or if I have to see more drama queen activity for pooooooor Belle, I think I’ll gag! I hope next season is different.

I will be thrilled beyond belief if that’s what the do. I’m afraid to be that optimistic, though. I just feel kind of burned after Graham, you know?
I have no doubt that someone is going to die before the season is over. But I think the core cast (and Neal) are very much safe. Very much safe. I really do think it’s Granny.
She’s such a strong lady. That would be a big loss. 🙁
