Last night was Daveed’s last show! From what I’ve seen and heard, Daveed was the heart of the show and will be greatly missed. I dont have a Snapchat, but apparently he had a pretty epic #shotsoutthegrammy last night. Happy trails, Mr Jefferson and Lafayette
Did anyone else watch the final curtain call on Facebook? I did and sobbed slightly hysterically over a musical I’ve never seen about a very dead founding father. When they played the West Wing Music….eh gad.
Yes, I watched it live, and like you, was more emotional than I had any right or reason to be. My favorite thing was Chris pushing Lin to the front to take more bows. I love how much that casts loves each other. Happy trails, Lin, Leslie, and Pippa. You will be missed
Lin, Pippa, and Leslie’s last Ham4Ham was today. Watch it…it’s beautiful. I was kinda hoping they’d sing One Last Time, but tbh I don’t think anyone would’ve been able to handle it. I will miss these people <3
According to Lin, the cast recording is finished and en route to Gringotts. Hopefully it will emerge sooner rather than later.
Leslie Odom Jr just announced that he is also leaving the show on July 9th 🙁 That makes him, Lin, and Pippa. That show is going to be so emotional

The opening number was amazing! At this point, they’ve done so many parodies of it that I’m surprised they dont mess up the words, lol!
Also, Lin says they’re not going to air the entire show on PBS, but they will probably still show a large portion of it.
RG, I agree with all of that. So so happy for Leslie. Lin looked thrilled for him as well. And can we talk about how Pippa was THE FIRST person on her feet for Cynthia? Pippa is about as close to an angel as you can get.
The Yorktown performance was amazing. The choreography was even more beautiful without the guns. It was really touching that they decided not to use them tonight.
All in all, an amazing night for everyone on Broadway. My only question…the Hamilton cast released footage of the squad rehearsing Wait For It. Was that just to throw us off? I was really looking forward to Leslie singing that. Ah well.
