Awe, I can’t believe people are dumping on August without knowing the entire story. Emma did this herself in Storybrook. She accused him of ratting out to Regina about the shovel when he was completely innocent of it. We don’t know for sure he is acting alone, or that he completely abandoned Emma. It’s too coincidental that Emma’s baby ended up in Storybrook, not without some help. I’m thinking August went back, under orders from the BF (I totally believe she is behind everything) and made arrangements for Henry’s adoption.
And when he left Emma again, how do we know he went out to have fun. Maybe he had other missions to do? How do we know for a fact he took the money? He could have very well left it in the car. Really, if he was that horrible, he simpley could of walked away and kept on walking when he was a little 7 year old boy. I just don’t understand the August haters. Like both August and Jefferson stated, people only want to see what’s in front of them instead of looking at the other angles.

Faux Pax & Phee, great thoughts!
Yes, the stills released from Hat Trick, where August was standing outside of Jefferson’s house. I remember that back then, anytime I tried to post on OUAT FB about those stills & theorize that August & Jefferson were in cahoots together, they would remove my posts. Another friend kept trying as well, same result. So, in my mind it meant one of two things. Either the writers changed their minds and went in a completely different direction OR there is most definitely a connection that they’ve decided to hold off showing the fans.
We know Jefferson was trapped in his house for 28 years, that is, until Emma came to SB. He knows everything that has been going on though. How? A telescope will only take you so far. He tells Emma he knows about Henry & his storybook and knows that she refuses to believe in it. Was he spying & listening in on their conversations or did August tell him about Emma having to believe in the book? Did August first go to SB as a starting point, over 11 years ago, prior to finding Emma & Neal? Did he meet Jefferson then?
Jefferson realized then when Emma first arrived, things started changing, that she had magic. That I understand. However, how did he know so much about her being the actual saviour? He was pulled from Wonderland remember and wouldn’t have known. How did he know so much about the storybook and Emma having to believe in it? He kept telling her to “wake up”. Seems like he definitely had to have spoken to August or Blue.
I’m going to say, I love your theory, and I would love it if this is true. I just have this inkling feeling that August does know a hell of a lot more than he lets on. It’s why he’s turning to wood. I refuse to believe he betrayed Emma until I see it for myself on the screen. But coming back to it, if we have Jefferson being alluded that he possibly went to Oz, then, isn’t there a connection with August on this as well? Didn’t his bike tag say Kansas on it?
warhorse78ParticipantDo people think he still might have a connection with Alice in Wonderland? People think he might know something about Oz, because of the license plate on his bike, and that he might know something about Neverland too? What’s the back story on all of this? I highly doubt he was off in Tailand fooling around. It’s too easy of a storyline for these writers. It’s definitely going to be more complicated than him just having fun.
warhorse78ParticipantEmma and August. I love the whole mystery and plausability with these two, and how they lost so much, but are fighting to find it. August in particular, is very mysterious, just as mysterious to me as say, Bae. I know him, but yet we don’t. I hope he’s actually there for Emma, but I have our concerns. I like how Emma was at first distrusting, but it looks like she learned to trust him a little too late. And, I love the rapport both got with Henry. I think it’s adorable. I just hope this side of the story isn’t forgotten.
