I think if you are having a poll you should have a poll, but I do see hjbau’s point. This forum is pretty heavily skewed in favor of Rumpel, so it might be interesting to have a poll asking, “aside from Rumpel episodes, which are your favorites?” Somebody could always post that poll. I’d vote!
p.s. I voted for Skin Deep. 😉
[adrotate group="5"]weedithParticipantI chose Mr. Gold for his snarky potency, his tragic love story, and his polluted devotion to his son.
I chose Regina for her complexity, her willingness to take down entire realms to soothe her hurt feelings, and her polluted devotion to her son.
I chose Archie because he is adorable and deserves his own story arc and not just to be a conscience for everyone else.
weedithParticipantI am in the St. Louis viewing area and Once is on at 7:00 now, after America’s Funniest Videos. (I know because I get the tail end of AFV on my Once recording.) So this might not be a change at all.

There is nothing so dangerous as someone who has nothing to lose, and if Regina truly has lost Henry, there will be absolutely no controls on her behavior. Rumplestiltskin is really going to have to watch his back at this point.
That said, I would love to see her make some sacrifice for Henry that proves that, twisted as her heart is, she truly does love the boy.
weedithParticipantI don’t want to be labeled a hater, and I held off commenting right away, but I was disappointed with the finale. It has been mentioned a few places, it all seemed REALLY rushed. It would have been a fine finale if the show had been cancelled and they wanted to wrap up loose ends before they were done. But there is every reason to believe they have at least another season to work with. Specific issues:
Emma’s conversion was so sudden as to be laughable. I get that she was traumatized by Henry’s collapse, but I’m thinking I would be airlifting the kid to Mass. General for neurological testing before going with the diagnosis of CURSE. No MRI? No blood tests? Not even a cursory exam of the thing he ate immediately before collapsing? Instead, Emma goes right from, “Y’all are crazy with this curse thing,” to, “Sure, I’ll take a sword and go by myself down a loooooong elevator shaft and fight a dragon (in my high heels) in order to get a golden egg out of her middle because there is a bottle of true love in the egg which will heal my son from his mysterious ailment.” Or did holding the book, which she has held before, give her the flashbacks to things she has never seen and cause her to believe?
Rumple and Belle. This has been a big buildup and mystery as to how Regina was going to play the trump card and SHE DIDN’T EVEN PLAY IT!!! Jefferson decided to send Belle to Gold instead of taking her because…….? Just hoped she would figure out how to find her way around Storybrooke without being seen and without running into Regina, whose son is in the same hospital.
And Mr. Gold who was so worried that Bae would still be angry with him, didn’t even occur to him that Belle might still be angry? And why wasn’t she angry? Or at least a little bit hesitant? Or at least questioning as to whether this well-dressed gentleman was her lost grey-skinned love? I was looking forward to that reunion and, other than some nice acting by Carlyle, it just seemed to get passed by in the whirlwind of plot developments of the last 15 minutes of the show.
I feel like the Griswalds European vacation
“Look kids. Big Ben. Parliament.”I need to watch again and hopefully it will grow on me. Right now, I’m a bit let down.
weedithParticipantI picked Snow, but upon reflection I should probably change that to Emma. Emma made the supreme sacrifice by placing her child for adoption because she knew she could not provide her son with the home that he needed. She couldn’t have known he would end up with an evil queen.
weedithParticipantIf you want to do a whole dinner — lasagna. Heart shaped candy or cookies.
weedithParticipantThere is certainly room for all sorts of shifting alliances or new villains to arise. Rumplestiltskin is an obvious option but many others could become “villains” or foils in pursuit of their own ends or under the influence of spells. Jefferson has shown himself willing to go to great lengths to get what he wants. So has August and even Gepetto. We have seen Snow be villainous after losing her love. Who knows what Emma will do once she finally believes. I don’t expect her to gt cast in a villain role but she might have goals that are at cross purposes with everyone else. Don’t forget Malificent and king George back in FTL. I think there are all sorts of directions they could go. Don’t forget, these are LOST writers — they are masters at the pull-back-and-see-the-bigger-picture device which allows for all sorts of new storytelling within the same sets of characters. I have faith!!

Sorry, Mary Margaret’s apartment is already occupied, by ME! You’re welcome to crash on the couch, though. 😀
weedithParticipantI like the theory for giving Belle greater significance but I really think it is more likely that Rumple wrote the book. How would Belle know the details of the stories in the book? Do we assume that everything WE see in FTL is in the book? How would Belle know how Jiminy got to be a cricket, for example?
I think Belle’s significance hinges in Mr. Gold’s line to Regina—“You no longer have anything I want.” I really expected her to at least hint that this wasn’t true in the last episode, but I guess we may see it in the finale. Regina may play Belle to get Gold to help Henry. Magic made him sick so maybe he needs magic to cure him.
