Oh, I thought you were talking about the BIG hiatus. (Between season 1 and season 2.) I’m hoping there will be a coordinated re-watch when we can take up an episode every week or couple of weeks for rehashing and re-discussing in light of all we learned for the whole season. Maybe we could schedule a time for rewatch, then have some time for forum discussion, and the guys (and girl 😀 ) can podcast about the rehash. Just a thought.

I’m betting something happened after Leopold’s death and before Snow’s wedding. Somewhere during that period, Snow came in from the cold, as it were, and once again became the lady at court; and Regina became a pariah. Perhaps Snow was finally able to expose Regina for her evilness, resulting in Regina being driven from power. Looking forward to seeing the rest of this story!

Okay…seeing the previews for next week makes me want to be the keeper of Rumple’s Dagger…so nobody could ever kill him!
Midnight Dreary beat you to that one. Don’t worry —- it’s in good hands! 😉
weedithParticipantRumple has made it clear that magic can’t bring somebody back to life so we can assume Kathryn has been alive all this time. Possibly hidden, bewitched, captive or a combination of all three. Question is — is that really her heart (magic) or was the DNA test tampered with (ordinary frame-up)?
weedithParticipantRumplestiltskin had Bae before he became the Dark One and started making deals. I think Bae lived long before Cora was ever born. If what the knight implied is true and he is not Rumple’s real son, it is not because Rumple dealt for him, but some other circumstance. I thought he was suggesting that Mrs. R hcan even unfaithful and gotten pregnant by some other man.
weedithParticipantI do get your frustration. Whenever an episode is over and I don’t feel like the “main” plotline has been advanced I can feel a little let down. But drawing on the experience of watching Lost (which is probably instructive, given the pedigree of Eddie and Adam), when I look back at those episodes, I often find that there is more there than I originally thought. I am not suggesting that there is NO “filler” along the way. They can’t tell their story too quickly or they will run out of plot by the time the first season is done. But I do think some of the seemingly lesser plot lines advance the themes of the show as a whole.
I also think it is too early to tell which characters will end up being important to the overall story. They spent a lot of time at the beginning with a couple of main plots — Henry and Emma, Snow and Charming, EQ and Rumplestiltskin. And I think they do that to draw people in and get them invested in the show. But in telling a complex story, you can have a lot of side plots and peripheral characters that enrich the overarching plot. I don’t think we will know until next season, or the next (knock wood) or the next, whether Hansel and Gretel were anything more than a creepy new telling of the Hansel and Gretel story, or whether Nova will end up influencing major events, or whether Malificent is a major player or just a washed up unicorn lover.

I think this is an amazing idea!!!
But I am a little confused… What exactly do you need to do to be a keeper? Will keepers post notes or sittings of their objects every week to be added onto a list or something? Or do we just get the title and look for the objects ourselves?
No responsibility at all. Just the title and bragging rights that you called it first. 😆

Or it’ll be David and MM remembering and then trying to convince her she’s their daughter. That would probably be a rather discouraging endeavour.
Oh, that has some interesting possibilities! The relationship between MM and Emma seems to be such a central part of what motivates Emma, second only to her relationship with Henry. Emma has come out and said she is consciously trying to change her ways and actually let her guard down and let people close to her. It would throw things for a major loop if all the sudden Emma started thinking MM was crazy. Or if David came to Emma with this wacky story.
Not relevant to this thread, but I’m betting MM and David will not both remember at the same time. It is looking like David’s memories are coming back around first, and it will cause all sorts of turmoil if he goes to MM and tries to explain it to her. She is already mad at him.
weedithParticipantWow. People have some great theories! I still feel really in the dark as to the whole situation surrounding Belle in SB. I think TPTB just put in that one little scene with her and deliberately left it ambiguous just so we would drive ourselves crazy trying to figure it out! One thing I do feel certain of — I don’t think Mr. Gold knows about Belle. That is such a huge reveal and a huge moment, I would feel really ripped off it had gone on behind the scenes and we are never going to get to see it. I think it will be a game-changer for Gold for sure.
As for Belle’s reaction — so much depends on what her experience has been since she left the Dark Castle. If Rumple had gone after her within a short time, or even if he had caught wind of her father locking her up, etc. (if that really happened), I am confident that Belle would have given him a second chance, and given their “true love” a second chance. But without knowing how she was affected by the curse, it is impossible to know how she will react to him. Really, we know Gold/Rumple so much better as a character that it is easier to predict what he will do. I hope we get the chance to get to know Belle much more.
